West Ham agree loan deal to sign Carlos Soler

West Ham have reached an agreement to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler on the transfer deadline day.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 27-year-old midfielder will join the Hammers on loan with the obligation to buy next summer.

West Ham will have to pay around €20 million to sign him permanently next summer.

The transfer guru broke the news on X that Soler will travel to London today to undergo his medical ahead of the move. West Ham will cover the player’s salary as per the agreement.

The Hammers have signed as many as nine new players this summer, and Soler could be the last one to have joined the club in this window.

Julen Lopetegui must be very pleased with how the transfer window has unfolded, as the club have backed him properly to bring players of his choice.

I was going to say that Arsenal have not yet played against a big and strong club, but I just remembered that their last opponent was Aston Villa, which actually is also a strong  team, which Arsenal still managed to beat them regardless.
