For now crypto can only gaze at gold at crossroads and side by side looks like it still takes a few more years. Perhaps the classic reason for crypto is its fluctuating movements, whereas gold tends to be more stable. So investors definitely choose gold over crypto for the long term.
I think for that reason, Crypto is very suitable for long-term investment, because the Crypto price fluctuates so it can get profit in the future, Gold is suitable for safe Haven investment because the price is stable so that our assets do not fluctuate like Crypto.
fluctuations dont guarantee a future profit . what if you say that crypto will be profitable at 2021 but what if fluctuations did occur too on that year and the price fell down ? but fluctuations mostly defines short term or mid terms .

crypto is suitable for long term because of its scarcity  but we cant also know what will happen in gold , golds value can also increase in the future because gold is scarce too but it can be less because we dont know if how many supply left for it but most cryptos are fix and have a small supply only .

Crypto and gold are both unique on their own, but as we all know crypto is very volatile compared to gold. Despite that crypto has a bright future indeed especially now that massive cryptocurrency adoption has been everywhere. So I can say that crypto will be more trending in the future rather than gold.
If we talk about current adoption of Crypto, yes, we will see a bright future for Crypto. When that happens, the demand for Crypto will increase and of course the price will go up, While gold prices tend to be stable so if you save your money into gold then your assets are stable or safe haven.

value in cryptocurrency more but gold will always act as a defensive asset and in this bitcoin is trying to compete with it. Conservative investors are still buying gold now because it retains value better.
For gold, it is clear that there are still many people who like it, and people now also want to buy gold because of its very good price considerations and it is still considered a precious metal in the world, so obviously there is nothing to lose to always have gold, even though Bitcoin is also more good in several other ways.

If you take the current market capitalization, you can see that gold is valued almost 30 times higher than Bitcoin ($10.6 trillion vs $350 billion). And in the future you can expect the gold market cap to go further up, as the availability of easily extractable ore is declining. Anthony Pompliano recently claimed that by 2030 the market cap of BTC will be higher than that of gold. It is going to be almost impossible. In order to reach that milestone, BTC exchange rates need to increase by anywhere from 30x to 300x.

I have thought that one key advantage crypto (bitcoin, litecoin, Dash, monero etc.) has over gold is that its supply level is fixed and transparent, but can this or features make crypto more valuable than gold?
for the price i think crypto price is much higher than gold. but for gold it can be much more stable than crypto. between gold and crypto has its own pluses and minuses. So I think there is a lot to do to see what crypto or gold will be of value in the future

Hi,

I believe that each one has its place, cryptocurrencies unlike Gold` is a non-tangible asset with its immediate exchange advantages.

There are things that you can logically or not do with cryptocurrencies, gold by history has always kept an exclusive financial place due to its physical properties.

I leave this link where these two assets are discussed in more depth.

Bitcoin beats gold already, the whole marketcap beats gold, since many years now many entities have compare gold with bitcoin and truth speaking bitcoin is digital gold, this worth have been proven many times before, bitcoin have died hundreds of time before and it's still coming back alive

Gold is in price at all times, only once in history was that silver was worth more than gold. Bitcoin is an unstable currency compared to gold, but it makes sense when you buy cheap and sell expensive, and gold is a hard currency, you won't earn much on it.

crypto has a fluctuating price whereas gold has a stable price. it all depends on their respective views, there are still many people who don't know crypto and still think that gold is more valuable but for those of us who already know crypto and invest, of course, will think that crypto is more valuable

Have you compare bitcoin and gold price? Is there a difference in price?

Bitcoin price now is traded above $19.000 per one bitcoin and gold is currently traded below $2000 per ounce.

So, what do you think? which one is more valuable? I think we don't need to wait for long time to see which one is more valuable because bitcoin is more valuable.

Of course, crypto is more valuable than gold.
Look at the price of bitcoin.
It is now 19000$. In 2008 it starts its journey. How much price pump do you think ever.
Look at gold.
It is not pump like bitcoin.
And also the demand of crypto is increasing day by day.

If we are honest, for safe haven assets, gold is certainly better than Crypto, but if you want to get profit from price fluctuation cycle then Crypto is the right choice, with Volatile prices we can get profit when trading. Gold is suitable for long-term investment because your assets not changing, but stable.

Yes, I agree with you in that of which gold is more safer as an asset or an investment compare to bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. However, because people do want quick or instant like instant noodles, instant cafe and instant earnings then this is why people are chosing cryptocurrency rather than gold. Gold is a traditional form of investment and there is nothing wrong holding to it that even myself would be love doing it.

Both have its own advantages and need to allocate some percentage to your portfolio for both gold and crypto. Neither both can be replaced by each other but just in terms of returns Bitcoin has a better return possible due to its volatility not undermining the risk too involved is much higher.

Gold is pretty stable now and one of the most known asset in the world for a long time, well I'm not quite sure how you would compare both was it based on price? 1 gold can be vary depends on its weight and crypto is based on number well what I know is that both of them are valuable.

The mere thing about gold was it is a stable investment and you rest assured that even if you keep it for a long time it still has a value while having cryptocurrency will definitely give you a profit even a high profit depend on how you would play your investment but of course a higher risk comparing to have a gold. But today no doubt that having a cryptocurrency accnt and has a coin in it was priceless to be considered.

I must put Gold ahead when comparing Crypto and Gold. Because there is no country in the world where Gold is not accepted but there are still many countries in the world where Crypto is not accepted. When the whole world is illuminated by the light of cryptocurrency, then crypto must surpass Gold.

Speculative value is quite high in case of crypto. And crypto seems great for short term investment and profit. But gold is always a good investment with stable value, sustained demand. Crypto is more risky and often pays higher rewards. But in future, crypto will be more valuable, in my opinion

For me Crypto can be important than gold is conceivable but exceedingly relative as well. What I implied isn't, all crypto will be more profitable than gold, they are exceptionally few and it begins from Bitcoin and few other altcoins those group are genuine and conscious of long run. Whereas those whose team as it were cares approximately fast benefit and their pockets won't go far nor indeed be working within the close future. So having that mentality, one has to use caution of the ventures to contribute in, on the off chance that you're future cognizant at that point adhere to reliable cryptocurrencies.
