anyone else experiencing delays withdrawing UNO from cryptsy?  I have been waiting a few hours now for a w/d...

What volume? I w/drew three figures worth last night. it took about ten minutes...

just a mere 39 UNO
Ugh, I hope we're not back to withdrawal problems again

okay, all sorted out, no problems.  according to them, its just because I changed my password in the same visit that I made the withdrawal.  they're telling me it will automatically process later today (24 hours after pw change)

I think it will be wise to continue mining UNO, if nothing more than to keep the network running.

So if everyone who's mining UNO today were to stop mining, UNO would cease to exist and be worthless?

An important factor to keep in mind is the future value of UNO will be much greater than the current day's mining reward.  The value should go parabolic at some point.

That's my thinking as well, as I imagine is everyone else's here who is long UNO for the long haul (to the mUn!).  However, I have to reflect that we *are* in somewhat uncharted waters here.  Crypto is pretty new after all, LOL.

Yes, all of crypto is in unchartered water.
No, it won't cease to exist. In a worse case scenario, there are those of us here who will always mine Uno no matter what. Sha Asics are super cheap, and there's a lot of mining experience on this board.

You energy bill will be higher than the profit you make mining ...unplugged my antminer S1 a month ago .Just for heating the house i use it again Smiley .

That is the thing, even though i sold my s1s a long time ago because the power cost was too much for my taste, i would buy a sha to support uno if i had to, and really if uno does crazy well there is no reason for me not to. I expect the technology to become cheaper and more energy efficient over time. So while it is something you do need to consider as a possible what if, it is a circumstance that can happen in any coin, the network no long existing.

It is nice to see some more action in uno lately. The charts do look rather nice, the volumes are increasing in a lovely manner Cheesy

We can't grow when we won't criticize ourselves!

@ Seriously: thanks to the unpaid diligence of TT Bitcoin Charlie, an ounce of silver purchased with Unobtanium on Un-Ex is on its way across the world. Un-Ex lives!!

@ Unseriously: I see a world in which people will have wearable blades up their trouser legs, and they'll be sidling furtively about in offices and shopping malls, looking for a place to plug in.

Hey guys & gals,
For our 1 year anniversary, what were some of your "Favorite Posts" over the past year, either in this thread or over at Blazr's Uno launch thread?

Maybe there's something you read once that you thought was cool; if you can dig it up and share it with us, it would be fun to look back on our first year.

Please post a link to the post, and say why you enjoyed that post, we'll plan to tweet some of that and share on our Birthday.

Thanks,
FK

That's a very true statement. Please be sure to spread the word on your social outlets. I think with the fall of the price of Bitcoin,  people are going to be looking for alternatives that are not pump and dump. Especially given the fact that Unobtanium is convertible to a precious metal, makes it very attractive.

uno has been rising for 3 months and i predict it will be rising the next 3 months too. Maybe even longer if a lot of new investors come in.

Let's keep aiming at that stability we have been able to establish so well during the last 8 months.

... having one eye on the bitcoin, which seems to have found a bottom. Let's hope the buyers finally win over the sellers in bitcoin too.

I started making monthly UNO buys 3 months ago using $ to BTC to UNO.  I will continue making UNO buys monthly using extra $ (not rent $).  I did need to sell 425 UNO to bankroll other investments (sold at ~ 0.0045 on 9/22/14).  I think I will be making October UNO buy earlier in the month than I did with September  Wink.  I'm patient with UNO progress and have zero necessity to sell mucho UNO at this time.

Currently I'm holding 95% of my UNO as reserve and 5% is for trading, donations, crypto dice, etc...  I'm looking forward to 0.01 price and beyond.  New UNO investors have not missed the train.  I'm watching BTC price - and if it goes much lower... low price UNO could evaporate quickly.

many people seem not to understand how much Un is really off the market. Those orderbooks are real. Where is the supply? It is as gone as it can be. Gobbled up by the community over one full year. Everyone was able to accumulate for months with the coinex-incident and many smart investors did.
The coin is now exactly what it was designed to be: scarce
And it will be even more scarce as time passes.

Un is not a scam, it's a clean coin. That alone sets it apart from 90% of altcoins.
It has a solid fanbase and many longterm holders. It is being worked on and constantly improved in regards of its ecosystem.
The community is friendly and open.
It is probably one of the most hoarded altcoins right now and righteously so. It's a coin that you keep.
Its distribution is very good compared to other coins.
The hashrate will rise. It's a longterm winner, not just a one-week-coin.

Coins like Uno are the reason we are in crypto in the first place. Its potential isn't limited by anything.

...just my personal views on Un

Keep up the good work guys and i am sure Un will be going places, just like litecoin did.
It had a history of up and down but it'll be good in the end. Slow, but sure.  Wink

it behaves btw exactly like it was predicted so far: the higher it goes the bigger the demand. Can be quite an expensive coin later on if you think about a rising demand paired with a rapidly dwindling supply. But you know it, i don't have to preach it.  Wink

@ Prominerone: don't throw them out!

@ Sirsmokes -- I saw your avatar photo somewhere. You are Towelie!! Ian and I were talking about T-shirts that say, 'I have no idea what's goin' on.' [and 'I'm super cereal.']

@ V500. Ian and I so very often reach the same conclusions. Just today, we were saying that, once we get a fiat-UNO portal, we will shift beyond 'Btc/Uno.' Our base will be Uno/Au fiat and Uno/bullion and Uno/barter and Uno/various other cryptos. That is, we're beginning to see Uno as a 'sufficient base' for our crypto projects.

@IMZ
sure, exactly what i say: uno needs to be traded against every fiat currency possible. CNY, USD, EURO, RUR, AUD and so on.
Merchant adoption will follow the easier it is to exchange Uno to fiat and fiat to Uno.
I think first focus should be: make it as easy and conveniently to exchange as possible and as widely accessible as possible. The merchant adoption will happen spontaniously by itself once that infrastructure is in place. I think we don't have to go after merchants. They will just be starting to accept it once they feel comfortable with it. Bitcoin paves the way. We need to focus on accessibility and stability for now.

btw:
once great profits happen i am all for reinvesting parts of the money on the coin. I hope others think the same. This is a longterm thing. I want to see 1k$ for a coin in a few years time, not just dump it for pennies.

I could even imagine a community sponsored miningfarm (one time doantions) that would only be mining uno to secure the network and would pay for its own electricity. If it produces overhead we can use that for promotions. Just an idea for a future project.

The coin is totally marketable with that brand 'Unobtanium' - it is multifaceted. People will desire it for sure. Can go mainstream, no problem at all.
Needs some work to be done, but we can do it. Slow, but sure. Wink

Hope you others agree with most of that? Let's build something. Uno is among the first mover altcoins and the design is really good.

Crypto is like decentralized companies. If you think it is designed well: buy a share in it, do some work for it, give it some legs to walk on.
And with Uno it's extra easy because: low inflation , holds value very good.

What do you guys think about Android Wallet for UNO?

If possible, can somebody setup a bounty for it? I started working on it a while ago but only on my free time. If there is enough bounty I might put aside other thing and give it my full time.

Android wallet is needed of course. Not urgently but should be coming down the road for sure. You take donations, correct? Why not set up a donation-adress for it and people can just chip in a few coins over time, right?
Makes work easier for sure.
Android wallet would be great.

Sure I can put up a donation address, I am just more used to to getting paid after I can get the work completely done.

Here's my address if anybody willing to donate,

uM5Jvhvgoh8yNxpU5puUkmuc3ZcSUsvkGw

will try to get some screenshot posted as soon as I get back to work on it.

I did some work on OSX wallet earlier which got merge in to the main branch, and Philogus should be able to confirm that I really do work for real not just some scam wanting donation.

I'll send you a few coins now and a few coins when it's done. If 4 or 5 of the others do the same you'll have a good bounty, i think.
I trust you, you will be making a product. You didn't just show up 2 minutes ago, you have been around for a bit.
I think you get most donations after work is done anyways. Some tips now and more tips for a finished product, right?  Wink
