Still no escrow?
Seriously?
Well I volunteer then.
At least I am a bit more trustworthy than the dev with his measly 18 posts (I have 570 at the time of this post and have been a member for a year and a lurker for longer).
Anyone can check my posting history, I am pretty vocal about warning others of scams and calling bullshit when I see it. I also helped develop the counterparty GUI.
If anyone agrees I'll post my BTC address and start an online excel doc. This project is getting interesting, but no escrow is smothering it.

Thanks for stepping in. I agree it's looking interesting. My main concern is that the beta time until launch is too short to iron out critical security bugs, especially given the source is closed (and, in this release, slightly obfuscated to dissuade decompilation) so cannot be reviewed. What would your escrow terms be? Also should formalise dev's escrow terms: criteria for determining if funds should be paid or not; when and under what circumstances an investor can pull out, etc.

I think dev should restart IPO with escrow/marketing/bounties just because only few people are interested in.

@dev: I'm interested in this coin, seems innovative!! I have the following questions:
1. How many days left for IPO from now???
2. Can we see the amount invested so far?
3. Escrow?

Can you publish the total IPO amount or IPO investor list? This will help later investors make decisions.

What would your escrow terms be? Also should formalise dev's escrow terms: criteria for determining if funds should be paid or not; when and under what circumstances an investor can pull out, etc. I think 1% fee seems to be standard. In exchange I'll keep track of investments in a public excel ledger. I would transfer funds to the developer only upon receiving a working wallet/protocol and confirmation of coins to the investors. Any and all discrepancies I will be siding with the investors, not the developer. If anything starts to look fishy; I start refunding. If the dev has nothing to hide then he has nothing to fear. These terms would increase consumer confidence so I don't believe he should be seeing them as negative.
I also think it would be wise to restart the IPO and agree on increasing the beta testing phase to allow for more bug reporting and testing. Quora dev, do you agree to these terms? You obviously have more to gain by doing a fair and open launch than a trustless IPO.

I do not have any problem with an escrow. Here are my terms for anyone who would want to organize it: - I am not responsible for any losses caused by the escrow provider. - The escrow must be released within the first month of release. After the escrow has been released the participants will get access to their funds. - Only escrows before the end of the IPO are accepted. I cannot restart the IPO or make it longer this would be unfair. The beta however might be prolonged depending on how things work out. Can you publish the total IPO amount or IPO investor list? This will help later investors make decisions. https://blockchain.info/address/1LDKa5i4qxzvQNoQpwU5es3aq9c95ooSFgAt the end of the IPO I will publish the list of all the investors and the amount they will receive on release.

With escrow, how can the dev scam you? Damned idea.

- The escrow must be released within the first month of release. After the escrow has been released the participants will get access to their funds.
Participants not getting access to funds until after escrow is released somewhat defeats the point of escrow! Also, please make it clear (qora & any escrow provider) what the participants' cancellation terms are, should they choose not to go ahead (assuming it is not a blatant scam). E.g. can they simply say "I'm no longer interested" and get their funds back, and if so until what time?

If I would not release the funds after he has released the escrow it would destroy this project. The same goes for him. If he doesn't release the escrow it would destroy the project and I can not give him that much power. People can always ask for refunds. And after the launch they can exchange their funds back for their investment.
