They lost 3-1 to rennes a few days ago. But they have  regained the top spot in the table. Now psg  must continue their winning streak. PSG has the full potential to perform  consistently well. PSG still have the best  chance of winning the ligue 1 title if they do not suffer a bad defeat  in the upcoming matches.

Paris Saint Germaine is  having a very poor campaign this season on the French League but the sad truth is that no other club in the league is strong and consistent enough to strongly challenge them, that's why they're most likely to end the season as French champions again. I initially thought that Lens will give them a good run for their money but that's not happening because Lens doesn't have the needed quality of players and depth to achieve that.

PSG is usually the favourite to win the competition every league because the domestic league is more of their culture to always become winners every season but things took a different shape when they lost so many games leaving Lens with the option of becoming the new challenger for the league title. Lens has not lost the title they are still in the race what they need is to avoid more defeat then wiat for PSG to lose because their performance doesn't show that they won't lose again, the title is between them but the team that performs better should win the crown.

If lens keeps their focus and do not loose any game any further, all they will be needing will be just a slight opportunity from PSG and they will have the title from the defending champions. But PSG has one thing they are good at, and that is, they know how to navigate through the Ligue one no matter how difficult it gets, except in extreme cases of very large margins, they will still bounce back and win the title. But it would have been more fascinating having another team win this season.

Yes, PSG do possess a very strong winning mentality, and this is evident in their performance, as they once trailed Lens at the top of the table, but managed to catch up and now sit atop the table with a two-point lead over Lens. Usually, in tight situations like this, PSG are able to overcome the pressure and ultimately win the title. And it seems that situation will also be the case this season, where if PSG leads the table, other teams will find it difficult to compete with them for the title.

If PSG wins their next fixture and to the table ahead of lens by 5 points, I doubt if Lens will be able  to catch up again, PSG will make sure to the fact that the points gap is maintained and they will also not give any space or room for and to any form of decline again on their side, all the chances to win the title they will be sure to utilise to the best without having to leave behind any of the opportunities so as not to deny them the title.

Even though Monaco came from behind and surprisingly won Lens and gave PSG a chance to go top of the Ligue 1 table, I think if Lens can maintain consistency and avoid dropping points they can still be a threat for PSG this season, but I don't think Lens could have a chance of winning the Ligue 1 title this season if they allow PSG top them by five points.

I mean it is Lens that lost to Monaco, while Monaco isn't a terrible team, they haven't done that great for a while this season. Losing to Marseille and Monaco does make you not be as strong and even though PSG has lost points as well, Lens can't afford weeks like this and that is why they are not doing that great.

I think winning the title isn't possible for them because we are not going to see them do that well. Look at how they lost to Monaco, I think they are having some stress now because it is getting more real. Getting used to winning a title makes it easier to win one more, but when you are doing something that nobody thought would be possible then suddenly you are going to feel stress a lot more and that could make you lose like this.

I would say it is not about PSG as much as it's about Lens. While I do believe that PSG will do fine rest of the season, I think Lens will not do as well as PSG. Think about it this way, if we make their points all zero points, like start equal from here, I do not think Lens would get more points than PSG, nor even same points, Lens will get less points. When I believe that, it is really hard for me to think that PSG is a good team as an excuse for them to lose the title, it is just that Lens did alright so far, but won't here after.

The lens was a bit unlucky. They played at home against Monaco. And was able to perform quite well. But even then lens lost the match.

Monaco scored their first goal in the 62nd minute and their third in the 72nd minute. They took a 3-2 lead in just  10 minutes. After that , the lens players tried hard to equalize the match. But they failed.

Despite being the team topping the table at the moment, Lens has the same chance as PSG to win Ligue 1. There are only two points separating them, with PSG leading by a narrow margin.We cannot say that PSG is going to win all their matches because they have not been consistent at this point. The way PSG is currently playing does not convince me that they will win all their remaining matches. The same applies to Lens. There are still tough matches among the remaining fixtures, and I believe PSG may drop points, while Lens may also drop points.That could later give Lens the advantage to return to the top position. When Lens went top last week, nobody expected PSG to lose their game to Rennes. So, PSG is unpredictable this season.

That Rennes loss wasn't really a PSG collapse. Enrique played the wrong goalkeeper to rest peoples for Champions League. And Rennes had a keeper that just had the game of his life. Literally one night out of those nights. You can't plan for that. And then literally the next week 3-0 against Metz. Comfortable. Like it never happened.

PSG always does this. They fall from one, immediately bounce right back. That's actually how it's been all season. So calling them "unpredictable" while they are probably the most consistent team in the league on the whole... Idk man.

Now Lens, I love what they are doing. But the reason that they are at 52 points is not fully earned? That's harsh but hear me out. Their goalkeeper has been superman. A 21-year-old that was in Ligue 2 last season. What happens when that stops?

The April battle at Bollaert though. THAT is where it is all gets decided. One match, home crowd, Lens with the luxury of fully resting, PSG with the potential to be playing Champions League midweek. I'd be watching that game with every ounce of attention.

That's just the sad truth. For many season now, that's how it has been but at the end of the season Paris Saints Germans will still be champions. If you asked me, I will tell you French ligue 1 is the most easier and weak league among other European leagues. If what's happening in the French league is the same as what happens in other leagues, we'll have one team winning every respective league. There is no serious competition in the French league but I can see things taking another dimension this season. Lens is trying to make things interesting but we can't tell how long or far they can go. With two points gap now, if Lens can be more intense and PSG keeps declining, perhaps we could get a new champion this season.

If lens win all their remaininggames, they will be the league champions. They have 12 games left to play, lets see what they can do.

12 games potentially means 36 points, with only 2 points of difference we can't say anything other than that the championship is wide open, like in La Liga.
At the moment the only league with a dominant team is Serie A, so I'd say that La Liga and the French League are more fun and open at the moment.

Lens plays against tough opponents. Paris Saint Germain, with their quality and top-level performances, can beat these teams, but Lens has a limit to their capabilities. Once they reach that limit, they can't do any better. It's great that they've even been in the running up to this point.

Yes, it was a big disappointment to see Lens lose just after they had returned to first place and seemed to have brought the intrigue back into the race. But it's still worth noting that Monaco is a serious opponent, even if they're in a temporary crisis. Plus, the situation isn't dire yet – PSG is still struggling in the Champions League, and Lens has a chance of seeing them make another mistake. In the next round, Lens plays Strasbourg away and it will again be a tough game.

If they manage to keep the pressure on PSG, they have the chance next round, which is the mirror of the current one, Lens is playing Metz wich should be easyand PSG meets Monaco, quite funny since they also have the two meetings between PSG and Monaco in the CL, so there is a chance at a flip...if not...

But honestly, I don't see Lens managing this...they crash way to easily under pressure, and if PSG goes full guns on them from minute 1, they will lose that chance also.

Yes, right now PSG is competing closely with Lens to compete for the League 1 title, the point difference between them is very small, but I'm not sure Lens can survive until the end to compete sooner or later maybe he will lose a few points, but Lens has a chance to occupy the runner-up this season if their performance continues like this, the point difference from the 3rd team is 7 points and in my opinion it is a safe enough distance to stay in the 2nd position.

At least the Ligue 1 will no longer be seen as the farmers league this period as a healthy competition is been seen in the league going on currently. Lens had been really commendable this season with their performance, but they should still be mindful that PSG is still not far from the top and looking at the fixtures like you have said, we can only hope for the best.

The two points are still an excellent base to start from and try to give the lens a boost, which is certainly what it can do with an excellent performance, an incredible series of victories and a crazy amount of work on the team. These guys really know what they're doing, they know very well that there's still a lot to do and they can still win.

In today's match in the French league, Strasbourg was completely unstoppable against Lyon because after watching the attacking tendencies of the Strasbourg team in the 23rd round, it seems to me that this team has very comfortably defeated Olympique Lyonnais, who are in third place in the French Soccer League table. I have a short list of teams I won't bet on this year, and among Liverpool, Juventus and Dortmund the obvious choice from Ligue 1 is Monaco...

Monaco - Lens 1:4 > Lens - Monaco 2-3
Rennes - Monaco 4:1 > Monaco - Rennes 4:0

FML, I'm not betting on this!

Also, PSG is 1.3 for both games, might sound tempting at 10x but no, Monaco will find a way to piss me off no matter what I bet on.
+2.75 at 1.3 would be the riskiest I would place but no, I'm not going to put a penny on Monaco's games this year!

I didn't think we would get to this point, honestly the lens surprised me and i have to say that i never thought PSG would have had so many problems getting rid of them, they are just fleeting results, and everyone knows this, we could see a gap between the two in the last matches.
