The Premier League is indeed the most powerful league and is very difficult to predict, this reflects how the results of last night's match between Southampton and Everton, many who favored Everton will continue their positive trend against Soton, many even chose to bet on Everton, but the results were the opposite. Everton must accept their first defeat in the Premier League from Soton with a score of 2-0. The same thing happened with Arsenal having to be defeated by Leicester City thanks to Jamy Vardy's single goal in the last minute, Arsenal resumed their negative trend after being conquered by Manchester City last week, now they also have to experience the defeat of Leicester City.

I too belive that, EPL is very competitive, this season has been so more competitive, no club in EPL this season that has not lost in a match or two, but it is now surfacing back as Liverpool is claiming to being on the top list. Normally, Everton has lost and may find it hard to retain the first position. As for Arsenal, the game is not surprising to me because not that they are better than Leicester this season some kind and they can fuck up at anytime as usual.

Not the most entertaining game but this could be a sign of things to come as far as a relegation battle towards the end of the season is concerned. Brighton sit in 16th position and West Brom are 17th, both needs points to start climbing out of the relegation zone towards mid-table.

Tottenham are in 5th position in the table now, just 2 points away from first place. Burnley are joint bottom of the EPL with just 1 point alongside Sheffield United and Fulham.

Yes so far there have been many surprises what is clear is that Manchester City and Liverpool will not be having it as an easy race for the top two positions.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are now joint top of the EPL with Everton and Liverpool though they have played 7 games and the Merseyside teams have played 6 games each but all three have 13 points each.

Congratulations to Wolves for playing good possession football and reaping rewards at the end. Palace have 10 points so even with the defeat today they have a P7 W3 D1 L3 record and well placed to try to go for a Europa League place.

What a game!

Southampton were 0-4 up at after just 58 minutes but Villa started a fightback 4 minutes later and then had two penalty kicks in time-added-on which they scored to make it 3-4 but they just could not find that extra gear to equalise. Well done to Southampton for holding on and getting all 3 points.

Southampton now have P7 W4 D1 L2 and have 13 points which moves them in to a staggering 3rd place in the Premier League table on goal difference above Wolves and just a point behind them are Villa.

This season is already bringing more excitement than so many others before it because the so-called big teams are not exactly getting everything going their way and the smaller teams are fighting them all the way.

Everton were unable to grab an equaliser after they pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 though they had a lot of possession they could not get a point. Newcastle soaked up a lot of pressure before making it 2-0 and when the conceded the late goal they defended well to ensure they took 3 points.

What a game indeed! What a lovely comeback from Aston Villa. I wasn't expecting them to score up to 3 goals in that match against Southampton. Aston Villa didn't play like they wanted to win the match in 1st half. Upon it's their home match.

Furthermore Manchester United’s next match is against Everton, and this match is very crucial for Ole, because if Manchester United were to lose this game too then Woodward will be forced to sack Ole.

Here are the EPL games taking place this evening:

Fulham vs West Bromwich Albion
Leeds United vs Leicester City

Both will be intriguing games because Fulham and West Brom will probably be part of a season long relegation battle. Neither team has done anything of significance so far and they really look like they will struggle to stay in Premier League alongside Sheffield United and couple of other teams.

Leeds and Leicester will be trying to fight for a European all season and this match will be worth watching because Leeds are becoming the favourite team for neutrals as they play excellent attacking football and keep possession of the ball for long periods. Leicester with Vardy up front always have a chance and without him they seem toothless most of the time. He will be playing but not sure if he will be on the bench to start with.

Of course Vardy will play in this match. I'm not sure Vardy should come off the bench because in the previous game against Arsenal he was the hero of Leicester's win by one goal. I think he will be the coach's first choice for the game against Leeds United.

Meanwhile, Leeds United are looking pretty good with 10 point so far from the 6 matches played. If Leicester City lose then I think Leeds United will be above them. But not sure Leicester City will lose tonight.
