Guys, do you think that ICOs could make a come back? I do and here is why. Every year dozens of companies raise money in Silicon Valley for startups, many pre revenue. Also, with the economy injured from nCov19, it would make sense to allow for new economies. This would include letting new startups in Blockchain raise money, and imo if they are well vetted, and trusted by the community, they should be allowed to raise money. What do you think?
They will certainly do but the majority of investors will keep their hands off of it since a lot of them got burned the last time ICO almost drown the market with a useless token this pertains to those cloned projects and forge whitepapers.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

In my opinion, if you really want to develop it seriously, then I think ICO will return as before. therefore I think they should really do a new breakthrough on the ICO so that they can be trusted again as before.
That's true, however, the problem is whether the investors will also return or will start to put their trust again in ico. Even if ico will make a serious project and they really put their effort into it, if investors will not trust it then there is no chance for the ico to return in this field.
back again to individuals who want to hold it, because trust is very important for any investment, including in crypto. ICO has often disappointed many investors because many are naughty and misuse it to look for profits that are not commendable.

I am sure ICO will be able to succeed again if all of us who are connected want to work hard so that naughty people abuse their authority to no longer be able to grow. cooperation is needed from those who supervise to those who want to become investors.

That was definitely misused by the team because there were no watchdogs so they were free to do whatever they wanted including to flee with investors' money and there was no guarantee that the ICO would all know that ICO would not grow again.

The departed, most likely not to return. The ICO has completely exhausted itself, along with the hopes of investors that they placed on it. The development of the crypto industry is very rapid, therefore, new paths are needed that are difficult but paved, so there will be no return.

Don't write it off completely. Back in 2017, the ICO generated so much hype that the investors rushed in to invest in various projects without properly studying them. And obviously many of them failed and the investors lost their hard earned money. One of the major issues was the huge number of projects and the fragmentation in investment resulting from it. At least now., the number of new projects have come down to sustainable levels. But generating interest from the investors may take some time.

I think no more ICOs in the future.Start up blockchain project should not consider ICO anymore. They should just join the IEO. Its better for both investor and the developer.and also investor will have no doubt to invest in such project. As we all know there are a lot of projects with ICO before that turn to be scam, bad or forgotten project.

There have been a lot of scams in the ICO. People have lost faith in the ICO and are now leaning towards the IEO. IEOs listed on reputable exchanges are likely to be successful and ICOs will no longer have a place.

IEO is only good when you select large exchanges, if IEO is organized by small exchanges then I believe it will be like ICOs. Price will be poured many times and making investors lose

only IEO becomes an update from ICO,
the IEO system is also good if it is done by a good exchange, but if not, the same as scam ICO

A good platform for conducting IEO is Binance. Due to the fact that they carefully select projects, investors participating in IEO get a good profit after the start of trading on such a coin. I remember that only one project was relatively unsuccessful out of all that were conducted on this exchange.

today many people are disappointed with ICO because it causes too much fraud in 2017-2018, for now, many investors are more supportive of IEO, where they are already bound to several exchange contracts.

I dont think there will be a comeback for ICO, but for sure the successful ones are those who distributed their tokens via IEO. Theres a lot of manipulation and corruption in ICO. Blessed are those who joined in good ICO.

but don't they think the rise of crypto 2017-2018 is also a result of the many adoptions that have occurred because of the successful ICO project? now IEO cannot absorb investment as big as it has ever been in ICO. we all I think are aware of it all.
IEO is still popular, but it's not for everyone. Because the hardcap for IEO is very low, it's not like an ICO. Only those who are lucky and have enough money can participate in the IEO at the leading exchange in this market

IEO was seen as a way out because people imagined if there is a coin that gets listed that quickly, it would be much better, it would cause the price of that coin to skyrocket and would be valuable. Only because it is listed on an exchange, that is the only difference between an ICO and an IEO.

However, they realized just because its listed doesn't really change anything, people really do not care about any coin being listed since they only care about selling their shares and getting out right away and make a quick profit. This means people are moving back to ICO times since they could at least invest, let it breath for a while and get listed afterwards causing the price to be consolidated a bit and not go down that quickly. ICO could be the future for a little more while.

I believe that the return of the ICO can only be if there is a return of trust, which we now unfortunately do not observe, as well as an influx of new money. You are right. The economy has suffered and blockchain technology has the opportunity to be sought after. But as for cryptocurrencies, there is a big question. At this moment, many chose a waiting position in the hope of a new flight to the moon. I often monitor new projects and tell you that most of them are very bad. So, the ICO is hoping for a return so far very early.

Some big icos that have already ended this year were not putting a huge cap as their hardcap. As far as i know of they were getting raised only a few million dollars like what have been doing by IEO these days.
It looks like ico tried to compete with IEO again.

The time of Icos are over and IEO has taken over and i don't think the game will be changing any moment from now because major exchanges that host IEOs seems to be listing only credible projects with lots of return potentials and that's perfectly what investors and traders wants instead of ico that can hardly be vet to know the credibility

I still see some successful ICOs in raising funds, but it does not help investors to be profitable. When listed in exchanges, its price drops several times and disappoints many investors
Because raising funds is not enough, we have a lot of ICOs in the past that raise over $100 million but they are nowhere to be found now or they are already inactive, so how much more a project that raises a small amount and they want to be successful in this tough crypto market times.

Because they are scam projects, they don't care about investors. After the ICO ended, they gradually left the project with a huge amount of money. Never waste money on ICOs because they will surely fail in this market

Agree, 99% of ICO's are SCAM. Only some IEO's on Binance can be trusted.

Yes ICOs should make a comeback and ill tell you why.

A while ago I came across an article and it made total sense: http://blockadvisor.io/2019/04/22/the-problem-with-ieos/

IEO's are just the exchanges way of subversion of the ICO idea. The whole concept of the ICO is to allow average joes to get in on the ground floor in investments. Allowing for potential huge profits on the users end. To do this in traditional markets you HAVE to be an accredited investor. IEOs open it up so anyone can do it in a decentralized way.

The "scam' argument is played out at this point. Are there scams? Yes. But there are scams everywhere in life. You must DYOR and not invest more then you can give up. Too many people were throwing 100K at projects in 2017 trying to pretend to be institutional investors. You have to be able to spot the crap and not go in too hard if you cant afford to.

Second. Even in the traditional markets, there are tons of zombie corporations that do sh*t all. Horrible investments, yet they are still there. Welcome to planet earth. Not every investment is a good one.

Third. People need to understand that most ICOs are STARTUPS. With that said, most startups fail. This is jus how it is. Were looking for the gems in the rough, it's a gamble but the risk to reward is what makes ICOs attractive to high risk profile investors.

Fourth. I cant count how many IEOs ive seen release on exchanges and because the exchange made shady rules in the NDA the project in question fail. Ive seen exchanges hold up coins on the exchange, not letting coins be withdrawn, exchanges suppressing the price of coins so the can buy up the supply and more. Im not sure why so many people in this space are so trusting of exchanges and/or think these exchanges have YOUR best interests in heart. They don't. So furthermore, why do so many people want exchanges to hold the power of ICOs??

So yes as the link I shared states in the vision of satoshi, decentralization and giving the power to anyone who has the nuts to take a risk and does his research properly ICOs are superior to IEOs. Both for investors AND projects.
