Marseille's performance is a bit erratic but they are not weak. Although their performance in the last three matches has been  erratic. And they have failed to win. Even then I will say marseille will win against brest. Brest is far behind in the points table. Also, marseille has won the last three  matches against brest by a big margin. In the three matches , marseille's players have scored  12 goals and conceded only 2 goals. So I believe that marseille will not  make any mistakes in today's match.

There's logic to averages, but it's not always practically meaningful. For example, in the season when Bayer won the Bundesliga without a single defeat and scored 90 points, while the average champion (Bayern  )scored 72-82 points. PSG are currently performing not much worse than usual, but due to the presence of a new competitor, this may not be enough. Lens has 12 games left to play to take the title from PSG. After 22 games already played, it seems quite achievable, doesn't it?

This is the most important match of the season for both teams. Whoever wins this one has the chance to win the championship. It's such a shame what happened to Monaco and Marseille. Marseille is at least at fourth place, but if they didn't had such a terrible three weeks in a row, they could have been third, and there is still a slight possibility that they could be third if Lyon starts to lose games and considering Lyon has been on a great streak, eventually losing points is a possibility for them.

However Monaco is even in worse situation, they are 8th right now and doing worse. These are teams I expected to be second and third place based on how much money they spent and how they looked before the season started, so them being fourth and eight instead is a very tough situation for them, doesn't look that great for them at all.

I agree with your analysis. Lens has stepped up this season, and I'm tipping them to win the league title, but even if it doesn't happen, I will still be pleased with the performance. Since beating Nice in matchday 16, they've gone toe-to-toe with PSG and have really made the title race interesting, and not what we used to see in previous seasons.

I think Marseille will easily win against Brest, they don't seem like a particularly strong team to me.
Of course we can say that they are not too far away, let's say they are in the middle of the table except that Marseille is in the top half while Brest is in the bottom half.

Paris Saint-Germain is a team that is improving game after game but this is a task that is up to them alone and only they know how to manage, they also know what condition the team and the players are in, but it seems that they are improving and that they have all the credentials to be able to win the championship.

Even though I know that PSG are among the top favourites to win the trophy, I still have a bit of doubt that they will be able to make it. At this point both teams have the same chances of becoming champions. Before, I always thought that Lens had no chance of winning the title because it belonged to PSG.
