It's a race between UNO and Ag for the next few months, isn't it?  UNO can take an early lead, but Ag can, and really should pop afterwards.  Wish I had a hedge or two, but I'm holding the 'abundance of caution' (like insurance), so can't.  Anyway, it's fun to watch, too.

The link should always be good for that, unless the whole industry runs out of inventory.  I've seen APMEX really low, but never empty.  They usually have a huge inventory of everything.

It's interesting that they stopped lowering their prices when Ag went below the $17 handle.  That's a very good signal that the bottom is in.

I think he said he's 40% sure the bottom is in, now, which actually isn't too great for the time being, but I only listen to the late free videos.

Let's see how merchants affect the market price - volume 1.
We got our first order worth of $425 incl. shipping - 10 gram of gold.
Apmex' cheapest price (via Check/Bank wire) with a volume discount (10 pieces) was $432 incl. shipping to US.

As for UNO market, we cleared the buy wall at 0.076 sat, at first (2014-10-21 03:35:17 - Cryptsy time)... bought/sold around 0.0725 - 0.079. There is general perception that merchants sell at the lowest buy price they could find, which is, in fact, utterly wrong. Some would do that but in general, they buy/sell at the optimal point. If we had hold our profits in crypto for the past 6 months, our revenue would be at least twice of it. (yeah, revenue! lol)

Now BTC is moving upside, but watch out UNO's USD value in coinmarketcap, in the next few days. According to my past experiences (~35,000 USD revenue of Coaex since it's launched), the volume created should have a positive effect on the market. A $425 order create at least 1.5x of it. This should push the market above 0.08 sat even though BTC slightly moved +USD 5. Let's see..

I think the perception of merchants cashing out to fiat right away is due to 99% of the world still using fiats. It is the logical conclusion really, that business accept the coins and cash them out. That is what makes me geek out a bit more on the people who sell precious metals. It is already familiar territory for them, i would imagine. I also like to think they are the types of people more inclined to see potential for value in items given the nature of the markets they deal in.

When i think of why metals are valuable, i think because there is a fixed amount, and because the fixed amount is constantly being depleted. Uno has half that, the fixed amount. I guess one could argue that people DO lose uno. Hdd failures and such. I don't think it is to the same effect. Now if someone was to offer a service further down the line where if they are holding uno, why wouldn't it be in their interest to say, sell something for uno, then destroy the uno the received for that something. That is assuming there is a heavy demand for uno to begin with. So much so that destroying the uno would raise the value of the uno you hold more than the potential profits you could make off the destroyed uno. It seems like market manipulation, but i dunno, more sinister maybe? More organic? Now no one gets them, mwahahaha. Bury me with my unos! lol

I have been mining since July 21st, buying since July 22nd -- at all kinds of prices, and I care not whither it goes for the short term.  I have not sold even a single part of a gram since I've been accumulating.  (I have, however, donated a few back to the community).

For the long term ... I am now reissuing to everyone here FK's challenge:  please surpass ME *now*, by leaps and bounds.  That "Red Monster" vs. the "Green Monster" staring at each other over the abyss on the Cryptsy "Depth" chart is hilarious, but really silly.  Folks, we can do this.  We know what UNO is.  Problem is, very few folks in the whole crypto universe have a clue of what UNO is.  

Has anybody approached Max Keiser about UNO, or is he too engrossed with StartCoin/GoCoin (or whatever it is) to pay attention? Has Bryce or Blazr2 ever been interviewed by Max?  Is UNO ever going to come out from being a small mushroom in the giant forest of cryptos with all those flashing lights like Etherium, NXT, etc.?
