Does anyone have time to run a UNO denominated Alt exchange?
I'm a little busy at the moment, but I like the idea if someone else will do the work... Smiley

very good idea.

Oh, gee, what a surprise.  All the exchanges are in the 0.002's.  (Isn't that what I said we should be trading at weeks ago?  (Because that's all the community can afford to support it.))  Now, instead of a healthy building valuation profile from 0.002 to 0.0029, UNO is looking piss-poor, and the most vested and interested parties have a loss for every purchase over that time period.

[tapping foot in anoyance]

It's not like I didn't try to communicate this to everyone.  I haven't even participated in this market for weeks!

we'll be back up soon. I'll support Un more once other alts go strong. Buywalls can be thrown up at any point when altmarkets turn. Good for you if you saw that coming. I didn't really.

...Another thing I've mentioned:  setting up an UNO trade for silver bullion.  Now Max Keiser is pumping that concept, but not for UNO.

Have we missed that boat, yet, too?

An UNO community member asked me:

Quote
Good idea.

But how is it done?

How to set up the AG for UN trade market?

I have given it thought too.  My biggest question is...

WHO holds AND WHERE is the silver?

I am willing to buy and store upto 100oz.

Can we get at least 10 partners, with 10 global points of delivery/storage?

Much obliged for your thoughts on the matter.

--

My reply is public:

I wouldn't overthink it.  Were you ever familiar with BitMit, when that exchange was operating?  It was like an Ebay for BTC's with escrow.

We just need an Ebay for UNO, or get an existing crypto bazaar website to accept UNO, and then have numerous people swapping for silver.  It helps if they have clear offers like:

100@1oz Ag available for #.## UNO each, buy any quantity.

or...

Spot - 0.01UNO, (slightly below spot to raise UNO value!)

--

Silver is going to keep gaining value.  Why not attach UNO to that ride?  The Unobtanium community is missing a HUGE opportunity, especially as physical silver might become impossible to get your hands on in the next couple of years.  (Don't ask.)

Can anyone geeky and clever with computers tell me why my wallet is not working on OSX. Is it to do with the settings on my mac? This currency will go down to junk if the wallets are unreliable and no one will help fix them when they don't work.

I'll work on it after my round of golf tomorrow.

did this issue ever get resolved?

[tapping foot in anoyance]

It's not like I didn't try to communicate this to everyone.  I haven't even participated in this market for weeks!

Buyers are in no hurry and are taking advantage of weak hands.  I see a clear shakedown occurring. I would rather see Uno higher because, well, my pride -- I prefer a strong Uno. It makes it easier to get things done for Uno and to get attention of people if I can brag of a 500k market cap, good trade volume and a "top 50" ranking on coinmarketcap.

But I'm not too worried right now.  On MP, UNO can be bought up to .004 with only 1.7 btc.  And .005 is only 2.9 btc away.  Wouldn't be surprised to see some big sell wells to try and push it lower.  Someone wants cheap Uno.

I think what's happening is a continued transfer of Uno from weaker hands to whales who have a longer term interest in Uno.
The markets are very thin right now on both sell and buy side.  Buyers keep moving down thin offers, and as long as people keep dumping into the lower price, they have further incentive to keep moving the buy orders lower, especially when it's so easy to bring Uno back up later.

I'm at a loss right now, but I could buy a helluva lot more Uno at .001 and lower my average buy price.  My concern is for the community, that new traders will lose interest, and a low marketcap makes Uno look unimportant. And if volume drops too low on exchanges for too long, that could eventually be bad for Uno.

When the dumping stops, it will head back up. There's much less new Uno coming on the market.  At least 1k Uno less has been generated since the switch to Kgw/3 min. blocks last month. And the coinex dumping is over, I feel quite sure about that. That's probably what's contributing to these thin markets.

That's my take, what's yours? Love to hear what you guys think.

This might be interesting to some of you hardcore traders.... it's Wolong's "book" and he mentions Uno. Take it for what it's worth. The guy has an ego so large he loves to brag about how he operates (or is this just more deception... hmm?) Decide for yourself.... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=686525.0  I thought it was fun to read.

Summer in the northern hemisphere - many folks on vacation and away from trading.

Silver coins minted in 10 gram and/or 25 gram amounts would fit well with Unobtanium's 250,000 total supply.  1 troy ounce ~ 31.1 grams.  I'm unaware of the various challenges (technically and financially) in silver coin minting - and then throw crypto into the mix!!?

With silver, much like crypto - what do you do when the price becomes too great to purchase 1 full unit?  If silver increases to $60/oz, smaller fractional amounts could prove more affordable for many buyers.

It's rare.  It's fair.  It's Unobtanium.

I think 200 confirms has taken the mojo out of MintPal.

Cryptsy will run away with the Uno market if MP doesn't address this. No one, including me, wants to wait 10 hours for a deposit to clear - it just takes the fun out of it. I contacted them again today, asking for reconsideration.

what if mintpal doesn't tell the truth? Is it allowed to ask this question? What just happend on mintpal will make some waves for sure. Popcorn ready.

edit: if it turns out vericoin wasn't the target but mintpal itself it is totally unjustified to make a rollback. I would vote against that. They are responsible for their security. If they can't handle that then they should not operate. They can not repeat this.

edit: does mintpal pull a coinex? They had a bankrun after adding isiscoin. Then they claimed to not find blocks of btc-chain (look at their twitter). I mean: wtf? ... then they went into maintenance and then were hacked. I smell fish.

At first the word was 'vericoin' - then users asked question and then it was "vericoin, btc and ltc"- so why do they only tweet vericoin? And what has it to do with vrc? Why can't they say: "we were hacked and roll back the chain of vrc because we can"

man, man. Mintpal. If they can't take care about security they are out of buisiness. Can't fork all the coins because they lack security. Hotwallet/Coldwallet anyone?

also interesting he didn't go after DRK or BC

Seriously, i don't buy their story.

I wish I had time for a long post, but I can't right now.

My gut reaction is that this MP thing is a beta test for forking BTC in the future.  That would imply this is a test of power.  Like Antonopolis seems to suggest - BTC has been going dark, as in obscurred transparency.

Just off-the-cuff remarks.  Hopefully, I'll get to write a longer explanation of this comment later, today, and I should copy it to maybe some MP thread.  Anyone got a link to the appropriate forum thread?
