Rayo's defense was very solid and real madrid was unable in breaking rayo's defensive line. Ancellotti has changed the patter by put rodrygo in the game but it doesn't give good impact. Sometimes, im thinking that if bellingham was the only player that can take the risk. He was helping club to win the game many times.
I think that missing him and use valverde as attacking midfielder was not giving expected performance. Im concerning this caused by bellingham was also very active in attacking its opponent while valverde is quite passive. This is the difference between bellingham and other AM.
