It was really a desperation on the side of DRX, they really don't know what hit them Dove with his Ornn was really useful as a supporter for Sandbox Gaming and Aphelios for them had trigger them to really push through I though the DRX could win in the 4th game but Sandbox have manage to push the towers to victory,

I doubt that it will be an easy task for T1 to breeze past the TI group stages and main stages. You still have a lot of competent teams that are also vying for the top spot in TI, and I'm pretty sure it will be a cut-throat competition just like what TI has been over the decade. T1's got the good supports teamed up with both 2 time TI winners. Their chances are elevated but remember, this is still a team game and they still need to play as a team if they want to get a good placing in the prestigious tournament.

but Kt could reverse sweep    massive throw from DWG in game 4, they had baron, opponent inhibs down, and they still lost the game. This roster is so bad, hurts to watch

DotA 2: I'm still not sure what is going on when it comes to TI qualified teams. Has Fanatic qualified to TI through DPC points or is it Outsiders? From Liquipedia, it stated that Outsiders are ahead of Fanatic by 0.5 points to make the cutoff but Dota2 official website still states that Fanatic are ahead of the Outsiders? What's going on? Maybe the stress of the situation was shown by Fanatic as they just lost to barely active team called Resurgence, who were active last during TI9. They are probably playing regional qualifiers, trying to qualify for TI again.

Valve retract there announcement about Outsiders having direct invitation on TI after they recalculate again the points and that 0.5 points difference is supposed to be for Fnatic. This is a crucial error on valve side since fans is already happy about the announcement. They should compensate Outsider for this error since the difference is just 0.5 points.

Top 5 is a tough ask to reach. They have not been playing for long and even if ANA and TOPSON were previous back-to-back TI champions, they were coming from retirement. ANA played as a stand-in in Riyadh and Arlington, but that is not enough, I think, to get back in his true form. Topson has not played professionally for a long time as well. The SEA qualifier will be the testing water for him if he can still be competitive in the pro scene. Anyway, good luck to them in the coming qualifier.

Why would Valve compensate Outsider? They are just butt hurt because they did not get a direct invite. It is an error in calculation and just 0.5 points. It could have gone either way. If they were better, it would not have been this close.

They should focus on qualifiers rather than this issue. They still have a chance to enter TI, it is a harder path, but the door is not totally close yet. They should put their energy into it and make sure they are qualified. And then they can have their revenge to FNATIC if they meet in TI.

The first leg of the iem europe rmr qualifying tournament has been completed. From this qualifier 5 teams qualified for the main qualifier. They are Sprout, Falcons, Mouz, Aurora and OG respectively.
The only team I am surprised among them is of course aurora. Maybe the weakest team among these 5 teams.
Sprout had a very good qualification. We can say that the team has really risen with their recent transfers. I hope everything goes well for them. We can say the same for the falcons team. Misutaaaa and NBK transfers seem to have improved them as well.

I cannot find any source that Valve admitted to an error in their DPC points calculations. Valve just clarified that what is on their website is true and correct. I can understand the frustrations of Outsiders, the other eastern Europe teams, and some of the fans. Because in a perfect world, Liquipedia's previous calculations were actually very right. In the absence of points rulings like round-offs and the number of decimals then everyone will just stick to normal calculations which Liquipedia did (2 decimals). Without decimals, in calculator and excel, 168.30 becomes 168, and 159.80 becomes 160. I guess nobody expected Valve to turn 159.80 into 159. And for many years this should be the first time that Liquipedia's calculations differed from Valve's. And for many years, it is now pretty clear that there are no round-offs when it comes to DPC points. And perhaps Valve can also stop using the term 15%, 20%, and 40% penalties because that will only make Outsiders' total DPC to 2021 which is 1 point above Fnatic. The correct term should be 85%, 80%, and 60% of the DPC points to remain if substitutions and removal of players happen.

Anyways, the company has spoken. Good luck to Outsiders, NaVi and BetBoom duke it out for a slot to TI.

Well actually people seems to have forgotten that liquipedia is not Valve and according to Valve's calculation, it was always Fnatic that get the last ticket to TI but because of Liquipedia's own calculation that stated Outsiders get the ticket then people seems to make fuss about it. Well considering Outsiders results in the Major, pretty sure they would have qualified either way through the regional qualifiers though

That game 4 loss from Damwon was tough heading into the next game. I thought KT Rolster was about to complete the reverse sweep after coming out ahead in the drafts but man that game 5 was back and forth both carry players getting the kills late in the game then that surprising straight mid push was just too fast from the side of Damwon and KT couldn't go back in time to defend as they're caught off guard after taking the drake.

Today the explosion premier fall group stage begins. The first two matches will be played between Vitality-OG and NiP-Astralis. I especially think that the Vitality-OG match will be very close. I feel like whoever wins will win by a small margin. Because I can say 2 equal teams, especially after the spinx transfer.
I think my preference will be for vitality. For NiP-Astralis, I see NiP one step ahead.

Actually I will agree with you if the only mistake is just announcing the name of the winner but Valve do a recalculation and change the formula that result to a different outcome. This error is not the typical error because it involves the formula on determining the qualified team. This is very crucial on both teams that has just 0.5pts difference. TI has huge prize so I wouldn’t blame them if they are butthurt for overturning the result because if this happened on Fnatic, I’m sure many Filipino fans will do the same.

It has been a great day for Vitality so far. ZywOo's performance so far is one of the biggest factors in their success. Their new transfer Spinx has also contributed very well to the team. On the other hand Astralis have had ups downs. After losing to NIP in the first game I was surprised because their recent performance was actually better than NIP. However Astralis gathered themselves up later on and they are in the group final now.

The finale between them and Vitality is going on really competitively. I think Vitality will manage to win the game.

They are the strongest team that hasnt qualified from their region, so, there's a very good chance that they get through to TI. They have to go through these extra steps now though. So, less time to prepare for strats and qualified teams, separately.

Props to Outsiders for being a sport for that honest mistake. A lot of teams would surely be furious about this oversight by Valve, and would be rallying the whole Twitter horde for this incident. Outsiders have a really huge chance of making it out of the regional qualifiers. They are a very experienced team albeit not being in a long-standing organization. I just wish that they don't choke so hard on the regionals just like what they did on the last major. They were poised to give everyone a hard time but it seems that their machineries run out of steam pretty fast right after the group stages.

What an effort by Astralis today!

After losing against NIP, I thought that this wasn't their tournament. But they made an insane comeback after that. They beat OG and NIP consecutively and managed to destroy Vitality in the finale as well.

Actually Vitality had a good advantage in the finale but Astralis never gave up and won by OT. It made me start thinking whether Astralis were bringing back their good old days. I can't wait to watch them in the main tournament later.
