Can Crypto be more valuable than gold?

I have thought that one key advantage crypto (bitcoin, litecoin, Dash, monero etc.) has over gold is that its supply level is fixed and transparent, but can this or features make crypto more valuable than gold?

for now and in the future crypto will be more valuable than gold because the profits that can be obtained through crypto are very large but have a high risk. but not everyone will believe that krypto is more valuable than gold because people who are not savvy with crypto will continue to invest using gold. Moreover, crypto has a higher risk than gold.

Ofcourse, in fact I think BTC is already more valuable than gold. Yes you are right some people may have a hard time accepting it due to lack of knowledge regarding crypto and being unaware about its utility. But I believe BTC will give gold a run for its money in the coming days, given BTC’s block chain technology and limited supply of 21 million coins.

At this point we will all have to admit that Bitcoin is showing useful values, I don't want to compare which is better than the other because it depends on each person's point of view. I've seen Bitcoin and altcoins have the ability to do that, it's only a matter of time because gold is used more for transactions then investments and after gold is replaced with fiat for payment transactions, we can see cryptocurrencies are more valuable because they have blockchain technology as you said, nothing which is impossible, some countries will make regulations about it and I think we will see a lot of stable coins with Bitcoin pairs in the future.

In my opinion, Gold is the ultimate currency of central banks and more transparance and safety than Bitcoin ( CMIIW )
Although Bitcoin has jumped multi-fold in the last few months, it is likely to continue appreciating in US dollar terms over the coming years.
Maybe, Bitcoin's market cap will surpass gold's market cap by 2030. But, both gold and cryptocurrency have their own merits and demerits. It all depends on the sole discretion of where you wants to invest. That's my opinion though, cheers!

For me Cryptocurrency has a bright future, there are still a lot of people who don't have an idea in cryptocurrency so for sure in the future once all of the people are now being involved in cryptocurrency and there would be a lot of schools and organizations that will help cryptocurrency known by many people then cryptocurrency would be valuable than gold. We are still new compared to gold but we can now see the value of it in terms of investment compared to gold. What more in the future, if I were going to choose between crypto and gold, I will still choose to invest in crypto, the higher the risk the higher the reward.

I think that cryptocurrencies are still a very risky investment, gold is more reliable, time-tested investment. Although you need to use both bitcoin and gold for investing, both will bring profit, some more, some less, time will tell, but the most important thing is that both directions will generate income and will be able to protect your investments from inflation well.

In terms of price per unit, crypto is already more valuable than Gold. Consider how Bitcoin is worth around $48k at the time of this writing, while Gold just costs $1.8k per ounce. In terms of market cap, that's another story. The total market capitalization of crypto is much smaller than Gold. Crypto has a $2T market cap, while Gold has $11T. It's getting closer, but still has a long way to go. It's expected crypto will surpass Gold in the future as adoption continues to grow at an unprecedented rate. We should give crypto some time to mature since it's just starting to blossom. Gold has been around the scene for a very long time, so investors trust it more than anything else.

Scarcity and demand is what ultimately determines an asset's value. Most cryptocurrencies have demand, but only a few are scarce. Coins like Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dash have a high probability of increasing in price over time than others. What matters is not the price but how useful crypto is. As long as crypto is useful, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts

There is no rule written in stone that Bitcoin can't be more valuable that gold. Already there are several assets, which are more valuable when compared to gold. For example, the stocks in NYSE are having a combined valuation of around $30 trillion, which is almost three times the market cap of gold. Bitcoin is just 12 years old (compared to gold, which has been in use for 5,000+ years). In another decade or so, I expect Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general to reach the same level as any other mainstream investment asset.

If a painting can be more valuable than gold then I think it is possible for crypto to be more valuable than gold also. But of course gold is very valuable right now in the beauty industry or jewelry, economics, and also in electronics. Crypto on the other hand is not tangible so its only use is definitely suited on the digital realm. Crypto is still new and not widely known, many countries are afraid to legalize crypto because crypto is decentralized, of course it will be a problem if price fluctuations are like a roller coaster. while gold is the oldest investment that has been accepted thousands of years ago, I believe gold will always be accepted by anyone and at any time.

Absolutely, why? Because there are crypto projects that can disrupt the old system that is currently being used by many. I just heard a real state project based on blockchain would very much disrupt the real industry soon. Another project I saw was a social media site dedicated for NFT's, it's like Instagram for NFT. If NFT would continue growing, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets more users than IG and Twitter in the future.
