Tee hee hee . . . I feel like a minnow, watching and learning. Gonna put my whole stock of Btc -- 0.09 -- into Uno on Cryptsy. And have a look at this guys: http://focustaiwan.tw/news/awps/201410130006.aspxOne: should affect silver prices soon. Two: should affect crypto prices a bit later. Personal Opinion: we're goin' over the falls in a barrel. Question: I am holding off on Hedges because I (naively) expect Uno to lift a little for our birthday -- or have we 'levelled out' at this point? (in which case we can launch Hedges any time!) m

(in which case we can launch Hedges any time!) m Global indices have been in toppy territory for the past month or two- don't be surprised by a melt up before hand though. Sentiment is somewhat bubbly as well. It wouldn't surprise me to see silver sell off too if we see a correction this year. But that would be (in my opinion) a true bottom for the PMs and silver seems an excellent long term buy right now regardless of the couple bucks of downside potentially.

V500 take it easy man, maybe take some rest for now. I'll try to push in at least 5 BTC support in a few days. We need everybody to stay calm and work together as before. If people wants out, let them. Anything above 0.006 for now isn't bad at all in my opinion. It will be in stronger hand without doubt.
Plenty of UNO dumpage sold to savvy buy support. I expect it won't be long before 0.01 UNO/BTC is tested again. Reasonable to get sellers around that area who are looking to realize a gain from UNO purchased from ~0.005 range. Healthy for UNO to find stronger hands to settle into as it's maturing. It's good to see folks who are finding out about UNO have an opportunity to get decent amounts for $3-$4. I think there's a good chance that demand for UNO will increase with time, and with it, the price.

Big T S, my background in the GFC is elegantly sufficient -- but coming 'from the political' side not the commerce/bullion side. I would like to learn everything you can teach me about this, particularly as Hedges are a 'silver instrument.'

Not sure what you mean, if you mean that you have experience in the financial crisis? I'm not pretending to be an expert, I just have some opinions based on my own basic TA.

Big T S, I segued from studying peak oil in early 2007 to the GFC. Started writing occasional articles in 2012. My background in libertarian politics goes back to '82. This system had 'failure' written all over it even then . . . if you had the moxy to track down the info.
And first hand? I was a conflict journalist -- unpaid -- for 23 months during the insurrection in Jakarta in '98 and '99, and saw a great deal of truly ugly shit from right close up.

I bow to your superior experience then IMZ. I certainly agree with the assumption that the system is screwed. Why so long unpaid in Jakarta? I'd be interested to read some of your articles, would you mind PMing me the info? I don't want to go off topic for too long on this thread.

No no! B T S -- a bit more detail: as a devolutionist, an anti-parliamentarist, I have never ever ever bothered with what we would call 'reformist' politics. So, for me, the GFC is me with my nose pushed up against the glass, misanthropically wishing ill on all those who've treated me like a tin-foil-hat fool all these years. If you have a practical background in 'ordinary' commercial theory and bullion, I really am eager to learn. It's my assumption that silver and gold will be a better bet as Things Start Getting Really Ugly. I taught English for five and a half years in Jakarta. Spent the time as a journalist literally -- quite literally -- walkin' around, taking notes. I was a paid-up S.B.S.I. union member, and was the only foreigner to stay overnight in the occupied parliament building. These photos are woosy. You'd have been out of your mind to be walkin' around with a valuable camera where really serious shit was happening. I still have the thirteen journals. https://www.google.com.au/search?q=tragedi+kerusuhan+mei+1998&sa=X&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=667&tbm=isch&imgil=WsPgkOPs4Ce4mM%253A%253BgvncY5znmv1ZgM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fdanudika.wordpress.com%25252F2012%25252F08%25252F07%25252Fsepuluh-hari-yang-mengguncang-indonesia-tragedi-mei-1998-asiaweek-investigation-24th-july-1998%25252F&source=iu&pf=m&fir=WsPgkOPs4Ce4mM%253A%252CgvncY5znmv1ZgM%252C_&usg=__-SlRVHxtqJVRLXfMlAWhlKxOBCo%3D&ved=0CDgQyjc&ei=qKs7VJnsHoP58QXV1oHgBg#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=WsPgkOPs4Ce4mM%253A%3BiTmNh9hwVreLeM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fdanudika.files.wordpress.com%252F2012%252F08%252F20120808-004700.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fhadiay-sellambe.blogspot.com%252F2014%252F06%252Fsepuluh-hari-yang-mengguncang-indonesia.html%3B1023%3B637m

Seems we are cut from the same cloth. I gave up on traditional politics before I even knew what a Libertarian was. My analysis is largely based on very basic TA- looking at resistance support, oversold, overbought ect, and I temper most of my opinion by looking at sentiment and following market commentators that I have grown to trust such as: https://www.youtube.com/user/daytradeshowI think silver and gold are certainly good bets, but on a technical standpoint mainly. From around $22 downwards I've been of the opinion that silver is undervalued. I would not call my experience practical as I am a games developer by trade, just dabble in the markets and making these coins/bars too, I've only really started learning over the past 2 years, with the financial crisis a latent trigger and focal point for learning about the mess we are in. I'm more of the opinion that things will just grind down and continue to get worse before something radical happens in terms of where everything is going. I really hope that the world can wash the slate clean rather than insisting on the safety of an overpowered state.

Some dumping at this height is to be expected. It was a good setup for a whale and he took it, probably planning to buy back cheaper. He once liked Uno very much, and probably still does. Traders buy low & sell high, then repeat, right? I hope those who bought in 009 & 01 like me used the opportunity lower their average cost. I never put up any buy orders that I don't want filled. The long term trend is still intact, and Uno got rarer with last week's block halving. I know where this coin is headed. What I see on this chart is a repeat of that bump Uno got around August 1. It wasn't the end of the world then, and it isn't now. Nothing has changed, except a tiny number at Cryptsy and a couple tons of Un moved to better hands. Stay flexible. To every thing there is a season. I'm still willing to buy up to .01, but now the dumper has trained me to sit back and wait for his dumps. A wide spread not such a bad thing right now. If he's willing to sell down to .0045, I'm sure willing to buy at .005/.006 to shake out more Un. No hurry. As Wolong himself once said in a now-deleted tweet, "I have all the patience."

i stopped playing once we soared past 0.007, its obvious a 'small' group of people are manipulating others to snatch up periodic bunches of UNO - 'stick up little sell walls' stick em up! STICK EM UP!! MUNCH!
i was picking up a few UNO every day since launch with a few occasional splurges but since this shit i dont even bother.
its just depressing
@Edgar, I don't follow. What is depressing?
