This loss for Brest could easily have been avoided. The last goal was completely unnecessary. I mean the last moment when they actually ended up conceding a penalty. In the first half, Brest played really well. They were actually playing well until Lyon started scoring goals. From the moment when Lyon scored their first goal, it looked like the defense of Brest was starting to crumble. They were starting to make more and more mistakes in the defense. And finally, they ended up losing the match because of that.

This has made Brest buying in fear of dropping down to the third position. And they also had a red card for Tagliafico which is a very important player for them. They are going to have trouble in my opinion.

It's hard to believe, Brest is in second place in the standings awhile got losses against Lyon have lower current standings position after dramatically match with the result over 4-3. Its crucial victory for Lyon after conceded over 1-3 until 70th minutes but success made come back for winning over 4-3. Slowly, Lyon success moving to the higher position standings and their points almost close reach the Europe League spot after having bad performance in the early season and dropping to relegation zone.

Currently, Lyon has 8 points remaining to reach Champion League spot and small points left to set up one place for Europe League next season although have play more one match than above teams standings. I think Lyon has chance with moving up to higher standings position 5 remaining matches later.

Maybe no one would have thought that Reims would submit against Strasbourg last week and the hosts, Strasbourg, beat Reims quite badly with a score of 3-1. Recently we have seen Reims lose its consistency, even in the previous match they only drew against Nice without a goal. The record of their last 5 matches is also bad, where they only got one win and they have also lost so many points in the last month.

This made Reims fail to move forward and they only remained in 8th place in the standings and would be easier to shift in the next match if the results remained the same as before. Reims, which I know has a good defense, seems to often experience carelessness and this is well exploited by the opposing team to steal points from them. Well, hopefully they get up soon considering that Ligue One will end soon and at least they will finish where they should be.

Honestly, I personally am not too surprised by the defeat obtained by Reims in the match, indeed in terms of position, Reims has a better position in the standings by being in rank 8 in contrast to Strasbourg which is in rank 12 right now, indeed both have a much different position previously but if you look at their performance in recent weeks of course Strasbourg is still better than Reims currently with 2 wins,  2 draws and 1 loss, in contrast to Reims who were only able to win 1 win and 1 loss and 3 draws, indeed the team that forced Reims to draw was a big team but I think the these three are actually not in their best form at the moment.

The beginning of the season Reims was able to surprise us quite because they played quite impressive but when entering the middle of the season they slowly began to bad and often played unstable, to be honest when the season started, I quite salute their defense but for now Reim's defense is not better than Strasbourg, you can see in the standings if at the moment the number of Reims conceded more goals than the goals they created so it feels like it will It is difficult for them to end the season in the Europa League zone this season.

So far there is only Mbappe who really looks dominant and has made huge contribution to PSG, in fact they have been able to continue winning Ligue 1 for several seasons, especially this season thanks to Mbappe being with them.
For other competitions such as the UCL, I don't think PSG really has enough performance or strength to compete and be able to win the title in the upcoming match, it is certain that PSG will fail to beat Barcelona away and they will be eliminated.

I am not saying that it is true word for word and every price, but to be fair, Transfermarkt shows that Mbappe is worth as 180 million and total value of PSG as 1.02 billion euros. By comparison, the closest team is Monaco with 347 million euro. Meaning, if Mbappe were to leave today, and you drop whatever remains to half, it still doesn't go under Monaco, they would still be the leader.

This is of course the value, just because you have a higher value, doesn't mean you will win, the year when Lille won, did PSG have lower value? Of course not, but I think putting all of the achievement to Mbappe is wrong. We will see what will happen next season, Mbappe will be gone, and I bet that PSG will have an even easier win for sure.

Kylian has been the main man for this psg side since his move to the club over 4 years ago as in a large period of those 4 years, he’s ended up the team’s highest goal scorer and that’s enough to help the team be able to consistently win the league. They’re very good when it comes to them winning the league rather than how they perform in the UCL.
 
 ⁠In the UCL, this fierce team are just a shadow of themselves and even when they have the likes of Messi and Neymar, yet they aren’t able to do anything tangible in the team and it’s worrisome. They’re always failing to reach the Semis of this competition and yes the fans aren’t enjoying it anymore as thy though this is their year but they fell at the Park des Princes last week to Barcelona.  

 ⁠Now the chances of them going through is very slim because they’re now going to Camp Nou which is one difficult ground to overturn victories. I think it’s because of reasons like this Kylian is wanting to leave the club to be able to win European trophies and get himself on the limelight.

 He’s decided to go to Real Madrid and I feel that’s really one cool decision especially as he’s one player the team needs to still keep dominating Europe. And Real Madrid is a balanced squad and Kylian will fit in easily in the club so the move isn’t a bad one rather it’s one that’s timely and needed by both parties.

When Lyon was behind with a score of 1-3, then I thought it was over for Lyon to win this home match against Brest. Yes that's right. I was one of those who watched Lyon from the start of the season, they slumped at the bottom of the League 1 standings at the start of the season after failing to win in the first 11 weeks. And slowly Lyon's performance began to improve after achieving five wins, including against AS Monaco and Marseille where they seemed to be finding their confidence again. And of course Lyon's revival and struggle to return to 7th place occurred after the change of coach.

The victory over Brest was not luck but the result of the hard work of Lyon players who wanted to continue to recover from their downturn at the start of the season. I don't think as like you. It is true that the PSG team is a bit behind compared to Manchester City or Madrid. However, it cannot be said for sure that PSG will lose against these teams. We saw a few years back when the Chelsea team won the Champions League title. Chelsea were a mediocre team. Even then, this team won the Champions League title by surprising everyone.

PSG team is not as strong as City or Madrid. But right now I can't say that PSG have no chance of winning the title. PSG played very well in yesterday's match against Barcelona. In this league which is having one of the worst season due to many factors things are not easy to predict as we have in last few rounds with Nice lost their spot from second to fifth and Lyon are now touching new highs as they were at the bottom and now having chance of UEFA events in next season as they are currently one of the best team with their performance and going to face PSG in next round which is also having not good time in Ligue 1 with having five draws in last ten games which is huge decline into their performance but mostly are saying it is happening due to coach strategy as he is trying few things which will helps them after exit of the Kylian Mbappé in next season.

In an environment where the best teams in the Champions League are discussed, PSG is currently one of the top 4 teams. I think there is no need to say anything else about this. They represented themselves in the best way and managed to win away and went to the next round. I think those who think it is unlikely that they will even leave the group will be ashamed now.

PSG played well and managed to win against Barcelona but let's be honest, if PSG faced Real Madrid or Manchester United or even Arsenal in both legs, the result will be very different. Barcelona red card impacted the game a lot but it wouldn't be the only cause of the defeat. Barcelona is weaker than what used to be and the advantage they have in term of goal difference weren't used as it should be.
We will see the next team that PSG will face to get a better view whether they can play the final game or not.

I agreed here partially because I also feel Barcelona is weaker side and red card having big impact on their performance in rest of the match which allow PSG to win with good difference and qualify for the semifinal of the event with now they are going to face Borussia Dortmund which is also good side but for me here now PSG having better chance of qualifying for the final because they are having good performance against them, and they can win this round as well.

In early 30 minutes of the game, we have good control for the Barcelona, but suddenly they lost their momentum and also lead of the two goals which allow PSG and Luis Enrique to dismantle and win this game by big margin I was having impact about PSG is one of the weakest sides in this round, but they achieve good result and now things are well-balanced for them to go for the final.

I don't think as like you. It is true that the PSG team is a bit behind compared to Manchester City or Madrid. However, it cannot be said for sure that PSG will lose against these teams. We saw a few years back when the Chelsea team won the Champions League title. Chelsea were a mediocre team. Even then, this team won the Champions League title by surprising everyone.

PSG team is not as strong as City or Madrid. But right now I can't say that PSG have no chance of winning the title. PSG played very well in yesterday's match against Barcelona. PSG's match strategy was very good. With the help of Luis Enrique, this team is now very stable. So PSG also has a chance to win the title.

I think when Chelsea won the Champions League twice of course at that time they were no longer considered a mediocre team, because as I recall, when under Abramovich's ownership, Chelsea have turned into a strong team in the league and even then they had a pretty fantastic squad, so it would be wrong to say Chelsea at that time was a mediocre team that surprised a lot of people.  For now, in terms of squad, of course PSG and Manchester City are almost equal, but in terms of a winning mentality, of course we cannot compare the two teams.
