Cryptocurrency is virtual value, but gold is material. Each of these assets carries its own importance and necessity. I don't understand why people are constantly trying to compare these two things with each other.

Now, in the wake of the worldwide cryptocurrency hype, many come to this industry. But gold will remain forever, and no one knows what will happen to digital currency. Currently, many coins are more valuable than gold, but are you sure that this will continue forever?

It is better to invest your money in several assets at once.
Yea I invested to many assets and diversify my portfolio but honestly investing to gold just never cross my mind, by holding gold you're either getting burdened to guard the gold you bought or just buy those certificate that you can't even see the gold you were supposed to own. Maybe stock, etc but gold although it always the value is stable but the price rise of gold only enough to fill the gap caused by fluctuation.

It depends on personal preferences. There are people who want security of their investments, and tangible assets are very important for them. Gold is one tangible asset that you can't go wrong. Crypto and gold for me should not be compared at all. Gold is a vital material in this world, not only for investments but other important uses like in electronics industry. How can you mine bitcoin if you don't have those expensive gadgets that are using gold as one of its important components. Computers, laptops or any other mining equipment need gold. So I don't think it is right to compare gold with crypto. Maybe in terms of price but the overall importance to humanity, I don't think it is right.

I have thought that one key advantage crypto (bitcoin, litecoin, Dash, monero etc.) has over gold is that its supply level is fixed and transparent, but can this or features make crypto more valuable than gold?

I remember reading a tweet days ago that statistically there are millions of gamers who will inevitably become adults and probably investors.
Their propensity to use digital assets such as cryptocurrencies compared to traditional financial instruments is not undoubted, so my answer is yes.
The new generations will embrace cryptocurrencies much more easily than the instruments of the past.

In my opinion crypto is on track to become more valuable than gold in this decade as its reputation as a store of value continues to grow. Bitcoin has reached its speed, so now, I have confidence that it will surpass gold in market cap for this decade

When viewed from a human perspective who views wealth as represented by an invisible item, surely the pile of gold will look very tantalizing than the numbers on a computer screen, but if we look at the market, the price of bitcoin is also tantalizing, both of them have their respective advantages

Tell me exactly how many gold investors these days even see their gold? I do know my own relatives in the past who used to buy actual physical gold but the rich people I know now from my generation born in the late 80s actually just even buy gold from accounts at banks. So they are buying already digital gold (just not realizing it is digital). With Bitcoin you can realize and own it for real.

When we are talking about supply itself as against the current amount, yes indeed crypto particularly bitcoin is far more valuable .  Gold as we mined over 100 of centuries ago still has infinite supply and not being consumed so gold cant be lessen as compare to only 21M of bitcoin in circulation. Of the 21 M others lose their private keys thus it cant be retrieved or not accessible.

So, let's say bitcoin outperforms gold, and then what? After a while, the price of bitcoin may again fall below the price of gold, then it will again rise above it. And gold will always have high price stability.
High technology is very vulnerable and cannot be completely relied on. Something will happen and they may disappear in an instant. I mean the same internet. They can create special weapons and all Internet satellites fall, and with them all electronics will fail. And gold will always remain gold.

It is for the reasons you mentioned that it makes virtual currency more valuable than gold. however, it should also be noted that gold and virtual currency have vast differences, but both have great value and value and are very suitable to be invested in.

I prefer gold much more than crypto. The difference is quite clear because fundamentally gold has existed for thousands of years until now. while crypto is still new and hasn't existed 100 years. crypto is fraught with speculation and could experience a fairly rapid decline at any time. in many countries gold has been accepted as an asset or an investment instrument. Indeed, currently the bitcoin market cap is quite large, but this investment risk also needs to be considered
But do you feel it is strange that your analysis is too easy and almost everyone can do that but why the majority here still believe in crypto more and refuse to participate in gold, even if participating in gold, the number is so few, they don't worry about risks or they don't understand crypto. Both of these reasons are definitely inaccurate because no one dares to invest in what they don't understand, they understand crypto and its profitability, they care more about the chance of riches, instead of a normal life with gold

I think the two would be very hard to compare. So far, gold is still leading over crypto regardless of how popular and relevant crypto is at the present time. People who say that crypto is more valuable than gold are not doing proper research, cause if they do, they wouldn't be biased with their opinion. We are always free to choose what we prefer more, what we know more, we do not really need to compare. If you think crypto is much more useful in creating profits for you, then stick to it. If you trust gold more, then keep on relying on it. Make your decisions based on your experience not on anybody's opinion.

I will never be able to mention how many people have seen the gold they have because I will never have access to know it, and this is only from my personal opinion, because actually comparing gold with crypto is very difficult, both of them have their place

When cryptocurrency started its journey through Bitcoin in 2009, no one even dreamed of comparing Bitcoin with Gold. And now we are debating whether Bitcoin or Gold is more valuable. The day is not far away when there will be no comparison between Bitcoin and Gold.

Crypto is the new hedge against inflation. Autonomous and Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs) will be a big market in the cryptocurrency space. Observe their growth over the past years. As time goes on, more and more centralized exchanges keep on going bankrupt or getting hacked. I support a certain DEX, Blocknet, promoting an interchain ecosystem which is very necessary to the future growth of decentralized finance and applications.

Gold is expensive not because of its maximum supply, but because of the difficulty of mining gold, it takes a long process to find one gram of gold, in contrast to bitcoin, which has a very limited supply, bitcoin in general depends on market demand, without it the price will decrease,
while gold prices tend to rise every year, the circulating gold supply is not much different from the increasing human population in the world.

while gold prices tend to rise every year, the circulating gold supply is not much different from the increasing human population in the world.

supported by the large number of goods that now use gold as raw material or just a mixture, while the supply of gold is not able to meet market needs, the price will increase, in 2020 Mish International Monetary Inc., dealers of precious metals and gold coins Menlo Park, California, which sells gold coins also said that customers are willing to pay an ounce of gold coins a price 7 percent higher than the spot price, or nearly $ 1,851 per troy ounce. Meanwhile, the spot price on Friday was closed at 1,729.60 US dollars per troy ounce. This also applies to crypto because the supply is limited, it will experience an increase in price if the increased market demand is not directly proportional to the existing supply.

Bitcoin and the other alt coins are somewhat on a continuous rise and definitely be a matter of time before it will surpass gold and be an asset much more valuable than gold. The price of gold also increased so it will be a healthy and interesting competition. Gold is considered very valuable and many countries are putting much pressure on regulating it but they do not have control on Cryptocurrencies and that alone is sufficient enough  to propel crypto to greater heights.

Gold has always been tempting and it has happened long before Bitcoin existed, so it is very common that all humans are always tempted when they see gold, but because currently technological developments and times are different, the numbers on computers can be tantalizing because they can also transformed into gold if one wishes.

Yes !! crypto will be more valuable than gold if you no longer need gold. and it is not possible with everyone. Therefore, as long as we still need gold and want crypto, it means that both of them are still valuable or valuable to us, both for investment and for property collections.

Gold is also in a state of flux. After reaching close to $2,000 per oz, the gold prices have crashed quite heavily. The exact reasons are unknown, but the most widely accepted theory is that a lot of people have sold their gold ornaments and coins to survive the difficult economic conditions during the pandemic period. If that is the case, then this bearish phase will not last for too long.
