Liverpool always keeps their guard up and when Arsenal lets their guard down and makes a mistake, Liverpool takes advantage of that opportunity to get a goal.

Arsenal was definitely in the pole position most of the time in that game, but it is still a game where all that counts are the goals. No goals, no win. But Liverpool played well with the means they had. It is never an easy game to play away from home against Arsenal these days as they have made tremendous progress themselves in the last two years. They compensated well for the absence of Salah, but it could be seen that he is missing big time. They will need him back as soon as possible. I was so impressed with the performance of Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne is back with incredible thing, the club really missed him, his First game since August and Kevin De Bruyne has already give an assist, so many people that are saying that they can do without him it's a lie because Haaland really suffered his absent, I think Haaland should learn how to be creative because Kevin De Bruyne will not stay long like him so he have to stand on his feet to be creative, assuming he has that creativity and Kevin De Bruyne all together, no one can stand him in times of goals.

What progress? I was not even seeing it as a progress. You won so many matches but you got nothing, what's difference with you lose and you got nothing? I took trophy as the main target by any team. I can't call that team was successful without even winning any trophiy.
This kinda weird to call that the performance from arsenal has made some progress. I saw that if there's no different compared to the last season. This club has no winning mentality and that's it. It doesn't even matter how much money spent by the club and the result will always be the same.

I am not even remotely surprised by the possibility of Arsenal ending yet another season without any trophies, as it has become a recurring pattern for the club's ownership to fail in achieving success in competitions. Arsenal's players must be ashame caused by they ran for nothing at the end of season.

Of course, Liverpool is not the only one affected by this. Still, leaving the team at a time like this would be damaging for Liverpool, which is competing for the title. This season is a tough one, we can see already more than three teams competing closely for the title. Huddersfield was a low tier club and it's all going to be a non sense thing if manchester city will not be able to win against huddersfield. Yeah that's amazing to see that so many key players were playing again like doku and de bruyne. Manchester city could use the secondary squad to win against it.
In fact, huddersfield was a very weak team and it will not be a hard opponent for manchester city to beat it. Manchester city is winning against huddersfield with 5 goals and it was getting perfect cleansheet today.
No doubt that since the gap between the king of UCL last season is too big compared to the huddersfield but it was good enough caused by hudders can still play against the strongest team in EU last season. It will be even better if bruyne will be back again.

Im not even doubting the performance of manchester city once it was coming to the knock out stage. City will always be on fire in this stage.

Manchester City can still be relatively relaxed, it is not as if they were far behind and would need to fear that they lose contact to the top teams at the table. In fact if they win that one game which they still have to play to catch up in the number of games, it is just 2 points between them and a very strong Liverpool. But the season is still very long and if we think about the teams that have most likely the longest breath in this race, I think most of us here would agree that it is more likely to see Manchester City make some big moves instead of Aston Villa or Arsenal. In my opinion there is nothing to worry about for them.

There is still alot ahead of this season and Manchester City is still in a good position to climb the table to top the league,  I was arguing with a Manchester City fan earlier this week and he was so optimistic that Manchester City is going to retain their current title in all leagues.

But I try to point him to some fact that may limit the club from achieving that in this season,  but he was so bent on his point and at that point, I have to leave him alone and let time do the judgement,  to see where Manchester city will end this season.

Ok that is quite optimistic because I think that no team so far has ever won the treble twice in a row. Solely based on statistics I think that this statement is doomed to turn out to be wrong, but for as long as Manchester City is around and in the position to win all of the titles, there is nothing that speaks against them doing it. Whether they will, I don't know. But we can see that the competition in the Premier League has become incredibly tough and in the Champions League there are a couple of clubs that I think are on the same level as Manchester City. Definitely Real Madrid I think.

It's not just you who are starting to think whether Arsenal will be okay with their current performance in preparation for the Champions League later. Because actually the strength of Arsenal's back and midfield is quite impressive. Even their front line always seems to be able to make things difficult for their opponents. Even Liverpool in yesterday's match looked overwhelmed from the first half. Because Arsenal continuously made attacks which always almost endangered Liverpool's goal. But what is very disappointing is that Arsenal's attacks always endanger the opponent's goal but that's all. Well poor finishing is the only problem in Arsenal's current squad. Arteta has actually created a good strategy that can always pressure opponents. But I think the problem here is with the players themselves. They are quite bad because they always fail to take advantage of opportunities. So Arteta's task in this case may only be to convince the front line players to be able to play more confidently.

I keep on wondering if Arsenal's performance will improve better than this way, as they played the entire game and were unable to score, but their opponents scored goals. I was hoping that Arsenal would pull off a fantastic comeback against Liverpool after losing to West Ham and Fulham, but after the game, I was really disappointed with their performance. They played well in the first half of the game, but they just didn't score, they lose their chances. Arsenal's current issue, in my opinion, is with the players. Gabriel Jesus had another injury yesterday, therefore Arteta needs to find a new striker, since they are already to become weak.

Here is the list of temporary top scorers in the EPL and as usual there is the name Erling Haaland who tops the temporary tally with 14 goals and that is the same number as Mohamed Salah who is behind in terms of age. Erling Haaland is still very young and is still consistent with Manchester City and it is likely that he will still be the top scorer in the 23/24 EPL season. Apart from that, there is one surprising name, namely Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth who has managed to score 12 goals so far and that is also the same number of goals as Son from Spurs. Another one is Jarrod Bowen from West Ham with 11 goals which also enlivens the list of top scorers so far.

I think the competition between these players to get the EPL golden boot is still very wide open and they still have the opportunity to increase the number of goals they will score in the remainder of this season. But what is clear is that the competition for top scorers will still be dominated by Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah until the end of this season. Quite curious who will set another record this season.

I think that Erling Haaland will still break the Premier League record this season. The reason why Mohamed Salah have the same number of goals with Haaland, because Haaland has been out of the squad for the past few weeks due to injury, which has given Salah the advantage to score more goals and have equal numbers with him. Yeah mate my statement is just based on speculations and assumptions and nothing more than that,  because we have already multiple factors that may prevent that occurrence from happening and as the season goes going more or more limits may be placed on Manchester City that will prevent them from achieving that records of maintaining that position for multiple of time.

But also we can't outrightly write them off either since at the moment,  Manchester City is the defending champion and is more likely perceived as the closest club to the title since they hold the title currently.

Well for me they've got a great squad and impressive management too but it'll be better if there's an improvement to what they already have. They need to take advantage of the current window and strengthen some areas of the team, especially the top 9 position cause Gabriel Jesus is becoming unrelaible and Nketiah is still not very experienced for that role.

 Adding a striker to the list and a few more players with increased effect won't really be a bad idea, rather it'll push the team into getting greater, bigger results. One would wait to anticipate what the January transfer window holds for this team.

I agree with you 100% that Arsenal is a good team, and they have been performing well in various competitions, which I am sure many people will testify to. For the team to have more strength during the current transfer window, which is a good advantage for them, especially in the top nine positions, will possibly be beneficial. Gabriel Jesus's reliability and Nketiah's experience are valid concerns. What a very good biography you've given Arsenal, though they are a good team, no doubt about that but the repeat of the mistakes they frequently make is what is getting me angry with them. In one of my past reviews of the club, as much as I gave them some praise, I also gave them some knocks and insisted that they could try but might still not be able to lift the cup this season. This is not because I don't want them to lift the cup but because I have carefully studied the Gunners, they always mess up when the ovation is loud for them, so I am not surprised with their recent performance, they always drop from the first spot. The feat they were supposed to maintain when they meet both big and lesser clubs, they will douse it and start trying harder later when opportunities have been missed in the past. Missed opportunities in soccer may not be regained if one is not careful which is why it is even good for them to be extra careful and prepare better when they face big clubs as the 3 points gained from a big team win is a stronger point closer to winning the tournament than winning the lesser team that it is almost certain that you will win.

This is very important even though it is the same point we are talking about, but the hurdles are not the same, and if maximised, it is an added advantage. The same thing was their issue last season, they will become hot at times and turn cold later, such will not help them to maintain good standing. FA apart because I knew that Liverpool would beat them, but you can imagine West Ham beating Arsenal 2 to no goal on their part, and Fulham almost replicate it if not for the early time goal by Saka. They should have played better having drawn Liverpool in an earlier match with them about 2 weeks ago. The same early-minute goal helped them against Liverpool as well. But instead of continuing to be ferocious with the attack, they will attack a little afterwards but defend more. This is certainly not working for them, they need to change and not praise the cooperation with the coach alone against what you said. The players should be up and doing and if it is about removing and adding in this transfer window, let Arteta do it. But I strongly doubt if any changes will have so much effect on the players even as I see not much issue other than the player needs more motivation or pressure as the case may be. The current guys played well initially, they can still do the same if better managed in my opinion.

Of course this has a bad impact on Arsenal, but this defeat proves that Arsenal always have difficulty appearing higher than other teams.

Arsenal really need a winning mentality, they don't have it at the moment even though I think Arsenal have a good chance of winning. It's difficult to get results like that when the team's performance is quite good when starting the match, but what can you do, Arsenal failed with all their good chance. But against Liverpool the game took a direction that couldn't be predicted during the game. I think the goal against Arsenal after 80 minutes was brutal as it was an own goal when Arsenal themselvses had their chances to take the lead and instead they put the ball in the back of the net in their own goal. The second goal scored by Diaz was probably not even necessary anymore, but I am sure that this was one of those wins that Klopp enjoy in a very special way.

We can say that Liverpool was quite lucky that they could have 2 goals. The first goal is an own goal made by Jakub Kiwior (Arsenal player). Another goal was made in the injury time (90+5'). If there is no own goal, Arsenal players may have a better chance to score goals. Luckily, Arsenal player made a mistake, the own goal happened, it dropped their mentality.

It may be not really important goal anymore but it make Liverpool to ensure their win. By scoring another goal, Liverpool didn't win the match by getting an own goal only. At least Liverpool could score 1 goal from their own players.

Now it's time for the Arsenal to have some improvement into their attack if they want to have better result otherwise things can go from bad to worse with in their last 7 games they have just one win and 2 draws which are clearly showing how they are losing their target and from these 7 games they score only 3 goals which are worst for the top team like Arsenal even they are having good control, but finishing is not good creativity is also not good which are important for them if they want to win better in coming weeks.

Now in coming weeks, their life could be tough with they need to act quickly, and they have no enough time for doing things which are needed frustration can bring more negativity which is never been good while you are fighting for the top spots into tough leagues hopefully this last lost against Liverpool could be turning point for them, and they will be overcome their problems.

I mean I wouldn't be too mad at them for losing to Liverpool. People are overreacting a bit, sure they have lost a few games in a row now and that is why people are reacting so badly, but THIS one is not really a shock, they played against Liverpool and Liverpool is by far one of the best teams of entire premier league in the last 10 years, only beaten by City, when you lost to second best team of the last 10 years in a nation, that shouldn't really be a big deal at all, I think that's normal.

Arsenal is getting better, they are a respectable team, and they are going to probably be better and better with team, they just hit a rock now and having trouble but with time I am sure that they are going to get better.

Experiencing defeat by Liverpool in the FA Cup is quite normal. And we shouldn't be surprised by these results. In fact, Arsenal actually dominated the game quite well in this match from the start. But I also understand the disappointment that many people complained about Arsenal in that match. Because Arsenal actually almost scored a goal in the early minutes of the match. But they wasted it. And it happened not once but several times. It was as if the Arsenal players were very nervous in the match and were not confident in executing a shot or finishing. Maybe the disappointment is more this way from my point of view. Since the start, Liverpool have actually been under quite a lot of pressure from the Arsenal players, but yeah, it's a little annoying to see opportunities wasted. Their Arsenal squad is nervous because the opponent they face is one of the best EPL teams, namely Liverpool. So I also feel this is normal. I hope that in the next match Arsenal can do better. Because currently Arsenal is also almost eliminated from the top 4 rankings. If they continue to get bad results then the top 4 ranking will belong to another team.

I was not expecting at all to see Arsenal losing this game even against a team like Liverpool because for a coach like Arteta with the money they spent it was very important to win the match and try his luck to win the FA Cup in this season.

As someone who watched Arsenal performances in the beginning in almost the whole of the first half of the season, I'm very surprised with their recent performances because they're absolutely underperforming compared to what they did at the start of the season. Arsenal were so impressive that I thought they were gonna end the season with the English Premier League title but with their recent performances, I don't they'll be able to finish the season with any trophy this season.

Against Liverpool yesterday, I expected Arsenal to make sure they eliminated the Reds since the FA Cup looks like the only domestic cup that they're capable of winning this season. They're currently in the fourth position of the English Premier League table but I don't think they're competitive enough to win the league this season and now that they've been eliminated from the English FA Cup, their only hope of lifting a trophy this season if you ask me will be to win the UEFA Europa League competition and that I don't think will be easy for them since they're are many other strong European clubs that are also contesting for the trophy

De Bruyne made a great return by the way. He entered the game in the 57th minute of their FA Cup game and it took him only 17 minutes to make an assist to Doku.    It was a really lovely assist as well. This is great news for Manchester City as the games which De Bruyne is a part of are much more winnable for them.

From now on I expect to see him in their next Premier League games as well. I don't know if he would be in the starting eleven right away in their next league game. But in a short time at worst he would take his place back there for sure.

Arsenal tried a lot to win the match against Liverpool. But they were unable to do so. Now I don't want to say that Arsenal won't be able to actually get back to the good form that they were in back a few weeks but it sure looks to be very hard for them to do right now. They have not done very well in the last 5 matches. Far better was expected from them.

I don't know if we can say it's all because of their mentality or not. Of course, they are not in the best shape right now.

I this agree with the post above me, I don't think arsenal tried to win that game, I watch the match and first half both teams played very poorly, the chances Arsenal had were never a serious threat to Liverpool defense in any way. I think it was generally a boring match and both teams did not give it their all, Liverpool had some luck to end up winners in the end.

There is still alot ahead of this season and Manchester City is still in a good position to climb the table to top the league,  I was arguing with a Manchester City fan earlier this week and he was so optimistic that Manchester City is going to retain their current title in all leagues.

Seriously this season will be kind of different for Manchester City, there performance is really good also this season, but it can’t be compared with last season, I still believe they should be able to retain premier league title this season, but they are going to find it difficult to win other league titles this season. Manchester City performance drop this season since De Bruyne went on injury, but now that he is back, let’s see how Manchester City performance is going to improve. Their next premier league match will be against Newcastle, let’s see how Manchester city Will perform in the match.
