There are 8 weeks left for the end of the season. And the gap between PSG - Marseille is 19 points. This means that PSG can even announce their title officially this week in case of increasing the gap to 22 points. 

Of course the season is over for PSG and there is no title race in the Ligue 1 from now on. They are completely focused on the Champions League trophy. Eliminating Liverpool was a strong message of their capabilities. Can't wait to see more of that performance.

Now, the only things that can save Marseille are a miracle or PSG forgetting to show up. Even if Marseille wins their last 8 games, which would give them 24 points, if PSG scores 71 this week, the game is already over. Plus they're playing St-Etienne, a team they should easily beat

But this PSG team isn't just made to beat France. They are changing into a European beast. Eliminating Liverpool in pens? Already sliced Barca 6-4 last year. Next up is Aston Villa. This isn't the same PSG that often lost in the last few minutes. Luis Enrique's side is really disciplined and effective now, and they seriously want that Champions League title

Yes, that's right. Besides, Dembele did it in League One, there are some other players who are much better this season, and they did it in the best league in the world. But it's a different story if PSG manages to get the UCL League trophy this season, maybe Dembele deserves to be included in the Ballon d'Or domination.

There is hope, especially since PSG is coached by Enrique who has almost the same playing tactics as when he coached Barcelona with accurate passes and attacks. Even PSG can go far in the UCL league by beating Liverpool who are in good form both in the domestic league and the UCL league but in the hands of PSG they can't do much. PSG only need 74 points to ensure themselves as champions, which means they only need to win 2 of the remaining 8 matches. I assume, that scenario will work perfectly, Saint-Etienne and Angers will most likely not be able to delay PSG journey to lock the trophy. Marseille in my opinion is no longer considered, regardless of the results they can achieve until the end of the season.

With this situation Luis Enrique is very fortunate, he can freely rotate his players, and overall can shift his main focus to the Champions League. I think PSG will not stumble against Aston Villa, because their current strength is one level above the Premier League representatives. Now PSG have the confidence and mentality needed, especially after successfully eliminating Liverpool dramatically.

It is true that there are still many other brilliant players who have the potential to become Ballon d'Or winners (like mbappe, lewandowski, kane). I think one of the reasons is because Strasbourg have been solid in their last few games. They managed to beat Lille and draw with Marseille who are currently in second place in the standings. I think that is the reason why Strasbourg cannot be underestimated. They also don't have a big points difference. I think both teams are on the same level. I think a draw would be fair for both teams.

As you can see in the image above, the difference between the two teams is only 2 points, so if Strasbourg can win, they will overtake Lyon in the standings. That's a strong basis for bookies to give high odds for Lyon, because this will be a tight match for both teams. But, just like the majority opinion, I also still believe that Lyon can get 3 points in this match.

I think Lyon can still be the favorite. But I really can't predict which team will win the match. I mean it's really going to be a tight match. Both teams are in good form. Lyon is definitely the favorite. But Strasbourg come with a lot of confidence after getting points from Marseille and Lille. So there's no reason for them to be afraid of Lyon.
