I’m pretty sure a lot of people had a lot of confidence in Onana when he was brought in to Manchester United. I mean, who wouldn’t? He did an amazing job over at Inter Milan, he just had to be brought in.
I remember watching the game and seeing him sitting so dejected, I felt sorry for him. He probably didn’t think he would have conceded as much goals as he has done in his time at Manchester United.
He’s most likely under some pressure to get better but he can only do so much considering the defense isn’t entirely free of any fault.

I feel so bad for him, he is good goalkeeper and we all saw what he did in Inter Milan last season and i was even more surprised when I watched the champions league final, he played excellently and with his confidence i knew he was too good for the club and other teams will seek for his services. His move to Manchester United was a good move for him but I think probably the overall team performance has affected him and made him lose so much confidence. These things happen alot and it is same thing happening to Mudryk in Chelsea, they are good players that have lost their confidence due to one or two reasons. I hope they regain back their confidence and redeem themself.

I do not think that Onana's case is as worse as described here. We all know the capabilities of Onana and we have watched him play for Inter Milan excellently, so I do not believe that he should lose form so easily as he arrived Manchester United. The problem which would seem to be his personal problem is rather in the team's problem. Manchester United for the past five seasons has not been what they used to be. When their new coach, Eric came last season, he did his best but it is quite unfortunate that he could not continue from the last season glory. I bet you that if Manchester United return to good form their goalkeeper will become the best he used to be.

I don't see any case against Onana because he was signed on as first choice goalie because of his potential and performance at inter Milan and he sure looks the part. What I know could be the issue affecting his current display for his new club could be that of getting used to the style of play and players themselves. Perhaps he is still trying to understand how fast the English league is and with less brutal tackles from defenders as one would think happens at inter Milan.
Let's give him some time, he would come around and prove why he is the best that has been signed yet and a worthy successor of De Gea.

Manchester United have already been rewarded for their decision not to extend De Gea's contract and regrets will now be useless because once a decision has been made it is impossible to change it.
Now Manchester United must realise the mistakes they made not only for the players but for the coaching staff and officials and the main focus now is to restore the performance of several under-performing players, one of which is Onana. They have to find a way how Onana can be better under the Manchester United bar on the other hand for Onana also he must try hard now because apologising and admitting that he is bad enough now will not be the answer.

Even though I am disappointed with Manchester United management's decision towards De Gea, it may not have been the best decision for both parties. De Gea isn't too bad to stay a few more seasons at Manchester United, but perhaps things didn't come to an agreement in his new contract so the decision not to extend the contract has to be accepted.

Meanwhile, I am happy with Onana's performance even though in the last match he conceded 4 goals. Manchester United didn't have a great defense that night and they should be embarrassed by the team's poor performance throughout the match. If only Casemiro didn't score 2 goals, then of course Manchester United would be left with too much of a goal deficit from Bayern Munich.

De Gea and Manchester United did not reach an agreement before his contract ended with Manchester United. Because Manchester United took a stance to reduce De Gea salary in the contract extension proposal so De Gea was reluctant to agree. 12 years is not a short time, but Manchester United really does not appreciate the magnitude of his services. There are even rumors circulating that Manchester United wants to send De Gea home, I think he is quite disappointed with Manchester United management's decision. But we'll see what his decision is, whether he will return to Manchester United or not.

Why do you admire Onana in that match, he conceded 4 goals in that match, even if Manchester United defense was quite bad, maybe if Onana was able to perform well he could block a lot of shots like Pope did when Newcastle United played AC Milan. I think Onana performance dropped drastically after he left Inter Milan. However it's true Inter have many high quality defenders, while Manchester United's defenders are really weak. It can be the defender, but it can be the goalkeeper or both of them. It's not an easy decision for Ten Hag to search for new defenders or new goalkeeper.

Yes, the problem is not only about Onana because of course, at least there might not be a good fit or chemistry between the goalkeeper and their defender. Because after all, basically the goalkeeper will also have a good performance if their defender can work even better. Thus, Manchester United goalkeepers and defenders basically have serious problems that must be quickly resolved. Because if Erik ten Hag does not overcome these problems quickly, it is very possible for Manchester United to experience a situation that may be very bad and chaotic this season.

Im being so skeptical if MU will able to solve its problem asap. It is caused by manchester united does not have a good line up of defensive lines. Ten hag has no good choice to fill up the defensive lines at this moment. He can only use the available players to fill it.

Onana played good in Ajax Amsterdam then Inter Milan but he does not have good stats like De Gea. Onana only has one skill that is better than De Gea, passing but let's think. Is passing more important skill with a goalkeeper than saving?

Maybe Ten Hag see different things and accept Onana will make less savings than De Gea but can help Manchester United to pass the ball better from the lowest position on field, goalkeeper. He is right about that strength of Onana but at the same time he has to sacrifice more good savings to protect Manchester United goal and accept to see more conceded goals for his team.

Onana is not a bad goalkeeper but to conclude he is better than De Gea in general, I disagree.

Talking about Manchester United and Burnley, I think Manchester United should use this match to enforce the team and bring back the confidence. It is unfair to judge capability of a goalkeeper only by total conceded goals but I agree that it is a bad statistics for Onana. It comes from many factors, firstly from himself with not too good ability to save shots from opponents and second from bad defensive system of Manchester United.

They play as a team and their team must cooperate with each other to improve defense from proactively pressing at the front line to midfield and lastly their defenders around the box to reduce dangerous shots from opponents. They can not open their box, leave opponents freely to shot and hope Onana will keep a clean sheet.

I know, the match will not going to be easy for Manchester city to win easily from the starting but there is a new tactics Manchester city are using in this season that is giving people joy over their prediction, because they know how to use second half to defeat their opponent which they will definitely use that tactics to defeat Nottingham forest 3-1 to achieve the three points from the match. That's right, for Manchester City there is no need to doubt it. Our attention is focused on Manchester United, Burnley have never won a single match the only thing that motivates them is playing at home I don't understand why the bookies are giving good odds on Burley. The handicap for this match is Manchester United -0.75 meaning that Man United is predicted to only win by a difference one goal. on the other hand, Burnley is predicted to be able to score goals like when they played against Tottenham.

Onana is good but De gea is classic with a lot of experience than Onana. Where De gea was lacking was in having the confidence to create passes with his players stead of always shooting the ball away back to opponent ground dispossessing his team and that's not the kind of goalkeeping style Ten Hag wants that's why Onana has to replace De gea from Ajax.

I think Onana needs to be giving more time to work on his mistakes and that's what ten hag is doing, only that as time goes on his mistakes is causing the team some drawbacks with match results, even in those matches they could win they have to fight for a draw. because Onana couldn't save but  concede a shot that most goalkeepers could have  to saved.
