Morning, Siameze. [Out of The Big House is under a week!]
I've been having great chats (on the phone) with some IMZ guys about how market caps are measured, and doing a little research on how other smaller-cap cryptos have reacted to dumps.
And our birthday? It's a month and 2 days away. What we gonna do?

i have to agree china is difficult topic enter that market without have dedicated chinese community or even better core team members is not likely ending with a success story u will feed some guys with bounties but the results will be not worth it as soon as ur stream of bounty ends any attention is gone
is their any dedicated forums for china's altcoin market i know bct is restricted to Chinese citizens, so how do people go about advertising new altcoins nowadays?

quiet <> storm Zambia, until recently Africa's top copper producer, has also been piling into the Eurobond market, most recently in July when it had to pay a hefty 9.375 percent for a $1.25 billion bond earmarked to finance a yawning deficit. Yo! Zambia, 1. Give me all your copper. And cheap! 2. Bonus ... $1.25 billion loan ... @10% vig 3. Now go fund projects that benefit me and not your native population. 4. We'll repeat this process again but cheaper copper, bigger loan, higher rate. Love You-Rope

And if anyone is at a loose end, check out the array of trading-pairs that we have on Cryptopia. And the Chinese market? Whether we go there or not, let's scrounge up some data![EDIT] Zack, typical of our style -- patient, honest, P2P-oriented -- we thought of finding a fluent English-and-Chinese speaker in the diaspora (Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, U.S., Canada, Hong Kong,?); getting them interested in cryptos -- remittance and trading; and mentoring them over time.

is their any dedicated forums for china's altcoin market i know bct is restricted to Chinese citizens, so how do people go about advertising new altcoins nowadays? This is an important question which must be answered. The top 3 Chinese altcoin forums should have a designated bilingual UNO community member generating activity in the forums, translating posts and answering questions. They should be posting in Weibo or whatever social media sites are most popular in China. I don't believe this job would be expensive, I would post to reddit, twitter, bitcointalk etc. for an extremely small fee, while actually myself and others are doing it now for free. We'll give them a few UNO a week for a few months, then they will be interested or committed enough with their holdings to continue it on their own, or enough of a presence would already be established to continue itself. Or just pay them like 0.01 UNO per post, follow, share, etc. (If we could be relatively sure they were genuine.)

Pay per post is a great idea if you can ensure quality posting, I made a decent sum doing this on Spanish-language websites for a long time.

We can hammer out the details as we go. H o w e v e r . . . a reconnaissance into the Chinese market is warranted, and now is the time to do it. Was gonna ask -- what is BTC38's reputation like? I'm still poking about -- but can we get a couple of Uno folk registered on a Chinese exchange? and see if there are any English speakers in the troll box? It would be a free and easy excursion that we could all cooperate on.I actually recently tried this while checkin' out two 'Chinese coins' -- TRMB and YB Coin. Got this far just using the Google page-translation whatsit -- https://yuanbaohui.com/user/reg -- on Yuanbao, but couldn't complete a registration. Then sent an email to the support desk, to see if they'd answer. Nuh.

Siameze: Perhaps you're the one to lead the way into the Spanish speaking world? Venezuela and Argentina have experienced impressive growth in bitcoin interest the last couple of years (lots of articles about it even by mainstream media like CNN and BBC). Surely some people in those countries would find UNO to be a very appealing prospect even just for 1%-10% of their savings. This is especially true for Unobtanium because of the reason many of these people are interested in bitcoin (preserving wealth in inflationary economies).
IMZ: I'll try to register on BTC38 tonight. They seem to be fairly reputable with $90,000 in bitcoin volume & $40,000 in Litecoin volume.

I have been doing some BTC work over the past few weeks for the Argentina market. Very nice group of people, and a much more relaxed atmosphere. Venezuela is a harder nut to crack, one of my best friends lives there and infrastructure is in such bad shape that he has a hard time even getting a reliable internet connection for more than a few hours. I can possibly check out interest on the Spanish-language threads here. https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/ seems to have nothing negative about btc38, but these altcoin markets are not my specialty ( I'm lazy and would rather hire a broker ).

Siameze: Please look into Spanish forums here (and possibly elsewhere). Also, give us a quote, what's the least amount of UNO you would accept to do a Spanish translation of unobtanium.uno

Siameze: Please look into Spanish forums here (and possibly elsewhere). Also, give us a quote, what's the least amount of UNO you would accept to do a Spanish translation of unobtanium.uno I was unaware UNO didn't have a Spanish language page. English being the primary language of international business I often never look for such things. I am unsure what to charge, though it would be far less for the community than my normal rate. I will also speak with some friends on twitter and see i we can spread the word. Some thoughts on culture: Whereas business is often conducted at a fast pace in the U.S. and other English speaking countries, this most definitely does not apply in Latin American countries and especially Argentina. If your average user feels pressured into anything, they will see it as a less-than-favorable venture and you will likely lose that person's interest. While this is the exception, and not the rule, don't make the redditard mistake of trying to throw the entire arsenal on them at once. Patience has it's rewards.

Pace and patience aren't issues siameze. We're not trying to pressure, simply make people aware. They can invest in UNO tomorrow, in 10 years or not at all. I'm not trying to encourage a pump, but to ensure steady progress. It's actually a good fit, I was talking to bullionbob in the cryptsy chat and he said "I've traded UNO for 1.5 years, it has always been good to me but it is a slow coin." It's slow so it's good for Argentina

its a fine line between sounding like you're just talking about something, and sounding like you're selling them something. any advice on how to do this online or IRL would be appreciated. I have friends who are tech savvy and invest in things, but I haven't yet brought up Unobtanium because I don't want to blow it. It'll happen one of these days, but its gotta come up naturally in conversation. I imagine the same would be true to nudging our way into foreign markets
