Will be a smart move for Barcelona if the negotiation goes through smoothly but I doubt if it would be as easy as we thought. You can't really ask for more than the market value of a player, the market value is calculated WITH age calculated as well, so he is worth 40 million because of his age, if he was like 34 with same skills, he wouldn't be worth this much at all. I think with Felix wanting to leave and wanting to be sold to Barcelona, it feels like he could force the hands of ATM to sell him even cheaper.

I can see something like 25-30 million range plus some bonuses as well which could be done. Plus, they could also do instalments, like 10 million per year for 3 years, that is not impossible and available as an option, meaning they would only need 10 million for the year.
