Phewh! The account rec is done
http://bit.ly/sgUtZo

That took WAY longer than I cared it to. Some issues btw:

* stick_theman is on there twice
* RaggedMonk's donation never cleared. I suspect it was sent to archive.org directly
* There are some donations I can't link to anyone, down below in Unknown part. I suspect some of those are Bruno's.
* gsan's donation of 10BTC, should I keep track of it separately, and only have him donate 1BTC per charity?

Feel free to check the transactions to see if they are correctly matched up to your addresses. If you wish that info removed, let me know as well.

I like the tracking system. Thanks Rassah - that looks like a lot of hard work. It instills confidence in the project. Those vacillating over a possible donation can now easily accept the project as tangible/genuine.

Thanks for the compliments. The main reason I did that, really, was because of my financial OCD. I like to track every penny of the money I am working with (including my own), and feel way more comfortable when I can reconcile everything and see where it cae from and where it went. Having this up there will hopefully help people feel more comfortable about me being honest, too, since they can see where everything came from and where it went, and should be able t catch anything funny should it happen.

Thats awesome news. And a very entriquing project that I have just now heard of. ;p Saved it for a later read. Are they making efforts to have it be more secure from the kernel up?

On Topic; Should the ideas of sending a few of these recent acceptors 'gift baskets' be handled through the Bitcoin100 or would they be too off course for what we aim to accomplish here?

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

* RaggedMonk's donation never cleared. I suspect it was sent to archive.org directly
Yes, I sent directly to Archive.org's address.

I'll fund the btc100 account when it has concrete plans to donate.  So far I've only seen a lot of talk and no action.  Disappointed there wasn't a donation to Archive.

Very nice job, Rassah! I see that I've accidentally chosen the right person to handle the financial aspects of Bitcoin100. Serendipity rules!

Expect another post by Bitcoin 100, shortly.

Just like that! You simply state that you're pledging, whereupon I put you on the list as a supporter. The honoring of your said pledge is based on the honor system, or you can declare that you've honored a pledge by stating such on this thread or, soon, on the website. The address you send your donation to is: 1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4ac

I hope that addresses your questions and concerns, to date. I took the liberty of putting you on the list, now, since you've expressed interest.

As I've previously mention, nice job. Here's my donation list:

1. Phinnaeus Gage (Bruno) (100+) (Honored 1 BTC + Matched 13 BTC + Proxied 2 BTC + 9.8989898 BTC)

In regards to gsan's donation, we'll leave it as it stands unless he instructs up otherwise. I remember penning a post stating that he only needed to honor one at a time.

Prior, I also mentioned a concern of the numbering of the names. That is no longer the case, seeing that this is just a spreadsheet tracking activity, with the numbers on the left simply the number of the line.

I like the tracking system. Thanks Rassah - that looks like a lot of hard work. It instills confidence in the project. Those vacillating over a possible donation can now easily accept the project as tangible/genuine.

There's goes my final hope of using the funds to purchase old musty smelling reclaimed barn wood. Thanks, CornBeefHash!  Grin

The more nonprofits I learn about that accept Bitcoin as a donation option, the better. It'll make that list that much more impressive.

I guess having it as a separate project is fine. I'm viewing it as a gift from this community for doing what they done. It may need a few more BTC, though, to help pay for the coffee from bitbrew.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment, RaggedMonk, for the current wallet not being transferred to archive.org. That action in still in play, though. I'm pretty sure that archive.org enjoyed receiving some of those BTC due to some efforts put forth by Bitcoin100.

It's never too late, Jeremy. Besides, 'the party' is just beginning. I took the liberty of putting you down for (1+) which translates into you pledging at least 1 BTC and will honor it when you see fit. Thank you kindly for your contribution.

BTW, I ordered that book from Amazon thanks to you. Did you see the thread where I outlined how the whole process progressed? Also, nice interview, the other day.

Here's the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=54705.0

And sure will leave the feedback, once I receive the book from the Amazon seller, although not receiving it would have nothing to do with the service you provided, enabling me to purchase the book with Bitcoin.

Thanks, Bruno.

The transaction is on the way, but hasn't been etched into the blockchain as of this writing. Have a look for transaction id 13402a1e002984c2fc1950744d67b68fd137acba062a664010c9213eb1f03b0d in a couple of minutes.

Edit: The transaction appeared in block 157877, link.

But I do feel a need to explain that you didn't have to pledge 10 BTC to this wallet. Remember, it currently isn't allocated towards any particular charitable organization. You're more than welcome to dole out 1 BTC at a time and only after reviewing where the wallet is tentatively heading. I offer up this explanation, not only to you, but everyone reading this, so that there's no misunderstanding.

* gsan's donation of 10BTC, should I keep track of it separately, and only have him donate 1BTC per charity?
In regards to gsan's donation, we'll leave it as it stands unless he instructs up otherwise. I remember penning a post stating that he only needed to honor one at a time.

Ah, so will we get a separate address for each new drive?

The way I gathered, it would be more like a pool, since notifying each pledger for 1 BTC every time would be too much work.. I didn't want to miss following my promise, so I thought I could give in batch. I don't want to be the odd one, so if it's a problem please include it as a whole for the first donation. Smiley

First, my apologies for not documenting the .15757575 BTC which, by the way, is not part of the 9.8989898 (I can clarify what that total consist of, if anybody is interested)

Now onto who tricked who first. My post was in reference to your post, below:

Oh my! Shocked It seems it just happened again! Such rascals!

It was this post that you tricked me into donating .14159265 BTC as outlined here:
