I think football lovers will need some time to concentrate on the national leagues again. By the way, don't UEFA need to make an update in their club ranking criteria? Elche? No way, this team simply don't belongs to La Liga. The problem that Atletico is looking like a team which can lose to anyone. But loss against Elche would be overkill.

If that rankig would be really important, then yeah, changes would be needed. But now it doesn't matter in general, same like FIFA national team ranking. It's only important for qualifying stages, seeding of clubs and etc..

Not very important detail - Valencia won't have to go anywhere because Villarreal is playing their home games at Levante stadium this season because of their stadium reconstruction. It should be interesting game.

Yes i hope , they (FIFA) dont make again a World Cup in November December time, the worst league its the Bundelisga, they have the last match in mid November and the next one is in mid january for troubles with winter like always, its so much time without playing real level football.

Damn, good thing you posted that here, totally forgot that Spanish league starts early this season due to congested schedule. They are not usually even thinking about restart before New Year started and everybody gets back from skiing trips

This season we are spoiled for good football. I am thinking this winter World Cup is actually a good thing, we had high quality football all the time. Problems will probably start for some teams towards the end of the season when fatigue kicks in.

Yeah World Cup really screwed with our brains, but in a good way. I definitely thought it was a good idea to do it right from the suggestion because of the high quality we can watch in clubs, with all the rest in between for most teams. End of season fatigue is better than mid season and end season fatigue I think!!

Exactly. It's not that I'm so much into Elche at all, it's that Atletico simply can't be tolerated at the moment, read that now they want to get Firmino? You can't ask a positive player to play negative football but who knows what Simeone thinks of?

Elche or no Elche , ATL.Madrid are not having a great year overall so maybe Elche can indeed speculate this situation and get a positive result even if it's very hard to achieve a victory vs ATL.Madrid so maybe a draw could be happening.

judging by friendlies, Betis is far from top form, and Bilbao outscored all teams on friendlies
does not have to mean anything, and Betis has 5/7 home wins, but Bilbao has good season as well

Can't believe I missed this one too, you're absolutely spot on for the game of the matchweek! Sevilla is almost 4x which really reflects the situation they're in now in the table, fighting for survival and coming down hard from such a terrible season. And yet it seems like a great bet considering they are meeting Celta only 1 spot above them.

^ Yeah, Sevilla the royal bed crappers, don't even want to think how much they cost me but come on, we've learnt our lessons about them already haven't we? I remember in one of the WC threads people were asking why Bono isn't considered for best goalie and as great as he did for Morocco... you cannot play 5/6 games and then say you're awesome. Its really strange to see Sevilla in the relegation zone, its like for ton of years they were on the top 7 in the league and a sure thing in the Europa League.

Opening game of round was great, my BTTS bet passed easy, butlater games were so disappointing and it burned my profit. I had 2:0 on Atletico, but literally few minutes before the game I changed it to 3:0. Another proof that such changes isn't good idea .
If it's difficult to expect something exciting from Atletico, even against Elche, then I had bit bigger expectations from Betis - Athletic game.

I might have exaggerated the reality with my statement honestly, but that's only because of how close I knew the players below me are, I expected that some of them would have gotten a number of points with those first two results, and Atletico Madrid was seeming to be another wrong pick but they later gave me an exact score with their 2-0 win, and when I check the rankings most users have just 6 points so far, so maybe it's  not been a bad start for me anyways.


Real Madrid facing Valladolid later today along with some other fixtures, with an injury-free squad, I think Real Madrid at 1.5+ Odds is an actual steal, I might just go for Real Madrid to win and BTTS in Sevilla vs Celta Vigo where I expected goals at both ends, on a single betslip.

This pool is hard to climb, I got 6 points from first 4 games, two close scores from two draws and exact score for Atletico. That isn't even enough to make any progress in this pool while it is more than enough to take a nice bit of money from bookies. I know i can't possibly do better than that so I don't even get disappointed with my placing anymore. Rest of the guys is simply too good.

Did you guys see Morata goal/performance yesterday? He dribbled into the box and took some week shot or even pass and then fallen down like they killed him. While he is almost dying on the field he hears from crowd that his team scored a goal, miraculously gets up to celebrate with his team mates only to realize that he is the one that scored a goal.

That moment when draw away with Celta for Sevilla probably isn't that bad result, considering everything. They're still in relegation zone, but in upcoming few rounds they will play mostly with bottom table teams, so, they will have chance to finally go up.
Real game starting soon, it will be interesting to see how they will look after break.

The Premier League pool is included in this as well. I'm aiming to finish this season at least at a position that I can get a prize.

I absolutly killed the predictions this GW, never had this good results in my career. 7 games played 3 exact scores and 3 close scores and still it isn't even enough for yellow cap. CasperBGD and MoSala with exactly the same predictions in all those games as far as I could see.

Yeah you are rocking this round, no man i didnt notice that, and i dont have any form to contact him. Its really strange because he is a really active user in the forum and more in this section.
