Given the proud nature of the man (Usyk) I think it must have been a very difficult decision to leave Ukraine and to head to training camp. If he is not focused on the job in the ring he will no doubt be knocked out by a revenge-seeking Joshua.

I think Usyk is not going to lose focus, he knows winning the fight and retaining the belts will give Ukraine even more positive exposure because when he gets the microphone at the end of the fight whilst holding the belts as champion he will use the opportunity to maximise it to his advantage.

I think pretty much the whole world knows about the conflict. I guess he's got to give it some spin to justify leaving Ukraine (not that I think he needs to especially as I think he returned their to fight rather than he was there at the time everything kicked off).

AJ has better get working on his game plan if he wants a chance at getting those belts back. Would set up a nice fight with Fury if he does (assuming Fury doesn't lose his belts to Whyte).

This comes a surprise because I thought the fight was taking place at Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London. ESPN cite sources saying that Saudo Arabia is the most likely destination but gave no explanation why it would be moved from London.

By some accounts it was supposed to be in September 2022 and then mentioned to take place in June 2022 but it was always mentioned the venue would be Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. I am surprised that the fighters would be open to having the fight outside of the UK after the preliminary discussions.

If they have the fight in the Middle East both fighters would have to travel well ahead of time in order to acclimatise and they would not want that as it would disrupt their routine.

Regarding the undercard, I saw your earlier post and yes the undercard does not look exciting.

It is good to hear that Anthony Joshua can learn from his mistakes after every defeat and if that is the case he will be defeated by all of his upcoming opponents and then rectify his mistakes and come back for a rematch  .

I think Angel Fernandez and Robert Garcia will not be able to change the outcome of the fight. Joshua will go into the fight with the mindset he will outbox Usyk as he did in the rematch with Ruiz but Usyk will not be outboxed and will not be knocked out. I think Joshua will get knocked out within 4 rounds.

The only chance Joshua has to win is by knockout if he catches Usyk off guard with a well connected shot, other than that there is no way I can see for Joshua to win.

I think Joshua will get knocked out within 4 rounds.

The only chance Joshua has to win is by knockout if he catches Usyk off guard with a well connected shot, other than that there is no way I can see for Joshua to win.

A stronger frame and more punch power did not help Joshua when he was defeated by Usyk last year. This fight could be a career ending one for Joshua because if he loses (as expected) then who will take him seriously when he enters the ring again for another fight?

Joshua was a good watch for many of his fights and was expected to beat most opponents that was until he met Ruiz and Usyk. He never fought anybody before that had the same levels of technical skills and power as Usyk and Ruiz. He did fight Parker and won on points and he did fight a 41 year old Klitchko and nearly lost the fight.

Joshua is a good boxer but he is not brilliant or great. His technical skills fade in to insignificance when being compared to a 30 year old Klitchko or a modern day Ruiz and Usyk... and Fury.

I think Joshua is stronger and packs more punch but Usyk is just really good technically. Can expect a lot of faints from Usyk. Maybe we will see the same outcome, Joshua feeling frustrated because he can't get his shots because Usyk is using his feet and his technical skills. And yes, we don't know how Robert Garcia has formulate a plan and then put it into action. Maybe they will go like for Joshua to be very aggressive in the beginning and make Usyk very uncomfortable with pressure and maybe caught Usyk with a big shot.

I think it is too late to teach Joshua a new style because the learning process is different when you are a younger boxer. I am sure Joshua is set in his ways and it will be difficult for him to change now.

As for Uysk, he is 35 years old now but recent media clips show him in fantastic shape while he was training. No matter which style Joshua adopts he will be unable to beat Usyk, that is what I have concluded.

Why do you think that Joshua is stronger? I wouldn't be so sure about that, maybe he looks bigger, but because of this he loses speed. Usyk surpasses him in speed and technique. At the end of the first fight, it was clear how much Usyk surpasses Joshua in speed, this indicates Usyk's significantly greater stamina. Maybe Joshua can only have a psychological advantage, given that Usyk was in the forces, defending his country, but this is a very debatable point.

Bold prediction! Do you think that Usyk has become so strong? In my opinion, the size will allow Joshua to endure much longer than 4 rounds even if Usyk completely dominates. Now I consider the most likely outcome of the fight to be Usyk's victory by decision of the judges. As far as Joshua's chances are concerned, they really only exist in a lucky punch.

Maybe not much of a chance, but it could be more on the mentally of AJ that might help Joshua overcome Usyk. A breathe of fresh air, new training regimen, and then they can sit down and discuss what went wrong in the first fight and try to correct it. Should be more coming from Joshua and then Garcia laying down the blue print. Garcia has work with a lot of champions in the past so definitely he could push AJ to do better, but we will see.

^^ As the saying goes "you can't teach old dogs new trick" and maybe this will hold on Joshua. Sure Robert has trained Nonito, his brother, Rios, Margarito and Marcos Maidana when he upset Broner. But this is heavyweight, when everything chances in just one punch, or too technical that it's hard for this boxers to adjust in game. Just like what we see in Joshua, his weakness is boxers that have so much mobility and then fighters than can punch harder than him. Usyk is the former.

Do you have an information who is going to be in Usyks corner? For their first fight he was trained by Vasily Lomachenko father. Now Vasily is deeply involve into Ukraine-Russia war (hope he was not just posing in uniform and weapons and really protects his country). Anatoly Lomachenko probably is also busy with Ukraine or cant give his 100% to Usyk. I would say that who prepared Usyk for rematch is a good question.

And it is because of this Usyk is the favorite by far, when Joshua lost against Ruiz many people thought he had room for improvement as he was too heavy on the first fight and lost stamina incredibly quickly, then Ruiz made things even easier for Joshua by getting into the ring way heavier than the previous fight which denied his biggest advantage, which was his speed of hands, but against Usyk there is not much Joshua can do, as he cannot outbox him and if he decides to bet everything on his size and punching power then Usyk will dance around him during all the fight.
