I thought this was just a lucky win for Chelsea because several times Brighton players actually had the chance to score but were thwarted by Robert Sanchez and after that in the second half Chelsea managed to score goal with pride.
Imagine that there 4 opportunities that I counted for Brighton to score goal and if all the opportunities can produce goal, I think Chelsea will lose badly against Brighton with a score of 4 which they failed to use well and I see Pochettino very proud of yesterday match even though it was luck that can be thwarted by the Chelsea goalkeeper.

Chelsea's win yesterday was a needed win in order to keep the heads of Chelsea up above the water. If they had lost yesterday's match, their moral would have been very down and their confidence level reduced. In as much as we are expecting Pochettino to master the Chelsea system and start doing well, having consecutive losses would do more harm than good to both Chelsea as a club, the coach and the players.

Chelsea won against big teams like Brighton. Chelsea secured a narrow 1-0 win. Even though Chelsea won this match, I don't think their performance improved much. Chelsea's performance is still quite weak. Even in this match, Chelsea could not dominate the match. However, a win against Brighton will probably boost the confidence of the Chelsea players. If the players are confident then maybe we will see better performances from Chelsea players in the coming matches. However, the bond between Chelsea players is not strong. This is the reason why despite having a lot of talented players in the team, their performance is poor. It will be challenging for Chelsea to get full points in the away match against Fulham.

It was just a match in the EFL Cup and of course, even though Chelsea managed to win in the match it does not guarantee that Chelsea can get good results in the Premier League too. Yes, Pochettino hot seat as Chelsea manager cooled down a bit, after the victory over Brighton in the Carabao Cup competition yesterday. It's really going to be difficult for Chelsea to win all their upcoming matches looking at the teams they are going to face and their present performance since the season but talking about Chelsea needing a Messiah, I think they have got all the players needed to improve their performance what they need is to work on the players, encourage them to put in their best to work and give them a goal in every game they play which should be winning and nothing else. The poor performance of the players alone has affected the team and clubs are no longer afraid to play Chelsea because they no longer see them as big teams even with the number of players they have got so them coach needs to go back to the drawing board and teach the boys the right tactics and formations they need in every game.

Chelsea can still bounce back this season after their poor performance in six games in the English Premier League all they need right now is the motivation and an excellent finisher that will be hungry to get the goals because they find it difficult to score goals even when they are playing well, they can't be relegated if they improve in performance but if they kept losing games till the middle of the season then it's going to be really bad for the club and the players.

I agree, a win is surely going to give them good confident for the future as they were not good in their last few games but now win against Brighton is surely good with mostly match was controlled by Brighton, but they were not able to score any goal and Chelsea having a goal in second half which give them most wanted win for the change of fortune one more than is also right as players having not good bound for the win which is needed in big games.

Chelsea should be taking a look at what is going wrong as well as United too. I get that those two teams are having a bad time but they should realize that acting quickly and doing wrong things will not be the one that will get you better. They both have good managers, firing the manager right away because of bad results will not solve anything at all.

The issue between Sancho and Erik ten Hag is some how getting out of hand because I don't understand why a manager would let this happen up till this very moment. The player in question said he trains very well and the manager is saying otherwise and from what have seen, is like the manager doesn't like the player Sancho and is like Erik ten Hag prefer Antony to Sancho.
