Hello this is my 1st post.
I have been solo mining with a single S9 for the last 2 weeks and I figured I would have more chances by joining forces with someone and split the reward fairly rather than mining alone.
I do realize there has to be a lot of trust involved but what the heck? I'm willing to take that chance, would anybody be interested?
I did this more than 5 years ago and we hit a 25 coin block that I split 3 ways. One of the other people hit the block not me but we all were mining to this address. https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/addresses/btc/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53VbtjeThat sounds very exciting and congrats, hope you still a huge portion of that reward today, do you think you would like to try that once again? It was a lot different in fall of 2015 or when ever we did it. I understand, I'll be here buzzing alone trying to find that block for the next couple of months until sun season returns, then I will switch to solar/battery & pool mining But till then I'll be looking for a mining partner, if anyone changes his/her mind I'm open to cooperation

I would just recommend you to try it on your own first. It is not impossible. Some blocks have been found by small miners in the last 1-2 years. Only one thing is for sure, if you don't try, you won't find a block. ######## For all you gamblers, I remind you of our block party run. We still have some seats free https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5237323.msg61604543#msg61604543

Unlike the last blocks that were found in this pool, the current finder is trying to stay in the dark. At least I haven't found anything like a signed message or anything else. You have to accept that, but I would have liked to know some details about which miners were used over which period of time, for example.

What is the best port to connect ASICs to CK Pool
take a look into the first page --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5237323.msg54141823#msg54141823Configuration: Just point your miner to: stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 or port 443 Asicminer tube/prisma owners need to point to a special proxy at solo.ckpool.org:3335 If you use an incompatible rental service that refuses to work on port 3333 or need a high diff, try port 4334

Hi all. I've opened discussion of the possibility of altering the solo pool mining algorithm to a mixed solo/shared alternative. I've been approached to help build out a pool with 50% solo and 50% shared (minus pool fee). However it occurred to me this could be made configurable, where you choose what percentage you mine solo. For example, by default it would default to 50/50, but you could choose to still mine 100% solo, or 0% solo. If you choose 100% solo you would receive no block reward unless you are the block solver. Conversely if you choose 0% solo, you would share in any blocks solved amongst people who choose to share. It would be as simple as setting your password field to the percentage chosen and have a default value if no password is set. I started a poll regarding mixed mining here: https://twitter.com/ckpooldev/status/1621753619463933953Note that I've made no commitment to create such a pool at this time, but I may be convinced to do so if there is overwhelming support.

That's a great idea CK ! I would love to see this idea done one day. In the scenerio of shared shares, what about the fees if a block is solved ? Could we imagine a system like mmpool where the block solver keep the fees ? Edit : I don't have a Twitter account, please consider my vote as a +1 in favor of shared hashrate

Not a problem, I didn't post it here to get people onto twitter unless they're already on there. I just wished to make people aware of the discussion.

Do you plan a new add pool or do you plan to change the actual pool to the new one? Is solo mining than possible… as we do that today?

No firm plans at this stage, but I've been offered a commission to design and build out a new pool with multiple nodes, originally with the 50% solo idea, but then I came up with the idea of making it configurable. Even if it were to replace this pool, solo mining would be entirely possible by specifying 100%. Separate ports could be set up to specify different defaults if it's not feasible or easy to use the password field.
