What's the max coin supply here? And where we now? Thanks!
For Uno coin stats, check http://unobtanium.uno/We may go over 190k UNO today. Current mined coins are 189,981.06. There will only ever be 250k Uno, but not in your lifetime. The last 50k will be mined over nearly 300 years. Man I like that. Rare coins have a much better chance to go up when demand picks up which should be soon. Thanks! Cheers! *gets chills* Very exciting times, my friends. The media is starting to mention altcoins more often, too (whenever they talk about bitcoin). I feel like it's going to take another btc boom to get to a fair unobtanium price.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

You ain't seen nothing yet. Last year I said Wall Street was secretly buying up Bitcoin and it turned out to be true.
Well, my guess has been, for months now, that Wall Street has been buying up various alts - many of them since you never know which one will be that next big one.
While some good named niche market coins can also be bought out by various corporations or industries because it's easier than launching your own coin - an older coin already comes with a large distribution and a large user base and it would be better received than a corporate coin.
Next year should be very exciting for Bitcoin and alts and I think the party is gonna start very soon, Max September. So load up now on all these oversold alts.

That makes sense. There have been thousands of coins launched but only a few dozen have survived successfully at higher hashrates for a year or more. If you are a multibillion dollar company why not have an intern toss a few million at the top 50 alts that have been around for a bit, just as a hedge. I can hear them in the boardroom: "We missed bitcoin but we will not miss the next one!" And UNO has a blockchain that shows mining work has been done at a very high difficulty. Some of those hashes were done at hundreds of terrabytes. It has been a high difficulty blockchain for an altcoin since the start. That gives credibility as an investment. An investment company launching a coin looks like a scam, but buying into selected top alts looks like an investment that they can offer to their customers. Maybe the big wallet on the richlist is really Morgan Stanley.

I collect and trade rare and lost cryptocurrencies and blockchains. Prefer fair launch/no premine, pre-2014 coins.

Looks like we got a little attention recently. http://blog.gryfencryp.to/2014/08/06/unobtanium-uno/by @Hapahoule Meh. Any volunteers to help update our "decidedly unhelpful" wiki page? http://coinwik.org/UnobtaniumOur website is, "..solid and has a lot of detail." Nice! Their suggestion is to add info about the devs and "make any effort to build trust with users." There's always more we can do, certainly, but I'm very quite pleased with our site, especially coming out of the ashes of the defunct unobtanium.io. Great to see that $UNO is, more and more, on the radar screen of people surveying the altcoin landscape.

I was made a moderator for /r/unobtanium by arthurf, so I took the opportunity to update the sidebar. First official action was to remove links to the old wallet. Also updated the rest of the links including exchanges (removed Coinex), explorer and website.
It's nice to see some of you already active there. I think there's huge outreach potential with the /r/unobtanium community, and I hope our good natured fellowship here will spill over there. If you have ideas on how to increase Unobtanium's outreach and presence on Reddit, let me know if I can help.
I've removed Coins-e from our list of active exchanges, since they have have been in maintenance mode for more than a month and haven't responded to my support requests about it. I'll be very happy to re-list them when/if they return their market. If you have Uno there, you might want to check on it.

Shit, I'm gonna put my foot in it -- noobie blow-in from Other Coin; but you did ask, and I have had this on the list for some time:
it is part of my notion of 'National Chapters' -- so much merchandising makes sense only on a national basis (physical bullion!).
Well, there is an 'r/australia' thread on Reddit. I suggest it's time to set up 'r/mynation' First Info on Cryptos threads in these non-crypto forums.

Well folks we did it. We just passed the 190k coins mark. Hooorah!
To celebrate I updated the homepage. Here's a changelist: * Added new section: Team (if any member wants something changed, message me!) * Fixed nethash stat (yay!) * removed network graph and infoblock (the API problems persist, I can get the correct *current* nethash from a different API, but not a correct history right now. Will create a server-side workaround for this after my vacation - if there is demand)
Enjoy!

Thanks for the updates, Learminer! Yea! Just 190,000 rare Uno in the world! Take care not to lose a single one! Just in from NK official news media... Kim Jong Un has paid the princely sum of 3 concubines for the 190,000th Un! "Joke is on seller," said Kim. "I would have paid 30, and these 3 are not my favorites."

Somebody good with math. How long until we hit 200k Un?
--
could be up to a decade - i didn't calculate to the last Un though ... until next halving is roughly 1600 Un to go ... then the 200 days after that there will be 3100 ... 200 days after that 1500 ... 200 days after that 750 ... and so on. We will hit minimum-reward before 200k don't we? Or shortly after that. Next 10k will take years. This is the time of a big rise ... can't be long.

I pledge 100 Un to the primary manager of The Blue-Crypto Award on UNO's birthday this year, providing the following criteria are satisfied:
1. Awards to nominees are announced and paid on UNO's birthday in 2014, the completion of The Blue-Crypto Award project for this year.
2. Promotion is clearly evident before and during the voting period.
3. Promotional advertising and/or news articles reach at least 10,000 viewers, with some form of supporting evidence or logic to support that at least 10,000 viewers have had this fine exposure to such an awesome crypto.
4. Evidence of at least 100 participants in voting.
5. The Blue-Crypto Award must be awarded to either some kind of global hero, innovator, or free media reporting. (Person or Organization) Selection should be somewhat globally comprehensive, at least open up the nominee selection opportunity to a global audience. (i.e. The Blue-Crypto Award is fair and world-wide.)
6. 'Development' (and organization), which can be very simple or not (this year) must begin in the next 2 weeks.
7. There must be at least 1 adequate news article posted in the free media about The Blue-Crypto Award.
8. The manager must post publically-announced buy orders the sum of which are equivalent to The Blue-Crypto Award immediately before the 100 UNO prize is sent to the winning nominee's UNO address, and per the details in the previous post, above.
-
Also, if more than one person, developer, or organization wants to manage The Blue-Crypto Award, This UNO community should vote on which one gets to do it. (Bitcointalk handle/vote) (no sock puppets!)
if someone takes the lead in this i could surely assist and support

I don't see any support for UNO on the Casheer forum. The Giveaway ends Sunday. Here are the details: Would you like to win $50 worth of your choice currency while also helping your favorite coin(s) gain utility by being added to the Casheer platform? If so, here's your chance! There are two ways to win and we encourage you to participate in both. Twitter Giveaway 1. Follow @CasheerApp on Twitter and tweet out the following message “Just entered to win $50 worth of my choice currency. Follow @CasheerApp and retweet http://[Suspicious link removed]/1sPJktN #ListMyCoin". Forum Giveaway 1. Register and post on the Casheer forum ( http://forum.casheer.net) to support the coin(s) of your choice. If your coin isn’t listed yet, start a new thread. If you support multiple coins, post once in each of their threads. Tell us WHY you support your favorite coin(s). One thread per coin, PLEASE. The giveaway is open until Sunday, the 17th. We will announce the 2 winners that evening. Good luck!!! Casheer (pronounced - cashier) is a multi-currency, consumer-to-merchant payment platform. At the platform's core, this simply means; you can hold any currency you choose and you can pay any merchant with any currency you choose, regardless of whether that merchant accepts the currencies you hold or not.
In a perfect world, the Casheer platform would make all coins available. Inclusion however, is based on demand. In order to gauge which coins have sufficient demand, it’s important to mobilize your communities and rally support for having your coin added to Casheer. We are currently a pre-funded startup, working on a prototype. http://casheer.net/
