Are you following the CS:GO major? With FURIA's recent victories and becoming the #1 ranked team on Valve, I'm quite confident in them, but not only them, Brazilian teams in general can learn a lot from their tactics and this should boost all Brazilians. What do you think will win this major?

Other than them, are there any other Brazilian teams in this StarLadder Major in Budapest currently in progress?
Having a look at the upcoming matches for today didn't notice any in the lineup.
One of the first match played on opening day was an real upset with NRG beating FaZe. But those were BO1 matches.
Today should continue off being BO3 with FlyQuest, GamerLegion, M80 and The Huns all winning their matches yesterday.

Yesterday there was a game between Brazilian teams and today there is another one. Currently, the game between Imperial and The Huns is being shown, and Imperial won the first map. They are doing well so far in this second map, with a 9-7 score. They just need to control the game and they will win.

Was watching the Ninjas in Pyjamas match with Fluxo and they are a Brazilian team aswell from what ralle14 mentioned too in the post below yours.
Thought I saw arT on their team and remember him being on MiBR for all those years in their hay days.

First matchup of the day are with Faze Clan vs Fluxo, so we will just see if the top tier CS team are going to have just as hard a time they had with Red Canids yesterday.
The rest of the schedule are with NRG vs Imperial and Parivision vs Legacy who lost badly yesterday to B8.

Yes, Fluxo is a Brazilian team, and Art, when he left Fúria, went straight there, if I'm not mistaken. And yesterday Imperial beat their opponent 2-0. Showing that they are strong and are organizing themselves well, with a great game from Chelo and Vini, in my opinion.

Imperial deserves congratulations; they played a truly excellent game and advanced to the next stage by eliminating their opponent. Despite defeating Faze and NiP, NRG failed to advance. Like fluxo, they also failed to win another match despite going 2-0 and lost their chance to participate in the major.

That game of Xtreme Gaming and Execration is suspicious. 17 minutes and calling it a GG. I know that it sounds funny and they're not this kind of team that just gives up, XG is known to be fighting til' the end or they have just been disappointed on how XCTN got the lead in the early game. Now, this is going to give that thoughts of the dota 2 betting community that they're probably just xiaobet on XCTN for that 3+ odds. Or it's simply that Ame got titled.  

You got me looking up this matchup after mentioning how quick this game ended, and it somewhat made sense why XG tapped out, when their lineup relies on the early snowball of the Lone Druid. Losing all three lanes, and they're suddenly trailing by 5k within the first ten minutes.

The game state was a nightmare after the laning stage, and even if they held on, they're probably just waiting for the inevitable since their carry falls off heavily in the late game.

I think if they have waited a bit longer and try to fight for that since it's a bo1 series, who knows they can have a come back. But if it's Ame that has already tapped out, no hope anymore.

I never bet on group-stage matches because something like that are so common. What XG did was didn't pick their comfort or signature heroes, which put them at a disadvantage and even a team like Tidebound can beat XCTN. It’s no longer surprising to see high odds and then watch a Chinese team pick strange drafts and play in an unusual way.

You're right on this one, while they played well for the other teams and basically if it's a good team, they won't just allow the game to lose but since it's an underdog, they feel that they should just have a better chance with others. And again, XCTN did another upset with a chinese team and that's with the YKBros. My bet lose against them since I picked YKBros instead of going that 3.30 odd with XCTN.

I thought this was their best chance, considering Imperial's weaker wins, but it didn't matter when the individual players on Imperial are popping off. Still, what a run from NRG since a lot of people probably had them going 0-3 and somehow got very close.

Also, that final game between Parivision and Legacy was cinema once Legacy started choking their 11-5 lead and even fumbled their second series point in overtime.

Seems like Tundra Esports cannot find a great shape within their team right ? They literally tried almost every good player in this team from carry to support and the only one left to blame is 33 ? Is hard to say 33 is the problem but I do have a feeling after the winter break , Tundra will win some trophies with Pure as carry.

In my comments above, I mentioned that Brazil would be strong, largely due to the hype surrounding Fúria and studying their strategies. Adding to that their high morale and the pressure on their opponents, the Brazilians are coming in strong. I strongly believe we'll have at least one of them in the grand final this year. It's looking interesting!

Tundra is doing good on the Blast Slam. To be honest, I don't think that 33 is the one to be blamed if ever they fall, he's doing good and that's the same with their supports. As for their carry, it's a shuffle since I think crystallis was just a loan when they've taken him and getting back pure made them stronger IMO. 33 is well respected and one of the best offlaners, he's also two-time TI winner don't forget about that.
So his experience matters a lot for the team and that's why which team he goes, he's not getting kicked and he only leaves I think when he's done with the contract.

I've been enjoying the MIBR Female run on the Valorant Game Changers championship. There was some drama with a G2 player putting a monkey emoji on her X post after losing to MIBR. Now MIBR is in the finals and looks thirsty to win and prove everything they are good.

Odds are ~2.75 for the finals match MIBR vs Shopify Rebelion GC,  I might put some coin on it.

It was my first time watching it, the beef + the insane comeback MIBR did made everything very fun. Also, I'm brazilian (as MIBR is) so I have "stake in the game" (). I might start following them around.

Was watching one of the earlier matches for this Budapest major and the commentators were mentioning about the Brazilian teams playing in the current CS2 scene and they had named Fluxo, Imperial, pAIN gaming, MiBR and FURIA.

Think they were the team I was watching that day because I had a bet on but they lost the game.
This StarLadder tournament has seen alot of the top teams in CS2 getting beat by the lower tiered teams.

This StarLadder tournament has seen alot of the top teams in CS2 getting beat by the lower tiered teams.

Legacy not making it out was so unfortunate. But at least we get Parivision, and they're one of the few interesting teams worth following since they're mostly filled with rookies plus a sniper IGL with lots of experience.

Not being a male chauvinist or anything, but it just showed to be a fact in eSports when the best of women's CS faced off against a men's team last year. The results tell the rest and says this to be true.

I remember reading something late last week about their reasoning to end their league when it comes down to it. Women's CounterStrike does not make financially viable sense for it to continue. Maybe Valorant is different but the women's scene had been stuggling to match the men's since 2022.

Now about CS2, I remember their super squad made up Brazilians in their prime. That was the golden age of the Esport for certain.

Today's matches in the tournament are MiBR vs Liquid, Passion UA vs 3DMAX, M80 vs TYLOO, fnatic vs Imperial, PARIVISION vs Aurora, FaZe vs Ninjas in Pyjamas, FlyQuest vs Astralis and Natus Vincere vs B8.

Unfortunately, never had been into the women's side of eSports to be honest.
As it has been scientifically proven that women don't visually comprehend things in the same fashion as their male counterparts do.
Not being a male chauvinist or anything, but it just showed to be a fact in eSports when the best of women's CS faced off against a men's team last year. The results tell the rest and says this to be true.

Why does that matter? It's women vs women, you are not going to watch a gold vs radiant kind of game. It's as competitive as it can be for their level, which I agree is lower than a men's queue (I'm no denier to science).

I personally don't see myself following their scenario, because I simply don't have that much time. But I would watch some MIBR games since I don't mind supporting them and their squad is very fun and likeble. And the last games were particulary fun because of all the drama that happened between MIBR and G2.

Valorant also seems to have a lot more female players than CS as well, but I don't have any data to back this off.

I agree, and even if other teams are full, they'd for sure going to do arrangements if he's out of Tundra just to take him but that's unlikely to happen. The Blast Slam V is already on the playoffs, the play-in was just done and there are only 6 teams left. A lot of disappointment from the chinese teams because none of them got in to the main event.

Same thoughts, I think their ceiling slightly went down with Seleri, but then again, they did manage to avoid a few top teams like Tundra and Parivision during their run in Wallachia, so it's hard to say for sure.

Still, i'd rather fade Mouz for now unless I see Tundra force another Kez draft like last time.

This was something I never knew about. That is interesting fact of esports for everybody to know whoever follows any kind of game being played professionally.
Just seen the team that MiBR was going against in the finals for the the ESL Impact title last night.
And it was BIG EQUIPA who won this tournament finals.
So congratulations to them!

Watching some StarLadder CS2 and Fnatic are looking good against PassionUA ready to take the first map of their game.
