It was disappointing that chelsea could not create goals with the dominance of the match which in my opinion deserved to get a lot of goals in that match, unfortunately chelsea did not have a striker who could produce goals that night.

To be honest, if traced properly, they have players who are quite capable, and with the quantity of players that can be relied on but unfortunately they do not have a strategy that can really penetrate the middlesbrough defense.
But we also need to remember that Chelsea indeed when against strong teams they will also strengthen but when against teams below them, sometimes they play with poor performances, but maybe the second round they can get a victory and avenge the annoyance they get for the embarrassing 1-0 defeat.

I don't pick them to win and I don't their rival to win because I don't know them again. The last time I check their standing on the table was the same early December and I check and then they remain where I left them, 8 win 8 loss and 4 draw, damn Todd Boehly is a calm man. If I'm the owner, my hot temper would have sent him a sack letter to live my fucking club for his incompetent.

How can you have 70 ball possession and can't make a simple chance, all their shot on target were useless and conversion was poor. Been in Premier League is a privilege and hardwork, when a team of Premier League has a match from another team from other leagues, it shouldn't be ground breaking thing to do, more like a soft work but Chelsea made it look like impossible miracle. Maybe the next time they start having less fans coming to watch the team matches, the owner will become proactive person.

Yes, that's how Chelsea are now, they even struggle to get a win when dealing with opponents weaker than them. Nothing can be expected from them as long as they still show something promising like they are currently experiencing. Things are more complicated now, they are not showing any improvement in their performance. I'm not sure they will be champions, especially when their potential opponents are Liverpool who we know what they are like this season. Although the composition of the players is actually not much different, but from other things they are far behind Liverpool. In the game for example, Liverpool have a very promising game, in the Premier League itself they now occupy the first position, in the Europa League they are sovereign as favorites to become champions there.

I think coach Mauricio Pochettino has been given sufficient time to improve the team but it seems he is not showing any sign of stepping up the game of the club. He has been given all the players he wanted, yet they are finding it difficult to win even lower-class teams. Everybody knows the problem of Chelsea, which is the lack of a striker that can utilise the chances they create. We were hoping that Christopher Nkunku would improve the attack of the club but he has not shown that he could revive the Chelsea attack. Liverpool has a good coach that is technically sound and he has shown that he can change the fortune of Liverpool. The club had a bad season last season but look at what he has done to the club this season without even buying so many players. Chelsea still has the opportunity to make it to the finals if they can upturn the deficit in Stamford Bridge. It will not be also bad for Middlesbrough to make it to the finals and at least win a trophy for their loyal fans.   

I won't say he failed, but he couldn't use the time he had to improve this team well, and this could have led to his dismissal. How many times have they changed coaches, and they can't show changes that bring hope to their supporters. I think they are starting to miss Thomas Tuchel at the moment, because he was sacked when Chelsea was declining, but he wasn't given many opportunities, it was a hasty decision and it seems like there was another reason behind his sacking at that time. The reason is that now he is doing well with Bayern Munich. If only they had not made hasty decisions at that time, maybe Chelsea would not look like it does now. From the point of view of things, Chelsea just downgraded Middlesbrough because, from the beginning of the match, Chelsea were playing the game like they were playing a game with small children. Since they see they have an advantage over Middlesbrough, even though Middlesbrough are from the lower league, Chelsea downgraded them too much, which made Middlesbrough use that opportunity and score. There is a possibility that in the second round Chelsea can turn things around and beat Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge, in my opinion a one goal deficit is not too difficult for a club as big as Chelsea. Of course, to be able to turn things around, Pochettino must be able to make his fleet stop "joking around", there are no acceptable excuses for losing to a 2nd division club. Pochettino must apply different standards to his players, Players must realize that mistakes are bad luck, there are many opportunities that fail to be converted into goals. If this is not resolved, the crisis of trust in the team will decrease drastically in the future.

Pochettino is the person most responsible for the results, now many fans are asking him to resign as head coach, and I think if Abramovich was still in charge of the club, Pochettino would have been fired last year. Everything is pointing towards setbacks, there is very little we can be proud of about Chelsea this season. Their performance has been a roller coaster, so betting on their win would be a disaster.

Not appearing in European competitions does not change anything, in the sense that he can't be used to compete in the title race, a fact that makes the fans reaction very disappointed. This will be a difficult match for both but Tottenham although not the favored team will have a chance to get a point, their obstacle may be that Son has to defend his country in the Asian Cup so he will not play even though he is quite the foundation of Tottenham so far, so there may be weaknesses in their appearance later.

The new owners would be around to measure and watch Manchester United for the first time since he was handed the percentage of the club he bought completely.

After the win against Wigan, only a few impressed though, but Tottenham Hotspur should've also some of them key members absent. I see they're not interested in getting new set of players, they just want thee manager to handle the squad until the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur have finally completed the switch for that defender and Timo Werner, they're desperate to finish top four. It also shows Eric Dier would be definitely leaving soon.

For me, I think this should be one of the best seasons for them - Mahrez was actually a junk player in there since he was barely given enough playtime..Maybe for the fact that he's African? Guardiola knows best... But I think having Alvarez and Grealish both paired would improve the effectiveness on the flanks.. it all depends on the formation though - a standard 4-3-3 formation would also link them both, allowing debryune and halland to communicate directly.

You're kidding yourself if you say Mahrez is junk and not given much time by Pep because it's a ridiculous statement.
He is one of the playmakers who is very stable at Manchester City especially his position can be anywhere because he has a fairly good level of flexibility so that when used as an attacking midfielder or even as a winger he can still perform very well in Manchester City's attack line.

I am curious to see how much the new owners can do about this. I know that the former owners sometimes came across as if they were not interested in the fate of Manchester United anymore. I know it doesn't make sense as this would also push the value of the club lower and that can't be in their own interest, but I think if there is no passion anymore from the club owners to be seen, it is time for a huge change and we got that change now.

But still there have been important changes now and whatever the plan is that Manchester United has, the competitive field in the Premier League isn't sleeping. To become one of the champions in the EPL again it will be a hard way they need to pass for this goal.

Chelsea's first leg match was very disappointing even though their opponents were a weak team, even in the Championship, Middlesbrough was ranked 12th in the standings. Chelsea team is just going up and down and just remaining comfortable being at mid of the league. They’re not even an option one should have the guts to play a bet on because their matches are always unpredictable. The owner being calm, I think because he’s got zero knowledge and passion for football. The match against Middlesbrough was one that was too frustrating too watch.

 Why posses the ball so much yet create no clear chance at goal and you’re playing against a team in the lower division. For Crying out loud, you’re bigger and better than this team so why make it look as if you’re dragging with them. This should be a clear victory for you. I think the fans are only keeping cool because they win some and loose some, but that's football for you, if you don't work very hard enough to improve you'll either drop or remain stagnant.

I don’t think Pochettino has the talent to solve Chelsea problems because if he were able to do that, he would have already done that. He has spent time sometimes managing the squad and has yet to see any improvement from them. Chelsea have bought so many players; they have spent a lot of money on players, and there is no improvement. However, I think for us to know how good Chelsea is, we should wait maybe and see if they will change manager, and then we may see who is at fault, whether the players or the coach. but seriously, Chelsea's form is poor. However, I think it is disappointing for them to lose that match they play, even if they had chances to win and they didn't. The result matters.

Everything requires a long process and time, it is not easy to build a team like Chelsea which has fallen so badly that changes in management and almost all the players mean that everything has to start from scratch.
Pochettino is a coach who has good qualities and he has proven it when he managed several teams before managing the Chelsea team, so in my opinion we should trust Pochettino and believe in the process that Pochettino will create to make Chelsea return to what it was before.

If you still believe in Pochettino, but I will say that I don't believe that Pochettino is able to bring Chelsea to higher achievements, whereas Pochettino has wasted too much money to get new players, but in reality, Chelsea hasn't made any changes and isn't that just a waste?
A change of management might be one of the best ways to bring about this change, but as you said, this all requires a long process and for the time being it is better for Chelsea to start getting a more experienced coach or getting players who have great skills.
In fact, there is a lot of evidence that Pochettino will actually fail to bring Chelsea to improved performance and I cannot guarantee that at the end of the season Chelsea will get satisfactory results, in fact they will only get the same results as last season and Pochettino will definitely be fired.
What Chelsea management needs is now before things get worse to find coach who really understands Chelsea and after that maintains few seasons to bring big changes.

Playing at home against Fulham of course, is a good chance for Chelsea to get three points in this home match. Although indeed, Chelsea and Fulham only have a gap of 4 points in the Premier League standings now, but that does not mean Fulham are able to beat Chelsea . That's true, because Pochettino has to wait for his players to grow and develop first, because we know that the Chelsea squad is currently filled with mostly young players who lack flying experience. If you look at the price of Chelsea squad, this season they should be one of the most serious title challenging clubs, but we are reminded again that sometimes money doesn't guarantee instant success. As an elite club in the EPL, losing to Middlesbrough is a big disgrace, the negative spotlight and pressure on Pochettino is now increasing.

It is very likely that Chelsea this season will not be better than the previous season, I think Pochettino squad will again fail to appear in the Champions League next season. On the other hand, Chelsea management and club officials seem to have warned Pochettino performance, if he continues to experience setbacks and creates disgrace for the club he could be fired in the near future. People still gets disappointed from Chelsea performance, I have remove them since first week of December from my favorite teams for gambling. I don't pick them to win and I don't their rival to win because I don't know them again. The last time I check their standing on the table was the same early December and I check and then they remain where I left them, 8 win 8 loss and 4 draw, damn Todd Boehly is a calm man. If I'm the owner, my hot temper would have sent him a sack letter to live my fucking club for his incompetent.

How can you have 70 ball possession and can't make a simple chance, all their shot on target were useless and conversion was poor. Been in Premier League is a privilege and hardwork, when a team of Premier League has a match from another team from other leagues, it shouldn't be ground breaking thing to do, more like a soft work but Chelsea made it look like impossible miracle. Maybe the next time they start having less fans coming to watch the team matches, the owner will become proactive person.

Chelsea team is just going up and down and just remaining comfortable being at mid of the league. They’re not even an option one should have the guts to play a bet on because their matches are always unpredictable. The owner being calm, I think because he’s got zero knowledge and passion for football. The match against Middlesbrough was one that was too frustrating too watch.

 Why posses the ball so much yet create no clear chance at goal and you’re playing against a team in the lower division. For Crying out loud, you’re bigger and better than this team so why make it look as if you’re dragging with them. This should be a clear victory for you. I think the fans are only keeping cool because they win some and loose some, but that's football for you, if you don't work very hard enough to improve you'll either drop or remain stagnant.

You can't really tell what this team will do next cause seeing the way they have been performing and yesterday they could not even win Middlesbrough sounds funny, the fans will not wake up from this blindness and admit the team really needs change and seeing them hoping for a second leg amazes me cause if Chelsea decides to misbehave in the next match then  there's absolute nothing to say about the team.
Watching the match Chelsea really dominated and they could not score any goal or they're used to playing prefect today and play nonsense tomorrow and I'm not even surprised.
