I haven't thought of any scenarios to judge how Manchester City can win the home game against Liverpool. If Liverpool should hold up to Manchester City in a draw match at Etihad they really ought to thank the god of soccer for that because Manchester City would play with their full strength to make sure they have the 3 points at the end of the match.
