Of course, after a large asteroid falls to earth, it will be very difficult to pay the winnings to those who predicted and bet on the asteroid's fall. But I don’t know, maybe the authors of the project will succeed. (of course this is a joke).
The most important forecast that BTT users are interested in is of course the
BTC rate in 1/2/4... years. This is probably the main interest in this forecast.
But I love that people use these long-term prediction games.
And yet, how are things going with the forecast for 100 years and inheritance of the winnings ? Microstrategy has recently bought a lot of
BTC and claims that it will not touch them for 100 years, so how will they win, or will it all go to waste ?
Yes, we will be adding some markets about Bitcoin soon! Remember you can always suggestion specific markets here:
https://futuur.com/i/feedback/suggestionWhat legal license you are holding for operating gambling game since you are using Bitcoin now that has value? Its cool to bet on a long term prediction because of "sell bet" feature that might increase my bet value overtime. I didn't try to bet using BTC currency but is the odds still the same?
Is this a P2P game which winner will split the losers bet? Its fun to bet on the future science event though but are offering an insane prediction like will human will land to Mars on 2024 that's why I ask if its P2P because I'm sure that only few people will bet on Yes.
Good questions! We are licensed for real-money wagering in Curaçao. You can
confirm our license here.Regarding Odds, they can be different between Ooms (play-money) and Bitcoin markets, because these markets operate in parallel and are not connected. As you say, this is a type of P2P system where odds are determined entirely by the buyers and sellers in the market, similar to an order book model (like betfair) but using our Automatic Market Maker for instant liquidity.
I visited your FAQ page in order to understand how your platform works, I can see that it was started from play money before offering a real money in predicting the market.
I am pretty curious how the predicting will works or how we can win in your platform. Most of the details in FAQ are only details about bitcoin, deposit and withdrawal but I didn't see any useful information on how we can start betting in your platform as I am quite new to this kind of gambling. And lastly is there any way how we can check the fairness of the game?
Thanks
We are always adding to our FAQs, so please let us know if there are specific questions we can add there.
The basic steps are simple:
1) Register
2) Add some bitcoin to your account
3) Make a bet on the outcome of future events at the share price (odds) indicated
4) If that outcome occurs, you win!
Regarding fairness, we do not have any blockchain based, "provable fairness" component. We have opted to focus on excellent user experience, quality + quantity of markets, and maximally competitive odds, rather than taking the decentralized, blockchain-based approach. That said, we are committed to transparency and are exploring ideas around "progressive decentralization", which could well include provable fairness components.
This is a cool site, how has it existed since 2018 and I didn't know it yet?
Impressive the diversity of predictions that goes from sports to Mars, this is magnificent.
I visited the site and started to explore the possibilities, some so far from being realized that I thought: do I have to wait all this time?
Then, going back to bitcointalk I found that I can sell my bet, this is very nice.
Congratulations on the site!
Thanks!!!
I had received 1 mBtc bonus registered on this site and played some sports matches in the past, got a winning, and sell some of my games for little profit. I withdrawing 2mBtc and received 1.6mBtc into my wallet. I also still have a balance and hope they create another game like before.
Congrats on the win! Yes, our payments processor charges a .4 mBTC withdrawal fee. We are working on adding other coins with lower transaction fees.
I really love the site, but I would love if you can add a filter through which we can select events on base of their result timing. Like I have seen a bet which will show its result in 2024, while bets on US election expires on 2020. Would love to have bets sorted by their expiring time.
Thanks, great suggestion! We are going to be adding sort and filter options to all results pages, but you can currently sort by Bet End Date on the Search > Questions tab (there's a somewhat hidden Sort/Filter icon on the right hand). Here's a direct link:

The bets which expires in 2 - 3 years times are useless because its like we are investing money in the bet which will be released after 3 years when the bet result is declared. I will prefer bets which have duration between 1 - 6 months and not more than that.
Remember that you can sell your bets at any time, so if you buy when the price is right and sell when it goes up, you can make a short term profit on long term events

Yes this type of sorting will be very useful. Secondly, Futuur has good variety of bets on almost all of the events which are happening in the world related to politics, science, business & finance and entertainment also and it not only limited to sports betting. This is indeed a good place to make a bet on any of your favorite event.
Thanks! As mentioned above, this is currently possible on Search > Questions tab.
I love the clean and slick design of your site overall. Mobile app availability is a plus point. I like the name of the site too. I advise advertising your site through a signature campaign etc here on Bitcointalk in order to attract more gamblers.
However, long term bets won't be taken seriously since I doubt anyone would want to wait for a couple of months or years to learn the results.
Thanks! Yes, we are planning on doing a signature campaign shortly -- stay tuned!
Regarding the long term bets, remember that you can always sell your position at any time, you don't need to wait for the market to be resolved.
very interesting prediction website/project!
I like the free part of the game... since these coins have not value by itself (social capital) why not add some prize for top leaderboard or a monthly competitions?
These data collected will be sold or used for some publications?
Thank you! Yes, we occasionally do offer prizes for the top sports on our Ooms leaderboards, and will be doing more competitions like this in the future.
No, we don't sell any data. The data that is visible to you (price of an outcome over time, for instance) is the same data that's available to everybody else. Our earnings come entirely from a small commission on bets, similar to a traditional sportsbook.
