Thanks for clearing it up. I checked Rassah's ledger as well and it was easy to confirm from there how it works. I will continue to honor my pledges, this is a great project and it works exactly the way it should. I will make a separate post when I have sent my share of the second wallet.

I hope we get our second charity soon. We should use our past successes as examples when we promote this to new organizations.

Thanks a lot, Technomage, for giving me the opportunity to address your concern(s) and now for your kind word about Bitcoin 100.

Rassah, why does it say Pledged/Charity 0 and Pledge Total 0 under my name.  I thought I pledged 1 per charity and no maximum (other than me going broke or dying) or am I not getting what those columns are supposed to mean?

I have you down at 1+ at #81, CBH. Let me know if you desire to have me change it to 100 on the list in the OP. Bear in mind if you make such a decision, it's not necessary binding. Consider it an informality.

Oh, one other thing. I don’t know whether you're involved with GLBSE but I think you're safe to take Peter Lambert off the spreadsheet. You will never get anything from him. If you need backup for that talk to Nefario about it.

For visualization purposes only, I've opt to keep PL's name on the list as I've done with Atlas's. Again, in and of itself, the list acts as an informal tally.

Is there a way the Bitcoin Snowball and the Bitcoin100 could go into a collaboration of some sort? I wouldn't know how but I'd rather ask than not ask.

Cheers

I think the first Bitcoin Snowball serendipitously worked out quite lovely. For starters, simply state on a regular basis where and how the first snowball ended. After that, keep trusting the users with their decision making. That said, I'll fund the next snowball by depleting an Instawallet account with Balance: 0.1635758 BTC. Who wants it next?

~Bruno~

Excellent! Keep your Instawallet account ready for when the Snowball goes off (and hopefully it does)!
I'll announce it in a separate thread when the time comes.

And thanks for the kind feedback on the first one (we can do better than that!).

I just looked at the spread sheet and noticed you have me down as 1 btc / charity for a total of 20 coins. I didn't make it very clear in my post post here, but I meant that I pledged 20btc for 100 charities, at 0.2 per charity. Not much, I know, but I thought a reliable source of income was preferable to a coin here and there.

I apologise for any misunderstanding.

For the record, I had it right. So that this sort of thing never happens again, the secret board of directors will have to let somebody go.

But please leave the coffee table when you pack up your furry things.  Grin

just sent one more for the next charity

Thank you, Goat, for your contribution. I've registered this transaction on the list in the OP. I have your name at #75 as Goat. Please advice me if you desire it changed.

As some of you may have noticed, I've started linking contributions to the posts. I felt it necessary in case a time came where somebody may need to be let go.  Wink

The website for Bitcoin 100 is currently down. http://bitcoin100.org/cgi-sys/suspendedpage.cgi

This is my fault and has to do with billing and my credit card information. In contact with Hostgator now and should be back up later today. I'm heading to Wisconsin shortly so, when I get back this evening, this should be resolved.

bitcoin100.org is back up again. Sorry, all, for it being down. The credit card issue is now resolved.

I'm stuck in Baraboo, Wisconsin, tonight. Just came back into the hotel room from breathing in the first air. For a second there, I thought I got a whiff of theymos, but was mistaken, for the wind is blowing from the wrong direction, unless...

Fixed. Sorry. You still have 0.8 left as part of your honored pledge now.

Took care of it boss. Went out to Taco Bell for lunch today, got a burrito, and let one go.

Was away all weekend, but back, and caught up with all accounting. Someone sent in 1BTC, someone else sent in 0.0015BTC. I put them both as Unknown.

It's been a while since I've been on the forum. Nice to see you guys managed to find an awesome charity!

Sent another bitcoin for the next charity: http://blockchain.info/tx-index/3608083/6785f705b690e34fa0fe5a890b4a42615e62ce772adc632a0b4af8a832f73b3a
