I'm wondering if this Chelsea team that won against Brighton tonight is the same Chelsea that lost against Aston Villa in their last Premier League game. Initially, I was not expecting them to win this game but they managed to win, I hope this victory awakens their winning spirit and I hope to see them further extend the winning to the premier league and to enable them step up in the table.

It was a surprised to we the Chelsea fans because we were expecting Brighton to win as other fans were expecting but judging based on the game, Chelsea deserve the win they got. We didn't start our best men just as Brighton didn't start their but the atmosphere is different since it isn't the premier league so maybe that's why Brighton didn't go home with the victory. I just hope the boys can get some motivation from this victory and win their next game in the Premier league. Sadly Nicholas Jackson won't be available for the next premier league game due to suspension but Broja is back from injury and he'll be starting and from the few minutes he was on the pitch, he's looking promising, our next match against Fulham should be a win as well considering players like mudrky has begun to see more starting call up and he isn't disappointing with his display.

A win is a win but i would say Brighton actually fielded in a weaker starting line than their usual line up, Chelsea also changed there to formation with the likes of Enzo missing out. But definitely a great win for Chelsea, if it was before this competition looks more like just a cup match to Chelsea but with the state of the team i would say they needed this win and if possible should build on it more and plan on scooping this competition home.

We needed this break because it was looking like nothing is working for us and that can be very frustrating. Cucurella was decent and so were other player especially C. Palmer and I'll love him to be given more strating role by Pochettino. He was the reason Jackson got the first goal and also played a part in the disallowed goal. He was playing the playmaker role very well and the whole game yesterday was interesting to watch. It was the first time I watched Chelsea game in like forever and was satisfied with everybody. The goalkeep also put on his best performance with the saves he made although he cause alot of discomfort to the defense with his mistakes but he still made up for them by saving the ball. It was a great game after all and onto the Fulham game we wait on Monday.

Brighton clearly wasn't as aggressive in this match as usual, and I'm still sure that if Chelsea played Brighton again in the Premier League the result would be different. The truth is, Havartz doesn't seem to be in form and I am just wondering why Mickel Arteta is confident in putting him on every game that the club plays, even as subs. I guess it is because he wants to continue to give him the chance to prove himself, yet, Havartz isn't living up to promise.

If they should meet Brighton in a premier league game they are most likely not to win maybe a draw because Brighton will definitely play differently as it an entirely different ball game and league all together, Brighton tried in the game against Chelsea yesterday but then it wasn't good enough for them to secure the win in the game.

Excluding the premier league, Brighton have been bad in every other competition that they have played, the Europa and now the Carabao. Brighton very good chances to score, two gifted to them by the Chelsea goalkeeper, but Brighton still could not take the lead until Jackson's goal. Had Brighton scored first, Chelsea would have been unable to equalize. It was a good result for Chelsea, but they still need to win their next premier league game, this is the competition were they have made their supporters the most frustrating with their position on the table still looking like they will be going down more.

We needed this break because it was looking like nothing is working for us and that can be very frustrating. Cucurella was decent and so were other player especially C. Palmer and I'll love him to be given more strating role by Pochettino. He was the reason Jackson got the first goal and also played a part in the disallowed goal. He was playing the playmaker role very well and the whole game yesterday was interesting to watch. It was the first time I watched Chelsea game in like forever and was satisfied with everybody. The goalkeep also put on his best performance with the saves he made although he cause alot of discomfort to the defense with his mistakes but he still made up for them by saving the ball. It was a great game after all and onto the Fulham game we wait on Monday.

It’s definitely a big relief to Chelsea fans and most importantly to the manager because this ease the tension around him been relieve of his duties and also this team he set out yesterday should give him insight that some of the players lacking game time really need to play more. A clear example is Cole Palmer you mention, he was instrumental at that attacking midfield role but this wasn’t the game I caught a glimpse about him. His debut during the loss to Nottingham were he was brought into that position made think he could actually fit in there. I was surprised that Poch hasn’t started him in that role in the league yet with probably a pivot of Enzo and Caicedo, that would seem like a good midfield to me but Poch isn’t just giving in yet.

The Issue with keepers that play with their foot like Sanchez is that it sometimes unbearable to watch because you feel they would make a mistake which is not inevitable. The risk of conceding cheap goals from this kind of play is problem it has, but the play brings balance and confidence into your team and it gives the team an added advantage. Most modern coaches have grown accustomed to this play but you need to perfect it and that also depends on the nature of defenders the team has. A defender who is not confident on the ball might be a problem in set up like this. Also the goalkeeper must have to back his balling ability with a better shot stopping reflexes if not the whole thing will just be a waste of everyone’s time.
