Same here, I love him as a figher but not as a politician with big ambition to become a president, and I think we are just speculating beacuse I never head that he announce he will run for presidency. No one could beat President Duterte as now he is the most popular person in the Philippines.

Why? Is his political track record that bad? If he wants to run for the president, then let him do it. Philippines is a democratic country and any adult citizen can run for the presidency. Here in India, we have a former tea seller as the prime minister (the presidential post is largely ceremonial). The fact that Manny is not a career politician should not be held against him. IMO, ordinary politicians are much better than career politicians.

People in the Philippines knows which candidate is the best, if you follow the journey of Pacquioa, you would not think that he is fit to a higher position than the senate. Kindly read this one...

Why Duterte's approval rating stands at 91%
after they have a good president, the standard of the Filipinos has been uplifted and they now have a high expectation, higher than the capability of the current president and I guess whoever the current president will endorse will win.

Each country is different so I do not know how things work on the Philippines, but if Manny wants to run for president he will at some point in time do it, now maybe he losses and that is fine, if the citizens of the Philippines have a good president and now they expect more from their leaders then there is nothing wrong with that, to my knowledge it is very difficult to make the transition of being a sports celebrity to a politician but it can be done if people are tired of their leaders, but with an approval rating so high it will be difficult for Manny to win in the case he makes a run for the presidency.

Well.. I have heard about Duterte and I know that he has insanely high approval ratings. But Manny is just 42 years old. What if he is planning to run for the post of president after 5, 10 or even 15 years? Rodrigo Duterte is 76 years old and I don't think that he will remain in office for very long. He has already completed five years in office and I would say that he is not going to stay as president after 2026. By then Pacquiao will be 47 years and he will be having enough experience in the field of politics as senator.

Even though the approval rating is high but doesnt mean or give out guarantees that it can really give out the chance for him to become president or people would really be voting him.

Not to discriminate but it would be better if he wouldnt really be wishing up to go with those high ranking position on a certain countries officials specially on being a president.

Someone who had been on politics should really be put up and fully aware on how things circling around not on sports but literally in economic area and this isnt something
that he can handled it well.

Sure there will be a demand from Pacquiao in terms of monetary and share that he wants to get if ever there will be a fight other than this match against Crawford. The $10M offer for Terrence, it's still in negotiations and having said that this match might happen soon, we can only hope that there really is a negotiation that happens on the side of both boxers. But with Pacquiao, he's always on the go whoever his promoter picks his opponent.
If Pacquiao doesn't have any plans to retire yet, I think that he should go with this fight because there will be more fight that is going to happen in the future with a lot of new generation fighters aspiring to fight him and I think that he still has the spark in it, not to mention that the money that Pacquiao is going to receive is definitely going to be big.
It's already confirmed that he's not yet going to retire and that's why coming from his camp, he will really have a fight for this year. But the fight hasn't been confirmed if it's going to be with Terrence or with another boxer of their choice. It will all depend on those boxers that they've challenged.
With his few remaining years of his boxing career, he'll get the most from the promoters before he retires, that's for sure.
If those words came out then he wouldnt definitely retire after this fight or into the next. For sure that retirement announcement will just pop out on the time we least expecting.
So why people are really in a rush on talking about retirement if the boxer doesnt have any plans for them to do so?It might be the right time for others eyes but the Manny
does know on what he's capable off and he know if he can still fight up or the right time for him to rest but for now he decided to proceed on with  this career.
It's been a long time since her wife talked to the public and said that she's been telling him that he should've retired but he's not yet going to do that.
Because if he's already into it, he has already retired a long time ago and there will be no rumors about matches and also, he's announced that profit that will be made on the fight that he'll make will be used to help people who are badly affected by the pandemic.

Wow that might be a fighting president there in case the administration give him the blessing, but for now lets talk about
this upcoming possible fight, the presidency still have another year to talk but this fight is just waiting for the schedule and
we all wanted to see him inside the ring showcasing his skills and talents.

Looking to see some good teasers for this fight to attract more fans and gamblers to push things up.

Got your point in here mate but i think the capacity of a person to run a country doesn't increase as he aged. Our country at the moment does not need a religious and forgiving leader as this is very prone with abuse. What we need is a leader with an iron will and willing to fight the oligarchs that seems to make our previous president a puppet. Pacman will not be president, people have learned their lessons.

Back to the topic, they are contemplating a June 5 date in Abu Dhabi for this fight and if this pushes through, i'm predicting a knockout win by Crawford.

That's a non bias prediction mate, but I'll bet on the other side, maybe not a knock out win by Pacquiao but if Crawford will aways be aggressive and will try to KO Pacquiao, then I guess we will see a good fight and Pacquiao might win a KO. I know it's quite difficult knowing how strong and good Crawford is, but I have no doubt of Pacquiao because he is a legend and he knows he can beat whoever opponent he choose.

And this is what makes him great and been loved by his fellow countrymen and impresses other nationalities as well when it comes to in-kind or charitable works without being forced
or just for the purpose of some show-off or publicity and this man isnt just great on boxing but also has a good heart that do really have concern into those people who are really
in need.About retirement then why people are really in a rush about such situation? If he do still likes to fight then let him be.Its his own body and he does know on when to stop.

The fight must happen this year, Pacquiao needs funding for his campaign whether he is going for the vice presidency or the presidency, he needs the win and the funding,

He can manage to support his campaign funds on his political rally even without the upcoming fight lol. That fight has nothing to do with politics so I don't understand why it came up to your mind. Cheesy

There's a lot of deal and negotiations that didn't happen because of the pandemic so Pacquaio is really scheduled for a fight one or thrice more once the pandemic situation got handled or if the fight is possible to push through. He's almost a done deal before with McGregor but the latter loses on his last fight making Team Pacquaio found another opponent.

If team Manny Pacquiao is waiting for Conor McGregor to win again then he might need to wait for a much longer time as i do not see him winning even in the rematch against Dustin. It is a fact that Conor McGregor has the potential to attract audiences and even if he lost a fight in MMA does not mean he cannot attract a crowd and that is the show they are looking forward and he will earn more money than facing any boxer.

Let's hope to see that it will happen this June or even later, wouldn't complains. It's possible that Pacquiao could get knockout if he gets careless himself. But if he get Crawford early like he did on the Thurman fight, maybe Crawford will respect Manny.

Manny is losing some gas going on round 10th and up, it shows in his last fight and Thurman was able to capitalized it. But Manny has the experience here, so it will be very close if the fight goes to 12 rounds. Crawford is known for being a slow starter but once he heats up in the middle round, he can hurt Manny. Let's wait for the official announcement first though, but this is a very intriguing and a hard fight for Pacquiao.

I agree that Pacquiao is already rich and has good connections regarding his political affairs. So it is wrong to argue that Manny Pacquiao needed
a lot of money for his campaign in the world of politics. Manny Pacquiao is back in boxing because he loves boxing and partly for charity events.
So don't think about Manny Pacquiao boxing anymore because he needs money for a political campaign. For Manny Pacquiao vs McGregor the fight
was not carried out after McGregor lost to Dustin Poirier. Sean Gibbons as manager of Manny Pacquiao said he was not interested in scheduling
the fight between Manny Pacquiao and McGregor. Due to McGregor's defeat, Manny Pacquiao's team is now focused on finding another fighting opponent.

LOL.. a win for Terence Crawford.. and that too by KO? I understand that Terence Crawford is a very good boxer. But I have checked his professional record and all of his wins came against little known opponents. You can say that Amir Khan was an exception, but when the fight happened (2019) he was in decline and was no match for Crawford. Fighting against Pacquiao is going to be much tougher for Crawford.

And this is what makes him great and been loved by his fellow countrymen and impresses other nationalities as well when it comes to in-kind or charitable works without being forced
or just for the purpose of some show-off or publicity and this man isnt just great on boxing but also has a good heart that do really have concern into those people who are really
in need.
Everybody loves him being him. But I wouldn't continue to discuss about it because there will be sort of politics towards it.

About retirement then why people are really in a rush about such situation? If he do still likes to fight then let him be.Its his own body and he does know on when to stop.
It is because he has already that much and has made a lot for himself and for the country. Like what we're thinking, if we've got tons of money as he did, we'll be well off retiring and won't think a lot  that much.

You guys feel the same?

Smith: Scared Pacquiao Will Get Knocked Out By Crawford

maybe let us calm down because Pacquiao would not challenge Crawford if he has not plan to win.
Why are they afraid of what will happen to Pacquiao here, are they underestimating him?

Lol, you only checked his record? Have you not watched a Crawford fight?

If you are a hardcore boxing fan, you certainly can appreciate the talent of Crawford. He may not yet in his prime but he is close to that while Manny is fading away. You could clearly see the depreciation of Manny's endurance in the Thurman fight. In the second half of that fight, Manny gassed out and absorbed too many blows, ATH in his career and if not for that early knockdown, he could have lost that fight.

With a bigger Crawford, Manny is in for the beating, for sure many would argue with me but that is how the way i see it and i would put my money on my speculation.

Well.. there is always a possibility. Crawford is in his prime and he will pose a very tough challenge to Pacquiao. But I remember the Thurman vs Pacquiao fight, and the same was said at that time as well. A few weeks before the match, Thurman was the overwhelming favorite, with odds ranging from 1.4-1.6. But Pacquiao won the fight despite his disadvantages (with from and age). The lesson is to never underestimate Pacquiao.

^ No, Crawford is a challenger here and I think Terence Crawford would accept the offer. I am also not sure how it works but it seems like there is a deal under the table here. Besides, the point that you were able to fight against Manny Pacquiao win or lose you still be considered as a legend.
However, Manny is still in good shape even though is a little bit older than the average. But if Crawford’s talent if ranges around 3.5million USD and 10 million USD that has been offered by Manny Pacquaio will be his highest cut during his lifetime. Nevertheless, it would probably that will be enough to grab the offer.
