Very happy for Lando he is such a good dude.
Verstappen said it will be a dry race even if the radar says otherwise.

Anyway, for sure it will be a fun race to watch if they don't touch at the start with Leclerc and Max at the end of the grid we will see a recovery.

With no rain, it will be probably an easy win for Hamilton.

With the way the grid is looking maybe putting a bet on Hamilton maybe not such a bad idea.
The odds could be worthwhile for this race where anything can happen and the bookies know it!

Somehow, the race calendar was picked up incorrectly.  
Now we need to compete in Italy or somewhere warmer.

It did occur to me that maybe, just maybe, this was done like this on purpose, to have a bit more interesting races too.
I mean, there are plenty of great drivers there, but on a dry track it tends to be boring... On the other hand, a bit of rain has the potential to bring a bit of drama, a bit more interesting race and results.
For now, I can say that I'm pleasantly impressed by the look of the starting grid.

Good idea!  Perhaps it is correct that the organizers are counting on "wet" races?  And rightly here above someone writes that "dry" is still more boring and monotonous than in bad weather conditions.  It is also interesting to see how to chase if there is suddenly hail.  
 And in Sochi, by the way, according to the forecast, there could be hail

If there is a hail then this race can making it very interesting.
Are driver's prepared to deal with flying balls of ice hitting their helmet and making them lose their concentration?

FYI, FTX has their logo on the Mercedes team F1 right where the driver's enter the car seat.

It's a shame for Norris, he gambled a lot and wanted to do it like Brad Binder, but the slicks didn't work for Norris. Fantastic for Verstappen from 20th on the grid to 2nd, a remarkable performance. And not to forget Kimi with 8th place. Apparently the new Ferrari engine didn't make the expected difference either.

Hamilton wins the Russian grand prix and in fine form.
This makes him the centurion winning his 100th race.
Congratulations to him as he did infact recover from a very poor outing in qualifying the day before.
Having crashed into the wall while going into the pit and then spinning out before the race ended resulting in a out of time.

yeah Norris was absolutely great in this race as he managed to stay leading the race for so long and if tge rain didn't come he would more likely to have stayed as a winner,
When this started raining he took a gamble not to put in as he could lose the win for Hamilton I don't blame him because last race he was the reason for Ricciardo winning at Monza and he thought it should be his this time.
But it rained hard and made it very slippery to keep the car from going off track.
Anyway Maclaren are showing that they are improving well and their win at Monza was not a struck of luck they are more likely to challenge for more wins in the remaining races.
As for Ferrari I think the new engine was a bit better Leclerc was not trailing behind Verstappen when he was right behind him and I think that he also took a gamble not to switch to Intermediate as he was at some point 3rd or 4th when drivers started changing tires and he was very late to make the switch.

That race was very thrilling to watch from start to finish! Well at the end, it was still Lewis and Verstappen for P1 and P2 respectively; and Sainz was the one who was able to retain his position. I think what separated Lewis from Norris is the experience during a wet track. Lewis was able to control the car on the corner on lap 51 which resulted to Lando's losing on his position.

Nevertheless, there is indeed a great future ahead of Lando but congratulations for Lewis Hamilton for reaching 100 wins on his F1 career!

I was so sorry for Lando... what a hearthbreaking lesson... he was exaggeratedly overconfident and the rain was much heavier than he would have been expecting.
For those only seeing the result, it's "meh, same old story", but what a race! Interesting strategies for all and a lot of overtaking. Plus the drama at the end. It was a real pleasure to watch.

What a race! Once more rain knew exactly where to come and the race came alive more than it already was. I feel so bad for Norris but at his age he thought that his team call for box was a mistake so you really can't blame him for being stubborn because at his age , probably we will all have done the same with so few laps remaining. I'm also glad for Sainz and Ferrari for scoring a podium but once more the strategist from Ferrari didn't knew how to manage Sainz in 1st place as he should have made the undercut as soon as he had those 2.5 seconds in front.

He did great races and performed excellently, and the most thing I liked was the consistency in performance with 15 races within the points until the Hungary race.
As for my personal opinion, among the current drivers Norris, I had the third best driver after Max because of his calmness, stability, talent and humility, but after the Monza race and today's race, Norris definitely came to be the second best driver in my opinion.
He will have a great future, and among all the wonderful talents that we have, is it a season, Norris will be the difficult equation.
As for Sainz the undercut wouldn't worked for him at all because I don't think he would gained the 1st spot back if he pitted when he was ahead because he would have been dragged down by the cars that will be infront of him and Norris would have key making better laps as we have seen that when he was doing the same time or sometimes better then sainz who got fresher tires.
Anyway it would all could have been mixed at the end of the race when the track was very wet.

Norris is still young blood and getting the chills when you are almost about to win at this age is kind of normal. You cannot blame him for this. He still has a long time to show the world what he is capable of. As for me, Hamilton is the best driver of all seconded by Max and maybe I will put Bottas as my 3rd best driver who will be followed by Norris in the 4th pace. Norris is a talented driver no doubt, but maybe sometimes the lack of experience or should I say less experience than others has a drawback on him but I believe he eventually overcomes that and moves forward.

This Sochi race was definitely a high-strung one. This was an exciting match which would compensate for the 2-week vacation we are kind of getting. Rain was a great change of wind in this match. Though Hamilton won this one but maybe if the rain hadn't come, Lando would have gotten his first ever win. But it is what it is, he finished 7th and Max surprised me the most. He had those penalties and started last only to finish up 2nd. Incredible stuff. Eagerly waiting for the race in Russia.

yeah especially in the starting lap and the couple last those laps deserves to see the onboard for every single driver that raced.
Especially Alonso as I belleive he was one of 3 that chose not switch to intermediate and he stayed on slicks still finished 6th ahead of Norris in Sochi.
Leclerc Flying start is also one to watch as the director for filming didn't show how Leclerc gained like 7 positions in the couple first laps.
We didn't get to see Max and Hamilton get a wheel to wheel in this one, probably for the best as it could have been another disaster for either of them which is going to heats things up especially off track.

In any case, rain and Norris decided not to complicate Hamilton's task much with attacks in the last laps and simply gave the 100th anniversary victory to Lewis In any case, Hamilton would have made even more efforts and it's not a fact that Lando would have been able to resist. It seems that the McLaren team itself was not completely sure about the weather conditions and therefore did not force Norris to change the tires on an order. Verstappen, unlike Norris, on the contrary, pulled out a lucky lottery ticket and almost completely minimized the losses from changing the engine on his car and fully trusted the team in the issue of tires. By the way, the engine change factor can play a positive role for Max further in the championship race.

The Formula 1 World Championship and local organizers announced today, Thursday, that Qatar will host a race for the first time in November as part of a 10-year agreement that begins in 2023 after hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The race, scheduled for November 21, will be in Losail International Circuit under the floodlights in the suburbs of Doha, part of 4 races in the Middle East for the first time in 22 races in the 2021 schedule.
The November 21 race became vacant on the turbulent schedule after the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka was canceled, among other races canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The race will start at 18:00 local time under floodlights.
The race will not be held in 2022 due to the World Cup, with matches being played in November and December due to the weather, and the location of the next race has not been decided, and it could move to another new circuit unless changes are made in Lusail.

This year it will be a hard battle between Max and Hamilton. Max is only 2 points behind Hamilton and I'm hoping for an exciting clash up ahead. In the last race, Hamilton won the match and Max finished second, even after starting in the last grid. That is some awesome stuff from him. And Hamilton is the GOAT. He just got the 100th win of his career.

This COVID-19 pandemic has affected every aspect of people's lives including sports events. Every now and then the events are getting canceled or postponed. That is some great news for the F1 fans in Qatar.

I didn't like the last race in 2020 too much because the track condition was really poor. It was an extremely hard race for all the drivers in the grid. This time, I heard that the officials are getting the track prepared well for this race. As long as the grip is strong on the track, we will watch a much better race I think. But in case it rains, it would be even a more delightful race for us.
