According to this link DAZN was outbid by SkySports therefore it is PPV with them but you are right, Youtube will be showing the fight live in Ukraine.

I know Sky have got it for the UK but there's all the other rights across the world. I have German and Spanish Dazn and Dazn usually gets the rights for one of those or at least somewhere in the world. Hopefully Youtube don't block proxys and I can watch it there.

Hearn seems to talk a lot of nonsense when he is in the mood. He is promoting Joshua and the only hope of him making more money off Joshua is if Joshua beats Usyk then manages to lure Fury out of retirement. Hearn never got over the fact he was outbid by Frank Warren for the previous Fury fight.

Fury is talking a lot of nonsense as well. A couple of months ago he said he was retired and done forever. Then he says he will fight for half a billion. Then he says he will fight AJ for free. Now he's seemingly trying to fight Chisora for the third time whilst also calling out Thor. I think Hearn was right when he said he was just trying to take away the attention from AJ right now. Is he seriously serious about any of those fights? You don't know what to believe with that guy. I think the logical fight is to fight the winner of this match. The big money fight would obviously be with AJ but it's going to take a miracle for him to emerge victorious from this fight.

Boom. Dazn has worldwide rights excluding, UK, Ukraine & Ireland, but will show it elsewhere including the States. The fight will also be streaming on YouTube for Ukrainians so maybe a proxy will work there so people can watch it for free. Main card starts at 9:00 am PST / 12:00 pm EST / 18:00 CET, 6PM GMT. Main fight is around 10.54pm GMT.

What you said is true for all promoters  Grin

They have to keep pushing for extra publicity right up until both fighters get in the ring and as you rightly stated once it is all over AJ retires, Hearn will still be promoting the next possible champion.

I do think there is a big chance Fury will be tempted out of retirement to fight Usyk or Joshua for a unification fight but first of this rematch needs to be settled.

What's new? I mean the promoters always talk like their fighters are the next champion or unbeatable in the case of Joshua. I get it, he wants to make money, that's what he's hired for. So, I can't give him to much stick for that, he's doing his job. However, it would be refreshing to hear a little honestly from time to time, but he isn't inclined to do that, AJ pays his bills, and therefore he's always going to talk about Joshua positively. That's until he's retired, and no longer on his pay roll.

I do want to see Fury come out of retirement to fight both of them though, I want him to win obviously, and I want him to be the unanimously accepted greatest of this generation, which I already believe he is.

We will soon see. Fury has until august 26th and after that the belts will be vacated. The logical thing would be to just fight the winner here and I think Fury wins them both without much trouble so he'd be silly to walk away now. If AJ does win though I'd bet a lot of money that Tyson will step into the ring for that. Apparently and according to Hearn Fury did actually send a contract over to Chisora for the trilogy but not sure whether Chisora didn't want the fight on those terms of Fury withdrew the offer. This definitely won't be the last we've heard of Fury but maybe if he walks away from these belts at the end of the month he will just do the big blockbuster exhibition fights like Ngannou and Thor etc.

That is the logical thing to do and you rightly said he would probably beat Joshua or Usyk without too much hassle. Maybe the best way to make the most money would be to let the belts slips away and then fight the winner of the Joshua vs Usyk rematch as a contender rather than as a champion.. would Fury be able to command more money that way?

Either way, he should fight the winner of the Joshua vs Usyk rematch and as long as he wins then retire as a unified, undefeated and undisputed heavyweight champion.

Looking back, I do not know what went wrong with Fury during the Whyte fight. What stopped Fury pulling the trigger to go for a knockout several times per round? Eventually he caught Whyte with a head shot but it was pretty much an anti-climax as far a number one contender fighting a heavyweight champion was concerned.

If AJ does win though I'd bet a lot of money that Tyson will step into the ring for that. Apparently and according to Hearn Fury did actually send a contract over to Dillian for the trilogy but not sure whether Dillian didn't want the fight on those terms of Fury withdrew the offer. This definitely won't be the last we've heard of Fury but maybe if he walks away from these belts at the end of the month he will just do the big blockbuster exhibition fights like Ngannou and Thor etc.
Fury is box office on an international scale. There is no chance whatsoever he will not return to the ring. He needs the attention, he adores it and the fans are willing to pay top money to watch him.

Nah, no way. The opposite. The person who holds the belts holds most of the sway and can dictate most of the terms. Unless it's a mandatory fight then AJ or whoever could just refuse to fight Fury as there's nothing other than money that will make that fight happen. You might wonder why he would turn that down but if AJ knows or thinks he's likely to lose he could just go with the easier option or whoever the commission puts in front of him as mandatory. The best thing to do is for Fury to hold on to the belts but we will soon find out by the end of the month if he's serious about retiring. If AJ wins then I'm sure we will see Fury fighting him but either way I'd like to see Fury against whoever wins. Fury definitely shouldn't be retiring when there's people like Usyk still to beat and I think he has to take those fights to cement his legacy.

Here is the video fo the face-off:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGUlRLPCM2k

Usyk looks scary though (got to be the hair  Grin), good sense of humor but inside the ring he is very different. AJ look intense and serious, maybe he was already intimidated by Usyk?

And then the press conference:

You never know with Fury. I've been a fan forever, and I still don't know when he's being serious, and when he isn't. It annoys me to a certain extent, and while he's perfectly within his right, and will retire a legend. It just feels wrong to do so, when he could have two more fights against the these two men, and potentially cement his position as the best of his era, and no one would be able to argue it. Currently, we're always going to be like "what about AJ or Usyk". Even though, I'm quite confident he beats both of them, and almost certain he beats AJ, I still want to see it.

I just hope he's playing mind games, and comes back regardless who wins.

Oleksandr Usyk's desire to buy the rights to broadcast his fight with Joshua for Ukraine so impressed the Saudis that Saudi Arabia announced that it was giving Usyk the right to a fight that he would broadcast to Ukraine on his youtube channel.

He's annoying a lot of people and people are starting to not take him serious. I always though his retirement shtick was just a ploy to try squeeze more money out of a potential fight. I.e. well I am retired but I'll come out of retirement if the price is right. He's obviously not serious anyway since he just offered Chisora 2 million for a fight and I think Chisora is very stupid and/or greedy to ask for more. He got $500,00 for his last fight against Pulev and I doubt he'll be getting even close to that for his next fights so he should have just taken the money. He's on tail end of his career as well so just take the money and retire rather than fighting a bum once a year for less than 100k a pop. Fury should 100% fight the winner of this match and let's face it that's probably going to be Usyk. Walking away when he can unify all the belts, get the biggest payday of his career and probably with out too much trouble seems silly. I guess we'll find out Fury's true intentions by the end of the month as he's going to have to vacate the belt.

Wooooow... I never thought that Fury has retired, because I remember him talking that the only belt that is left for his collection, is the belt Usyk holds. I have been living with a feeling, that he will fight the winner of Usyk vs Joshua fight, but then a rematch clause spoiled his plans, spoiled a bit.
Tyson Fury has vacated the belt and announced his retirement but with the way he started training once again with a new coach makes me think that he will be coming back once again.

Btw, Usyk looks bigger than he was in their first fight.

Its either Usyk has gained, or Joshua decided to lose to gain more speed. What do you think, will we see a new Joshua ?
Anthony Joshua is weighing around 244 pounds much heavier than the first first and Oleksandr Usyk weighs at 221 pound around the weight he fought last time. I am not expecting any massive difference in this fight unless Usyk was not focusing on training after winning the belt just like Andy Ruiz Jr  Grin.

Under usual normal circumstances I would never have asked the question but as it stands with Fury calling literally all the shots even though he is not fighting tonight, the issue about his retirement is still there. He gave up the belts or had them taken away after he could not fight previously because of all those issues but he made a comeback. In the process I am not sure how things altered financially for him.

It makes pure sense to hold on to the belts after winning them and keep making defences in the process increasing the earnings with each fight.

Fury definitely shouldn't be retiring when there's people like Usyk still to beat and I think he has to take those fights to cement his legacy.

Usyk looks scary though
He looks like a man on a mission. Did you see the other video where Hearn was being interviewed but Usyk came and sat next to him. Hearn was absolutely scared but tried to put up a show as though he was not worried  Grin

Currently, we're always going to be like "what about AJ or Usyk". Even though, I'm quite confident he beats both of them, and almost certain he beats AJ, I still want to see it.

I just hope he's playing mind games, and comes back regardless who wins.
The fact people are still talking about his retirement and that possible unification fight against Usyk (or Joshua) means he is not out of the picture yet. He has not officially retired by writing to the boxing organisations that he is world heavyweight champion of. I think he has maybe another 6 days to formally renounce his belts and effectively retire or he will have to fight the number one contender which really should be the winner of the Joshua-Usyk rematch.

I think it is mind games and he should enter the ring a final time to probably unify the belts then retire but as you said with Fury, you just do not know when he is being serious and when he is playing up to an audience.

I guess we'll find out Fury's true intentions by the end of the month as he's going to have to vacate the belt.
Exactly. He will have to vacate the belts or basically put his name forward for a mandatory defence and that is the only time his intentions will be known.

Usyk outperformed Joshua in the first fight in terms of speed, it was obvious, and increasing the weight always leads to a loss of speed, which will be a negative moment for Joshau. Joshua is a hardy fighter and most likely we will see all 12 rounds again today with a Usyk victory by decision, but I would like Usyk to knock out Joshau and we will not return to this confrontation anymore. Heard a lot of promises that Joshua will surprise everyone, that he has a fight plan that will help him win, let's see what he can show us today.

I think Joshua is already mentally defeated after losing to Usyk last year but his actual defeat in 2022 will happen in a couple of hours time. Joshua will need a miracle to win but it can happen, it is not impossible however it is highly improbably.

I give Joshua zero chance of winning. He needs to go out from round one throwing right handers Wilder-style and hope he catches Usyk on the jaw knocking him out... other than that Joshua himself knows he cannot outwit or outbox Usyk therefore he should probably throw in the towel or be prepared to get knocked out.

Usyk outperformed Joshua in the first fight in terms of speed, it was obvious, and increasing the weight always leads to a loss of speed, which will be a negative moment for Joshau. Anthony Joshua has been very strict with his training on this fight and there is so much focus from his team, but I still feel Anthony Joshua has lots that confidence he had back then when he was undefeated and confidence is very important in Boxing, Joshua has great potentials and has great punching power so does his opponent now it comes down to who wants it more I think Joshua may come out champion.

Who watch the fight?

Unofficially (my scorecard) I have Usyk winning 116-112.

Let's see what will be the judges scorecard as this is a very close fight. I gave Usyk the championship rounds.

Edit:

Official result: Oleksandr Usyk def. Anthony Joshua via split decision (115-113, 115-113, 116-112)

What is happening to AJ? Has he lost his drive, his motivation, his hunger? I mean, because I do not understand what's been going on with this champ. Has he made so much money that his heart in no longer in the sport? Totally appalled and embarrassed with his performance in the ring. The AJ I watched today stands no fighting chance against Fury and Wilder.

Anthony Joshua fought better than he did in the first fight, showed better reaction especially in the early stages and had some really good rounds where he dominated like in Round 9, but this fight proves that sometimes having a powerful fist is not just enough, Skills just like what Usyk showed are also required to make a complete boxer. His movements made it difficult for him to be an easy target for a direct punch from AJ's powerful fist.

Usyk was able to improve his performance with every round, he looked to come back stronger and that was something impressive and shows the real mindset of a fighter, a champion someone who was there to prove a point and surely he has. AJ was satisfied with the outcome of the fight, Usyk really deserved it.

Now it's going to be Usyk vs Fury Cheesy, that's some fight!

Yeah I agree there's so much hesitation on his part he is very tentative he just waited and waited for Usyk to come in and he is in a defensive mode, I thought he'll going to do another performance as he did with Ruiz, but it seems its a continuation on where both fighters left off, now the boxing community will take Usyk seriously and might pit him against Fury or Wilder.
Usyk could be the greatest heavyweight boxer of this generation after all, and I wonder what's next for Joshua.
