Newcastle just secured their position in the top4 spot and now above Nottingham. Winning crystal palace by 5 goals was a bold statement from a team that wants to qualify for the champions league. Crystal palace never stand a chance in this game. From the first half, they already lost the game as they couldn't keep up to Newcastle. Isak getting the last goal of the game means all front three of Newcastle squad scored in this game which is crazy. Isak has been so good this season, he has been on top form and I'll be suprise if he's still a player of Newcastle by next season because I think a lot of clubs will be coming for his signature.

Man he just won the league cup and they're playing champions league football next season, who in his right mind would move at this point of his career? Has manager that trust and believe in him, the attack is built around him. Except his moving to another stable projects like Arsenal or Liverpool.

Chelsea or Manchester United move would stall his career.

Newcastle United 5-0 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace suffered a massive defeat. Newcastle United have to be one of the favourites to finish the season in a Champions League position. Yjeu are now just four points behind second place Arsenal and are two points above fourth place Nottingham Forest.

Realistically, Liverpool and Arsenal will occupy the first two Champions League places therefore there are five teams fighting for the remaining three Champions League spots: Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, Chelsea and Aston Villa.

Yes, I don't think Newcastle scored 5 goals and hit Crystal with a score of 5-0, this also happened when Man City vs. Crystal with a score of 5-2, but they had a chance to reply to 2 goals but not for their Newcastle until they could not breathe.
I remember very well when J. Murphy scored the first goal in the 14th minute 'and followed by M. Guehi 38' Next H. Barnes 45 ',. Schär 45 'and finally by A. Isak 58' I think Newcastle only scored 3 goals, but not 5 winning goals for Newcastle.

I am also curious tomorrow between Bournemouth vs. Crystal Palace whether Bournemouth can finish the match with a beautiful score like the Newcastle team did.

And it's pretty impressive how Eddie Howe got his squad to grind out that third spot after being out of the top 4 for a decent part of the season.

As for the matches this week end, Brentford vs Brighton is interesting due to their owners' past history.  Everton vs City is also interesting for obvious reasons.    Everybody should watch Aston Villa vs Newcastle, Fulham vs Chelsea is a good match and everybody should watch the rest of Nottingham Forest's games this season.

Manchester City travel to Everton. Keeping in mind how Moyes has transformed Everton, I think they will win the game. Aston Villa and Newcastle United are trying to finish the season in the Champions League place therefore this will be a great game to watch.

With 5 fixtures left to play, pretty sure that last spot in the top 4 is still wide open.  But if it were up to me, I'd like to see Nottingham Forest get it.  They deserve it.

Aston Villa has Newcastle, Man City, Bournemouth and Fulham in their remaining games.

I didn't consider his weekly salary; he earns much too little for a striker of his calibre, earning less than an average bench player at Chelsea and Manutd.

Newcastle has the richest owners, but what is the point if they cannot spend?  I'm sure if he receives a nice offer in the summer, he'll move unless he wants to be in debt by the age of 30.

M.City won the away match against Everton with 2 goals scored in the last 6-7 minutes of the match. M.City was the better side.

With these match results, the point difference between 3rd and 6th place in the league has become very close.
There are only 5 matches left until the end of the league and the points after this are very important for these teams.

Big advantage but not for us, since we can't stop conceding.  Tomorrow there are good chances we're going to conceed more and score less. Our source of goals and assists ( Palmer) is on a long 12 games drought and no one is creating. I don't see how we're going to beat Fulham tomorrow. Newcastle United and Mancity are now favourites.

Chelsea won by a late comeback today maybe but I will still keep having my doubts about their Champions League chance. Because I don't like the way they play recently to be honest. Besides Forest can still take the 5th position from them if they defeat Tottenham tomorrow. I really like Aston Villa these days. Their big win over Newcastle was impressive. Emery's team is out of the Champions League and focused on finishing in top 5 to rejoin the tournament next season. I think they can do this with this form.

His current deal goes until 2027, and there's a good chance he'll receive an extension offer next season to raise his release clause.  He has already won a trophy this season, and he might easily use it as a reason to pursue a new challenge if a huge offer comes his way. However, I agree with you that if Newcastle qualify for the Champions League next season, he would most likely stay and not make a move in the summer.

Wasn't impressed with our game against Fulham but we took an important point to keep our CL hope alive.

The results from the games yesterday once again showed how Arsenal want to close the gap on Liverpool (even though Liverpool won too) and how Chelsea are trying to make sure they qualify for the Champions League. Manchester United have to win the Europa League to make up for a dismal season because their Premier League form deserves relegation.

Tottenham have to consider sacking Postecoglou after a disastrous campaign even if they win the Europa League.

This was an important win for Nottingham Forest because they are in serious contention to play Champions League football if the finish the season in the top five. hey have moved up to third place in the table again. Just three points separate Nottingham Forest in third and Aston Villa in seventh.

To make matters more interesting, two of the teams play this evening:

Athletic Bilbao are usually a nightmare for them in Europe, but I've seen Bilbao games this season and they're not as special as they were last season; if United replicate their last performance against A. Bilboa, they'll easily win the tie, and neither Tottenham nor Bodo can stop them in the final.  I just wanted to let you know that I will be supporting Athletic Bilbao. You already know why 

Winning the Europa League and qualifying for the Champions League next year from mid-table can be regarded a successful season, regardless of league position right...
