I think it is safe to invest in some top altcoins like ETH, LTC, BCH, XRP etc. If you invest in these altcoins, you can make a lot of profit. Before investing, you should take some times to track that altcoin. However, the rank of Altcoin is always changing. You must invest in top altcoin.

My opinion is to avoid investing in those new altcoin projects showing up these days. Most of them are probably a scam. Not all new altcoins are scam but you must do deep research about their project.
I prefer investing top 10 of the altcoin in coinmarketcap rankings because their project has always some updates.

Maybe if you look thoroughly at their project. You can look out for their whitepaper, roadmap, developers, will they able to reach their hard cap/soft cap and more significant data that will determine if the project is good or not. It is worthy to invest in altcoins because unlike bitcoin altcoins have higher volatility rates, however, bear in mind that the higher volatility the riskier it is. There are good altcoins but they are numbered and hard to find that even myself having a hard time finding them.

Of course, it's safe to invest in some alts, in the one you mentioned or some other, each of us have some favorites! To me (and maybe I am too long in crypto) this headline sounds stupid, like there is one alt or that all alts are the same, I am not sure how to think this headline?! Anyway there are many good alts, they are around for years, they are building their reputation trough good and bad periods, that is visible if you know where to look!
I don't wish to single out any alt, I strongly believe there are many good ones. Some of them are expensive already (and probably will be more in the future), some of them are making their name, and they have good chances for success in the long run! Which one is your favorite should be your decision based on your research, find the one you like and stick to it, believe in it and in the end (or beginning) support it!

I don't guarantee this, but to minimize the risk of loss invest only in top altcoins or use stable coins like USDT. Investing in crypto is actually not safe, there are many risks in it, but you have to be careful and it is important that you also be able to manage your finances well or not invest in bad projects.
