One thing about Pep Guardiola is that since he understand the performance and the strength of his main players he may not really put all of them on that match because there is nothing to evaluate from the old players again and also considering the fact that the new season is by the corner he will try to avoid stressing those players too much, though the only reason why he would want to use the main players is actually because of the new players he signed so that they will get use to the team pattern of playing, so actually I agree with you that the match may likely be very unpredictable irrespective of Manchester City being more superior than them because I think Pep Guardiola aim on that match is identifying the best strategy or pattern to use.

The best strategists is Pep Guardiola, so he’ll definitely be trying out how to make good use of a new strategy that will go well with the old and new players. They lost in their last preseason game but that is not enough to see Manchester City as a team without much competitive edge to be a winner. The game is a very tough one and I think he won’t use his main players in this game. He would not want to risk them going for injury, so it’s better they dont feature in that match. Starting the season with a full squad is a very good advantage that Pep Guardiola won’t joke with since he’s having a big time next season with all teams not willing to allow him win the trophy for another consecutive time.

The reason why Manchester City did not win the match was because Pep Guardiola interest was not even on that  side because already we can see that Erling Haaland and jack Grealish was the only strong player that was fixtured on that match which means that wining was not even important thing for Pep Guardiola, so actually what I observed on that was that Pep Guardiola was trying to give the younger players the opportunity to know how well they can possibly performed if they are to be played on a real match, however Manchester City is not the kind of club people should be concerned about if they lose any pre season matches because we all know that Manchester City is not a weak club.

It's ridiculous to keep adding 1 more goalkeeper, why have more than 2? I am surprised by Chelsea transfer pursuit which can be said to be a waste of time and money.

Goalkeepers are young, the ones signed by the Blues. They're loaned out for experience and improvement of their abilities. Chelsea is one of the best club in the EPL and doesn't seem good to watch them not hooked up with the big standards.

Todd Boehly doing his best to make solid plans for the future of the team, that's basically the reason he's going all in for the young players. These tender players will grow to become valuable and important for the club in the promising future.

Chelsea is currently the most active team recruiting players in the summer transfer market, they have brought in almost 8 players in different positions to strengthen their squad next season and the majority of those recruited are young players, what Chelsea is doing certainly confuses some people because they continue to add goalkeepers while they already have 7 goalkeepers including those who have returned from their current loan period, but in my opinion what Chelsea is doing is very right at the moment by recruiting young goalkeepers who might be valuable assets in the future, apart from that, main their goalkeeper  last season also performed quite poorly so with the arrival of a new goalkeeper then it will likely provide tough competition for Kepa to become Chelsea main goalkeeper.

We cannot keep football away from business and investment, so the presence of this young goalkeeper will certainly be a good asset for Chelsea in the future, each squad will only carry 2 or 3 goalkeepers for the main skuad in match and the rest of that the goalkeepers they have of course will be loaned out to other teams for improve the performance and also the price of the goalkeeper in the future, so it would be wrong if we said that Chelsea is just wasting money and time now, because after all what Chelsea doing is a investment in the future which will be very profitable for them.

I don't think it is that good for any team to do that. They are very active and they hire many players but the fact about Chelsea is they just hire players and they don't try to do their best to have better performance using that player. However, Chelsea hired many younger players and that's a step forward for them. I think in Chelsea, Todd Boehly should try to have a better coach and a more stable team instead of just hiring players.

Maybe a small number of bettors are not sure to bet on friendly matches but for me friendly matches usually all clubs score big or maybe without scoring.
So to predict the Manchester City vs Barcelona match, I will not be confused because both clubs will definitely score even bigger.
There is no guarantee but at least we can see the formation of both clubs whether both clubs will use main players or only use reserve players.

I don't know why but I don't too fancy betting on these friendly games because majority of the clubs especially the so called big clubs don't like playing with effort to get maximum result. Just like you said, goals market will be the best option to bet on the friendly games. By the way, I don't see over 4.5 goals realistic in that match which means the option you suggest is a good one but the odd will be very meager because even with their main players in each team, I don't think they can score up to five goals. It's a preseason match and they wouldn't like to feature their key players due to fear of possible injuries.

Maybe Chelsea don’t really know what their problem is, because I am just kind of surprised that adding a goalkeeper is the only thing they could even think about. Goalkeeper isn’t even part of the problem Chelsea is having currently. I don’t know what Chelsea will be doing with so many goalkeepers that they are having, their defense is just kind of poor in all their pre season matches, they are not talking about how they will improve their defense or other positions. I am not just impressed with Chelsea's performance in all the pre season matches, and I have the feeling that their performance won't change even when the season starts.

I am of the opinion that preseason games shouldnt be compared so much with real season games. It’s just not relatable to some extent because players tends to be at their best and coach be at their best strategy when they are playing games during the season. Chelsea have a very big season ahead of them after signing a new coach, he has to be in his best form and give Chelsea the best chance possible to finish in at least the top four positions on the premier league table. They’ve now missed the champions league competition for about two seasons now which is not a good one for them as a top team in English league. Signing of goalkeeper and having more goalkeepers added to their squad is not something that’s bad, they can have them all but at least try to be in their best form when the season begins fully.

I agree with you on this, preseason matches are not what we use in judging a team performance in the new season but in some cases most teams that never did well in the preseason games end up not performing well in the main league competition.
On a general note, preseason games are friendly games that does not have much importance attached to them, an no team is been queried us they lose in the friendlies but the fact still remains that no matter how inconsequential a soccer session is, football lovers will always want their preferred teams to win.
It is not about having many goalkeepers,it is about how useful and good they are to be in the team, although every football team needs extra 2 goal keepers added to the existing one in case of any unforseen circumstance but we should know that a goalkeeper can not function effectively without the help of good defenders, for me, I think Chelsea will perform very well this season, all they need is good team work and understanding, as for players, Chelsea have players that can make things happen.

Guardiola managed to win all the titles with Manchester City. He turned Manchester City from a mediocre team into one of the best clubs in the world. Manchester City Management has a lot of money. However, I am quite worried if they still don't have a crazy striker in front of goal because this will make Arsenal actually reduce the number of goal productivity. There is no way they will always rely on Martinelli or Saka in this matter and considering that Gabriel Jesus is also running out, I think Arsenal should look for a new striker to complete their squad.

I agree with you on this. It’s surprising that Arsenal allow him join Fulham. I think it's about the precedent set by Arteta.
Since Arteta took charge, the progression path for young players has significantly reduced. Among the top clubs, Arsenal are the worst at managing young talents - sale, loan or game time. This is the difference between him and Arsene Wenger.

This is 2024, Everybody is soft- launching their promising youngsters at times of the earliest convenience with a path to the senior team.
Arteta clearly doesn't believe much in nurturing youngsters, I don't like it but that's his method. There's zero excuse for not playing these promising youngsters so any defense or rationalization is just funny.

Last season too we saw many players in Manchester United's squad facing injuries. And this was one of the reasons for Manchester United's erratic performance. And even before the start of this season we heard several injuries. If these injuries are serious then I don't expect anything better from Manchester United next season.

Ten Hag put Hojlund at the center of their attack. Hojlund is now a very important player for the United squad. Manchester United cannot find a suitable replacement for Hojlund at the moment. But maybe if Antony's performance improves. But Antony's performance is very erratic. So I'm mentally prepared to see the erratic performance of Manchester United's forward players next season as well.

Last was hell. I don't not wish such a season on a coach because, he might not be able to get the chance Erik ten Hag has under this new management. But then, his absence doesn't scare and worries me too much, Joshua Zirkzee is a dynamic player and he will fit in well perfectly.

Antony as a number nine? That guy doesn't behave like a born brazilian. His football has got to be the worst in Manchester United currently. I never rated Marcus Rashford last season but I see he'll have a better season than Antony. Better days ahead of they get Erik ten Hag solid players.

Unlike Gnabry who joined Arsenal for 3 years, Rowe already in Arsenal since 2016, 8 years without any improvement, there's no time for Arsenal to wait him. Arsenal also have so many talented players, Rowe can't compete with them.

 Arsenal should forget about their hopes of lifting the trophy this new season if they don't bolster their frontline but rather depend on Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz because I don't see how doing the same thing over and over again will give you a different result.
 Last two seasons, the Gunners came very close to carrying it but without a good number 9, it's going to be very difficult. Many teams are adding to their arsenal, covering their loopholes in preparation for the new season and those who qualified for champions league competition are trying their best to ensure they are ready but so far what Arsenal have done is to sign Raya and a defender they don't really need since they have William Saliba, Gabriel and even Zinchenko but the one they so need, they are dragging their feet.

Can we blame Arteta on this selling of young players who I feel can take the team to the next level, I can't seem to get why is always the young ones. The thing is they are going to find it hard to accept their mistakes when they see Smith Rowe doing much better than he did at Arsenal. Fulham can be a small team but they do allow players to showcase their skills and with time you'd see bigger clubs coming for these guys, I have that feeling that Smith Rowe is not going to be a waste to the Fulham side.

We think alike bro, I've thought about same things days ago and you're right cause if he's going into the upcoming season with Gabriel Jesus as the only top 9 then they could end up as runners up again or even finish in the third position, Gabriel Jesus is an injury proned player and since they're thinking of selling Eddie Nketiah, does that mean their only hope for that position in case where Jesus get injured is Kai Havertz? Arteta would be gambling with next season if he over looks that position, since Smith Rowie has accepted a deal with Fulham and could be leaving soon, they could use the money realized from his sale to get Ivan Toney or even Jonathan David. As for the defence position, he did a good job by landing Riccardo Calafiori who would help make that area remain solid. Talking about Victor Osimhen, Arsenal might have joined the race for him but I doubt if they'll be able to spend big like when they did and landed Declan Rice, Osimhen's release clause is something that could force Arsenal to back off from the deal, however it would be very surprising and fans would be very grateful to the board and Mikel Arteta, if they successfully pen a deal for Osimhen.

Its heart breaking to see ESR leave Arsenal. It is one of the transfer news that touched most of the Arsenal fans and his absence will be missed by the team. ESR is the best number 14 position Arsenal have had in quite a long time, his performances and appearances depleted when he suffered a severe knee injury that took him out for two seasons. On his recovery and return to the team, he wasn't given enough playing time. However, i know why Fulham had to go for him because they need someone like him to do wonders in their team. 

What you should understand about Arteta is that he is trying to have more options for his defenders so that he would limit conceding goals. This means he needs more defenders than midfielders or strikers.
