Can this miner be used to mine Zcash on slush?

Can you make money using a quad-core i7 CPU or are only GPUs efficient?

Hot time, summer in the city, back of my mine getting hot & gritty!!!

No the GUI miner can't be used for Zcash on Slush, the external pool option, as it says, is for Cryptonote coins only Smiley
You can also NOT use the main interface, as there is no option, they mentioned it while ago, but idk, seems like that never came to life Sad

You can definitely make money using a quad core i-7, i mined BCN for the last few months on minergate and looks, huge pump, bam! profits Smiley
Some mine AEON quite profitably on minergate as well i hear.
GPU's are better of course tho Smiley

Their support SUCKS and so do the returns.

Genesis and Nicehash are better (for cloud mining services).

Just about every other pool is better for pool mining with your own hardware. After you learn how to use console miners there is no reason to stay at Minergate, since you can join a pool that pays you out directly and frequently.

Also you will get everything in your account stolen if you dont have 2 factor authentication, because their website is that insecure.

Avoid.

Yes, you can! You may use Claymore GPU miner or other GPU miners.

Minergate support is garbage, they always have issues, they keep on changing things and each time they change they fuck up somehow. Withdraws take forever man. Miningpoolhub, suprnova.cc all the way!!!

Uncomformed balance is a balance that has been mined but not confirmed if the mined block has been attributed to minergate - if more than one miner/pool mines the same block, the reward is only allocated to one of them.
There is also an additonal threshold added to minergate - they will only add funds to your balance when they reach a certain minimum level. The level isn't too high for most coins...

Hi everyone,

This is my experience with minergate:

Before turning on 2FA and email confirmation, my account was logged in by IP's in Russia and Ukraine and it was cleaned out. I use only strong, generated passwords.
After mining a bunch of AEON I initiated a transaction to an exchange and it didn't go through. I checked the blockchain explorer and it didn't register at all. I opened a ticket 2 days later and I got a response that the AEON network was busy. I initiated another transaction that went through so I replied with the details and I was told that the issue was forwarded to the technical team. This was over a month ago and I have yet to receive any response to my repeated inquires about the status of the ticket.

Since that I have moved on to mining on other pools with other miners. For example I have started mining XMR with an open source miner and I'm seeing a 50% increase in hashrate, and very consistent hashrates. Overall my income has DOUBLED (strange right?).

I don't want to point fingers, but just try an alternative and you won't be disappointed.

Regards
