Hi! Thanks for your question. We would like to stress out that MinerGate is built by our team without any use of opensource cryptonote-universal-pool, which is used on majority of other mining pools. MinerGate supports smart penalties for invalid shares – https://minergate.com/faq/invalid-shares-policy. With this policy MinerGate makes unprofitable all actions by dishonest miners. In short, you can relax and rely on MinerGate!

The error people have been talking about (and experiencing, including myself) leads to bad shares, which reduces payouts you'd otherwise get. "Cannot convert blob data" is almost a direct correlation to bad shares.
Other pools don't have this problem.

Minergate pool efficiency is extremely low.

Yeah getting that... Dwarf really needs a DuckNote pool. I do like the minergate UI and website, but if the backend isn't there, it really doesn't matter. Seems like the more people are on the pool, the more bad shares I get (DuckNote is a good recent example of that). It also looks as though once the difficulty ratchets up I get a lot of expired blocks as well. You're looking at like a 15%-20% reduction in efficiency compared to other pools.

I would like to add, when I switch pools and remove all my miners from Minergate it eats the 'unconfirmed' balance. It just disappears and doesn't move to the confirmed balance. Although the balance is usually pretty small, it is definitely something I've noticed over the last few months I've been mining there.

The Minergate GUI miner is pretty damn good, its only miner that actually works with my 560ti for mining Cryptonight.

Have you tried https://minergate.com/altminers/ccminer ? Works perfectly for my TI.. As for the GUI, sure it looks pretty. Does it perform as other miners? Sure.. Does the minergate server POOL software work properly? Hell no.

I'm a noob at Minergate so maybe this has been answered or a dumb question.
Is it possible to merge mine 2 different coins that I want instead of Fantom Coin + another or MCN + another? For instance could I merge mine XMR + XDN?
|
If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks

That is not possible. Is it a blockchain issue or pool set up? Just curious.

For a coin to be able to be merge mined, it needs to be designed with that ability / functionality. Therefore the only 2 coins (currently) that can be merge mined is FCN or MCN.

I can't find the web widget for dashcoin mining Currently MinerGate supports web-mining for Bytecoin, Monero, FantomCoin, QuazarCoin, DarkNote and MonetaVerde. We will add DashCoin in near future. -- Best regards, MinerGate.com

My CPU miner keep saying cannot connect to pool. I'm using Claymore CryptoNote CPU Miner v3.3 Beta and my settings are correct too. But I can successfully mine via web.

Question about GPU mining XMR. I've been running it, it's hashing away - but it never finds a share. I look on the Minergate site, says my hashrate is 0, not connected. So I turn on the CPU and it starts getting shares from that - but doesn't acknowledge the GPU. Just wondering if it will 'ever' submit a share like that. I don't want to leave it for 8 hrs, come back and have wasted all those cycles. I looked in the logs and they said nothing unusual. I tried switching to a few diff coins and I believe LTC responded and I got a share or 2, but all of the CN coins don't. I'm on my office network, runs a NVIDIA GRID K520 via Citrix Xen Desktop. Sorta like Amazon...
