When Girona faced Atletico Madrid, everyone believed that Girona would lose that day, but the reality was different. Girona performed brilliantly and managed to win 4-3, it was really dramatic.

The match between Girona vs Madrid will still take place much later, around February 11, so there is still a big opportunity for Girona to develop a good strategy because even a draw will be very profitable for Girona. The result did not surprise me. Athletic club is a team which is in the 5th position and doing very well constantly. Sevilla on the other hand, I don't know what happened to them. They can't seem to be doing anything at all. They are right around the relegation zone with 16 points. Who knows they might even get relegated this season. Who would say that they were the team who were in the top 4 just 2 seasons back? Last season they performed poorly as well and this season it is even worse.

But credits should be given where it is due. Athletic Club are now in the 4th position because Atletico Madrid lost that match against Girona. Athletic Club may even catch Barcelona if they can keep up since Barcelona is struggling.

Yes, I 100% agree with you. I remember when they used to be called the European League team because they used to win the Europa League every season under Unai Emery. As far as I know, due to the financial debts, they had to let many key players go this season and they could not sign good players. That is why they are suffering. Last season they suffered as well but this season it is worse.

What was no less exciting was seeing Brahim Diaz's performance in this match because thanks to him Real Madrid was able to score 3 goals. Brahim Diaz was key in the penalty kick scored by Joselu, after which he scored the second goal for Real Madrid, and in the third goal he provided the assist for the third goal scored by Rodrygo. Well, I think lending Brahim Diaz to Milan in the last two seasons is very meaningful if his performance is like this and will definitely be very helpful for Real Madrid in all existing competitions.
