Chelsea is indeed playing well tonight and almost 45 minutes into the match and Manchester City have not been able to break Chelsea's defence to score any goal is, I think the first half of this match will be a first-half goalless draw but the second half of the match is going to be an exciting time since one of the both clubs most definitely make a goal point but I think there is not going to be much goal scores in the match.
But if the 90 minutes could end in a draw that means Chelsea is on its way to becoming a strong club in the premier league.

well, Several times the opportunity was obtained by Chelsea. and actually a few games after the break this season we saw a lot of surprising match results. i.e. the team that has more possession of the ball but does not get many opportunities tends to lose. and conversely, the team that doesn't have much possession of the ball but is always able to make an effective counter-attack is the one that actually has a chance to win. in the premier league we see a lot of games like that after the break this season. The team that has more possession of the ball loses. But I hope Manchester City can strengthen their defense. because in the first half Manchester city focused more on the attack line. and the back line has several gaps.

Looking at the way the game went in the second half, it's true that Manchester City wants to make a difference now because it's only been 10 minutes since the second half started. They have created several opportunities, but this is something they have to do, especially with the condition that they need 3 points. They have to score at least 1 goal in this match to make a real difference.

I don't know if it's just me or maybe everyone feels it, but the match in the first round was actually quite monotonous and a little boring for a big match.
This match has minimal chances, I don't think there is any caution going on or if this is part of the strategy of the two teams. But if the second half is still like this, of course this is a little detrimental for Manchester City because their target is still to get 3 points.

I'm not sure who will win this game, but Manchester City looks like they will come out victorious. Manchester City are really expecting 3 points today considering they have to continue to approach Arsenal, which in the previous match failed to get maximum points. But as far as the match goes, but I have doubts about a draw and I tend to think City will complete their 3-point quest today.

I'm still waiting for that goal to come, but I'm not going to discount Chelsea's ability to get 3 points at home. Chelsea have been underwhelming this season right up until the sacking of their coach and being replaced by someone else, but they haven't been too good in their last few match either.

I see some people who are saying that Manchester City dominated the first half. But there was no such thing truthfully.

Chelsea were beyond the expectations and they were a big threat to their opponent during the first half. There was even a shot hit the goal post and it was a really big goal opportunity for Chelsea. Chelsea were quite good at defending so far also. In the second half, Manchester City need to improve their performance much more. There isn't a weak Chelsea in front of them now. They need to have the full control of the match somehow otherwise another point loss might be at their door.  

But at least Manchester city has managed to score one goal some minutes into the second half,  but even at that, there is a high possibility of Chelsea equalizing the goal.

Why many speculators are pointing to Manchester city winning tonight is due to their past performance and records,  but things have really changed lately and this season has been full of surprises.

Not so happy that Chelsea were unable to score, but still happy that they are holding Manchester city goalless ruining their plan to close the gap they have with Arsenal. Haaland also had a good chance but the finishing was not up to the standard we know he can give. Manchester city will definitely play better in the second half because Pep is a tactical genius and must have seen their shortcomings in the first half and made changes. Chelsea should at least do their home crowd, supporters and Arsenal supporters too to either Hold Manchester City or just go for the win.

But Mahrez has ruined Chelsea's current plans. Riyad Mahrez managed to take advantage of Grealish's pass after a few minutes of being played by his coach. So Manchester City are currently 0-1 ahead of Chelsea, but it looks like there will be another goal for the rest of the match.

Haaland hasn't scored yet, but it was close. I think he will, and he just needs a good pass to find the net. At least Haaland has had a few chances so far, but he's yet to find the net.

I feel the same way, Manchester City will be able to come out victorious, these two teams are both aiming for 3 points, but looking at the games played by Manchester City, I think they are more superior to be winners. Pep Guardiola has pulled 4 players so far to support their side of the game. Mahrez comes in. I think he'll be able to make the game more aggressive. some of the attacks they built were still broken by the Chelsea players in this second half. 20 minutes of normal time left, I think Graham lowered his game scheme more defensively to keep this match with the final result being a draw.

the match between chelsea and manchester city was quite tough, the two teams had the same difficulty scoring goals, several attempts were made by both teams but have not succeeded in breaking the deadlock so far. I think this match will end goalless, but there is still time and I hope one of the teams can score goals and come out victorious in this match.

Chelsea have been impressive so far in the first half, they are controlling the game well and so far Manchester city have not had much of the ball. Chelsea are dominating and controlling the game so well. I expected better performance from Manchester city after Arsenal drew against Newcastle but so far I'm not so impressed with City's performance tonight. This match was really difficult, but Manchester city dominated this match well. I believe Manchester City will secure those 3 points from Chelsea today even though the match isn't over yet. If Manchester City can't score anymore goals, then they have to defend well from Chelsea's pressure. I prefer Manchester City not to play defensively, it's not the game I expect.

Manchester City is leading but Chelsea makes many balls winning.  In the first half, many balls were won by the midfielders but when delivered to the attackers they find it difficult to utilize it meaning that there needed a good finisher.  Even in this second half, Chelsea isn't playing badly. But My main problem is the substitution Porter just made, Has he thought of the consequences of bringing in inexperienced players in a match like this?

I don't believe Chelsea will be able to hold Manchester city for this long, I was expecting goal from Manchester city right from the first half, Chelsea is playing more of a defensive game, which Manchester city haven't being able to break, Chelsea's performance in the first half is not really bad, if they can countinue like this, it will be very difficult for Manchester city to score them, seriously the second half of the match will be very tough and interesting, I just hope the match won't end as draw from the way the two clubs are playing.

The final result is 0-1 in which Man City won the match. I was actually a bit surprised that Man City was quite struggling to penetrate Chelsea's back line. Chelsea seems to be playing defensively and maybe their target is at least a draw. But the end result was that they lost to Man City. As expected that Man City will win. But I think they will score more than 1 goal. But seeing how Chelsea tried to withstand Man City's attack, this should be appreciated even though they lost in the end. This time, Chelsea have not been able to add any more points and playing conditions have worsened.

The match was over, and in the end manchester city managed to secure 3 points today. They did well the whole game, but Chelsea are the same. It's just that Chelsea failed to capitalize on some good chances to score, it's looking bad for them who have only won 7 games out of 17 so far. Somehow in the end, Chelsea still have to get up and try their best because they are one of the teams that are expected to be able to compete at the top.

Today Sterling and Pulisic had problems, they looked like they had to go off injured and couldn't continue. Really it was a loss for Chelsea but the substitutes were impressive.

Chelsea lost the game because from all indications they are not going to score again as the time is almost over and the final whistle will be blown. The scoreline is 0:1 in favour of Manchester City and with the defeat, Chelsea will be in the 10th position their coach will face the risk of being sacked from the club because things are not getting better since his arrival as the new Chelsea boss.

Big congratulations to City and Riyad Mahrez for helping his team to defeat Chelsea tonight keeping their title hope alive because they are still chasing Arsenal even as they are 5 points behind them after this win.

Mahrez's 1 goal made it an important win for Manchester City in this match. They pressed in the second half and I think it was a deserved win. on the other hand I'm also quite happy because the odds of 7.0 for my Manchester City win were not wasted and will be one of my biggest wins for 2023

You're right, finally Manchester City scored the first goal Riyad mahrez came on as a substitute in the 60th minute and he scored 3 minutes later he is really lucky
Finally Manchester City is getting closer to Arsenal only 5 points difference meaning Man city needs 2 more wins and hopes Arsenal lose 2 matches  
BTW Manchester City still have 2 important games ahead, against Manchester United in mid month then against Tottenham on 20 january both are important matches. Obviously January will drain their stamina because almost all important matches are played this month if Man City can get through then they still have a chance for the title.

I didn't beleive Chelsea had what it takes to win or even equalise Manchester city. Chelsea is a good team for sure but at this point in the EPL, they are not such a good team and teams like Manchester City could actually hope to meet them, play against them and win like they did today. A good time for them to win as well, following the Arsenal draw against Newcastle United from the day before. Where the more competition would be at in the league now is between Newcastle United, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Perhaps its more about Manchester United and Newcastle United than it would be for Spurs but, I hope they pick up the pace soon.

Well actually they had what it takes to win. First of all, it was a home game so Chelsea definitely have some advantage here and aside from that Chelsea actually created decent chances of goal scoring opportunity against Manchester City which is one the favourite to win the league. They lack of the execution to score goals but I was kinda expecting Manchester City to have it way easier against Chelsea but it turned out the a good match between these two

Finally Manchester City were able to get three points from Chelsea and 1 goal was created by Riyad Mahrez in the 63rd minute a pass from Jack Grealish from the left, I think this is a lucky goal for Manchester City and a mistake at the bottom for Chelsea.
because I saw Chelsea playing quite well especially in the middle of the second half and Chelsea kept trying to score goals to equalize and also played very well but Manchester City's defense was very good making it difficult for Chelsea to score goals.

What a match it was! Chelsea is unlucky today. They had the most chances but couldn't convert them into goals. They look sharp on the field and what they show us is classic English football but lucky for Man City. Though I am a Man City fan, I feel bad for Chelsea and their fans. Manchester City just managed to score one goal from a cross, and Mahrez put the ball into the back of the net.

City played their usual game but after halftime City managed to attack Chelsea more often, they try to control the ball and attack. So city gets the full three points from this match and reduces the distance from Arsenal. 8 point less from Arsenal with one less game played, they just need to maintain that distance and hope Arsenal draw a couple of games more  .
