though its a choice and if you observe that as its going ooo, they will make it you can continue because in some cases patient dog eat the fattest  bone, and if its the others side pursue your leg. don't know maybe you should run ooo. you can leave the project just take it as you have done your best so leave the rest

If you're in their signature campaign and participants in the signature is much, just calculate the stakes and do your calculations. If it doesn't favour you, leave and if you think it will, continue it.

Most of the signature campaign doesn't allow leaving in mid of campaign! If you leave your whole works/stakes will be abandoned! That's why people hate extension in bounty campaigns! Though some bounty manager realizes this situation, that's why nowadays they let participants leave the signature after 4 weeks or after the first phase of bounty campaign!

Yeah extending isn’t a bad even it’s apart of bounty campaign, teams have right to change their general terms. But it’s matter about of allocation, it would be increase. Rather you didn’t expect 20$,50$ rewards instead of 23 weeks. Meanwhile we seeing mostly bounty did extend without increasing. It's seems worst changing in bounty.                    

Sometimes it kinda sucks, but hey it is gonna be an extra earnings due to extra weeks given.
I've read a thread yesterday about some bounties having "phases" of payments.
That's what people should probably avoid. It's synonymous to saying that payments are about to be delayed, even though at some cases delays are pretty much understandable..

This happens to a lot of projects. It is understandable that projects need more time for them to gather funds for development. However, as you said forcing participants not to leave by making a rule that stakes will be removed once you left is abusive.  That is why as much as possible I look for BTC payment bounties to avoid this kind of risk when joining bounties.

Some campaigns are reasonable to extend their campaign. I also understand their situation that in order to gain more investors they need to extend their bounty campaign. But I guess they should announce it early if they need to extend it, I'm sure some bounty hunters will also disappointed if they know that after the long time promoting their campaign, they will extend it again. I think additional 1 month is good for bounty extension. Some BM will allow their participants to leave but they should wait for their payments after the campaign. In your case, I think you should better to ask for your total stakes to be summary and leave it. Start to find new campaign.

That is too risky, that is almost half of a year promoting a project. If the compensation worth it and you have look at the experience of the project team if they can deliver on the promises, you can go ahead. It will be most painful if you proceed and the project failed.

If that was adding more reward to the participants and that could be fine. We can take a look at oikoss which has added more reward as the duration will be doubled from 4 weeks into the 8 weeks.
If that 's also a trusted coin and why not? as long as you will get a good result at the end of campaign.

if your stake can be saved in spreadsheet you should not continue in the extra weeks because I have quite bad experience with projects that do that but if you have confidence that the project will give you a lot of money then continue

Sometimes is a bad sign and sometimes is not, I saw a few Icos extending it because they need to collect more fund and after that just fail and a few bounties just extend with more tokens/coins allocation to keep spreading the word about the project.

What you should consider is
1. What was the reason for such extension?
2. Was the reward increased?
3. Does the reward worth the time allocated to the campaign?
and finally, what attracted you to the campaign. If you like the project, it's best you hang in there and finish up with the campaign.

I dont like being extended when you are doing a long time campaign already. The managers were not to blame for having an extension but we cant also blame the team. Maybe their goal was not expected or did not raised any good sales. Like most projects that doing these are surely will have a chance to fail, Im not saying they are not sucesful but having not enough budget for the project means ita gonna have a delay and that word is one thing many hunters hate to hear.

But I appreciate some managers who are keen and understandable that can let you exit the campaign while your stake for previous weeks are save and acknowledge.

It's ok when projects describes why they decided to add extra weeks to bounty campaign. But the description must be clear and connects current economic situation.

Reasons like: "the projects show so much interest, so we decided to extend bounty campaign" or "we extend campaign, because lots of investors wants to make an investment" and something like that are lame excuses. All this means that there is no interest in the projects and they just want to raise more money.

Also one must look on current bounty length. If it runs already for 3-6 months, extra weeks is an indicator that you will waste time with them.

But if campaign runs for 1 month and team decided to add one more month - it is ok with me. 1 month of advertising is not always enough to introduce projects the World.
