And it turns out our predictions were wrong. ha ha ha I was really surprised when I saw the final result of Arsenal vs West Ham 0 - 2. Arsenal lost.

The fact that these end results catch us by surprise so often also shows how unpredictable the Premier League is. In the last few weeks I really have been wrong countless of times with my picks and that had mostly to do with the games in which the favorites won against the inferior teams. Today it was Manchester United against Nottingham Forest, but then there was of course Arsenal against West Ham. But there have been several games recently where this became evident.

I sometimes want to be more bold with my picks, but every time I think that there is no chance it would end like that. But it does quite often. Should be taking more risks at times.

And apparently it doesn't stop there, mate. In fact, at the end of this year, yesterday Arsenal also lost to Fulham 2 - 1. Isn't this really worrying? after being in the top standing position for so long and in the end having to plunge to 4th place at Arsenal? Even if we look at the mid-season match, Arsenal's performance has declined quite a bit... I don't know what will happen in Arsenal's next EPL match against Crystal Palace, where their opponents often give strong surprises and are difficult to beat. Hemmm, this will really test Arsenal's abilities again, whether they have recovered or are still the same.

The good news for Tottenham and their fans is about their famous player, Pape Sarr. Pape Matar Sarr extended his contract with the club until June 20230. A longterm project for the Senegal international who's keen on developing his performance for the club in the midfield.

Still unbelievable how Tottenham stylish slipped down from top four on the league table. Tottenham started the season very well with unbeaten streak without the impact of departed Harry Kane showing in the team. Unfortunately things started taking opposite direction after they lost to Chelsea in early November. It's new year and every club is expected to improve their squad during this January window and hopefully we might see wonders from some teams. Perhaps, they can fight hard to get a spot in top four before the season comes to an end.

Of course, Tottenham will fight for the top 4, only one point separates them from Arsenal, and only three points from Aston Villa, so nothing is lost for them yet. I assume that the main fight for 4th place will be between Tottenham and, as strange as it may sound, between Aston Villa. I still doubt that Aston Villa will be able to consistently maintain the level of play that they demonstrate, but I will be glad if I am wrong. It’s a pity to see the decline that Newcastle has experienced, they showed an excellent game at the beginning of the season, but now everything has changed dramatically.

Their performance was very good last year, but they are far from performing similarly this year. The Premier League is a tough league. This performance is one that currently raises questions. Are they good enough to fight for the top four places this year? I don't see it that way, they may not be in the top 6 this year.

You are really lucky, I expected over 2.5 goals in this match because they hardly play draw based on past games and also I noticed how West Ham have been scoring goals recently but i think maybe it was due to brighton’s drop of form else they could have scored a goal and if one goal is in it will be the gateway for more goals. The two teams created many chances but failed to convert any, brighton was clearly the better side as they had more goal scoring opportunities and failed to score. The match was interesting one to watch despite losing my bet as no team could score a goal.

West Ham were very smart in this match. They are aware that Brighton could be a threat to them. Although currently West Ham has a better ranking than Brighton. But West Ham realized that Brighton's ability or performance could indeed be better than theirs. So West Ham prefers not to implement an aggressive strategy in attacking in this match. I don't know what Arteta have for the fans this new year if is a brand new disguised disappointment we have to see again no one knows. All I want to see this second part of the season concerning Arsenal is that winning ability to be there, the boys need to be consistent in everything they do.
Losing points and dropping out of the race for the EPL title isn't what the fans want and some crazy excuses from the manager, last year we got so many complains about VAR but to me I don't see those as excuses to why the Gunners lost most of their games.
This time chances need to be converted and Arteta need a real striker to make the wingers look serious in getting more of the ball in the opposition's box. To me Gabriel Jesus is not the striker the Gunners can rely on at this stage of the season.

I received news that Everton are interested in using Lingard. Currently Lingard does not have a contract and he has trained with several clubs and most recently with Al-Ettifaq. Currently Lingard is 31 years old. Lingard last had a contract with Nottingham Forest and it ended last summer. It seems that he continues to try to maintain his physical condition and hopes for a new contract.

It's not that bad for him to go to the everton. He can at very least get regular time again even though he was not young anymore, but he is still 31 years old. He still has a few more years left before he can finally retire from his career as a professional football player.

Lingard can still shows that if he is still worthy to be recruited as a good player for EPL club. I hope everton will sign him as soon as possible. I remember his golden time in the manchester untied.
It's saddened me that his era must be end very soon even he was so difficult to get a new club that wll give him a job to play again as a footballer.

I also had doubts about betting on this match. And almost thought about betting on a draw. But I changed my mind and bet on West Ham. And it turns out the result of this match ended in a draw. Well for me this is a quite disappointing match result. The problem is that I also expect a lot of goals to occur in this match. But it was truly surprising to see the match end without a single goal. This happened because West Ham slightly changed their pattern of play in this match. I was bet on Westham with asian handicap -0.25, and almost bet Over 1.5 in the 2nd half but luckily i didnt do that.

There will be round 3 of the FA cup this week, but yeah kinda hard to predict in this phase.

Meanwhile we will put this postponed match aside because it will be a meal at the end of the season. Seeing Liverpool trend of being one step ahead of Man City we still cannot feel safe, for Jurgen Klopp just a difference of 5 points is not enough to stop Man City enthusiasm.

Brighton isn't a team that should be seen as weak or underestimated because like you rightly mentioned, they do make games really tough for bigger teams and even end up winning in some cases so I must say that West Ham drawing against Brighton is considerably a fair result because I feel it's very possible Brighton would have won even playing fr away.

West ham did played a good game for me and deserves to have won the game but then Brighton has a very good defensive mechanism that can't be penetrated easily except if their opponent has got a better attack and striking force to be able to break through their defense, they are both average team and I wasn't expecting a goalless draw from them, by the end of the first half I was anticipating some goals by the second half since they couldn't get any in the first half but then both teams were really tough on each other and not letting loose of their defense at any point.

The most frightening thing about Manchester City is their late game mode and as we know they also did it last season when they fell behind Arsenal. I agree that Jurgen Kloop will not be able to calm down even though he is now 5 points away from Manchester City and Liverpool still has to continue its winning trend if they don't want Manchester City to start threatening him.

This season's competition belongs to experienced coaches and Pep Guardiola's battle against Jurgen Kloop feels more tense than other coaches. I feel the high intensity of the rivalry and I still don't place Arteta in the circle of these two great coaches.

I think West Ham were more happy with the result of this match because Brighton attacked them like a tiger. They took many positions. I was expecting them to score a goal, but they never scored. West Ham goalkeeper Areola was the main player who brought 1 point to West Ham.
