Right then, we're near the first game and we've trashed Onana and Nigeria and AFC, but is anyone up for quick sidebets?

I don't know the players well enough, but I'll offer a 1mbtc like-for-like bet on these outcomes of these group games:

• Ivory Coast clean sheet vs Guinea Bissau
• Amoura to score vs Angola
• El Khannouss to have 2+ shots vs Tanzania

If anyone wants to go against them, feel free! Better than bookie odds, so I'm giving away free money haha.

Ok, I will take you for Amoura to score against Angola. So my bet is that he doesn't score. Seems like good bet even if I have no idea who Amoura is and which country he plays for. So I would appreciate if you tell me that. Angola is usually quite solid in defense and that is enough for me.

I will also go with Amoura not to score - for quick searchbar Amoura plays for Royals ( Belgium) side and he's the leading goal scorer this season. Guinea Bissau are shit I can't trust them... Quote me if you're in.

Are there any teams other than the host that will have a home atmosphere in Ivory Coast? Not really familiar with politics there, will Guinea/Ghana have any advantage or not?

Burkina Faso forms a large amount of the population in ivory coast, with other countries contributing smaller amounts like Ghana, Mali and yes, Guinea too. These are the neighboring countries, so it doesn't come as a surprise that they have a healthy population presence.

Good question. For example in EURO, no matter who is playing and where, we always have full stadiums. Don't know how many fans are traveeling to support theirteams in Africa, but I guess that these countries closest to Ivory Cost will get biggest support. I just hope that vuvuzelas isn't big thing there .

Ivory-coast neighbouring countries such as Ghana, Guinea, and Burkina Faso will have a major fans edge. Nigeria is two nations distant from Ivory Coast, but we have a large Nigerian community across Africa, so there are already millions of Nigerians in Ivory Coast eager to support.

It was a bad timing for all players involved - we lost Boniface to injury in that useless game. Guinea were playing with all seriousness cause they have nothing to lose and Nigeria on the other hand is one of the  favorite for the AFCON and the players were not ready to risk it.

Should be at least 20 of this season. Already collected money from 18, 2 I am quite sure it is just a matter of hours and then I have some more stranglers from my Sportsbet chat that are interested to join.

I will still allow people to join during first GW, with the start of GW2 pool will be officially closed. Detailed rewards will be written out at that moment. It will be similar spread as in my La Liga and Serie A pools (percentage wise).

Anyway it all starts today so make your picks and good luck, not that you need it.

Yep, I remember this, but Blatter then (if I’m not mistaken, this swindler was still in business) put it in the sense that “vuvuzelas should stay in Africa.” Therefore, I don’t remember that they were banned everywhere, but if this is already the case, then I’m glad.

Is anyone surprised by the bookmakers' odds on BTTS? Mostly they are seriously higher than 2 - in some cases almost close to 3. If you make a money bet, then such cases always attract me.

I hope that we can reach much higher numbers in time. I hope that we can watch an AFCON with more goals this time. My favourite for the championship is Nigeria this year.

Frankly I wasn't thinking that the interest in AFCON would be this high. It is quite pleasing to see that there is a crowd of people who want to join nearly every pool on the forum from now on. I hope that we can reach much higher numbers in time. I hope that we can watch an AFCON with more goals this time. My favourite for the championship is Nigeria this year.

I don't think Nigeria has what it takes to win AFCON. Their defense is simply not good enough for me. Few minutes left till it starts...


In the end we will have a couple of people paying in USDT, I don't see any other way then using that budget for one of the lower rewards. Just hope that person that lands on that position will not be a BTC maxi but if he is maybe we can find some other solution. For instance I don't care if I am getting USDT or BTC so if I end up in the money (I will not), I would gladly offer a chance to convert on the fly.

Different coach, different set of players; other African countries (Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Cameron) keep the same set of national team players, which helps in building chemistry. In Nigeria, however, the situation is different; we are just overpopulated, and the number of players spread over Africa and outside is too many to select the very best. I don't have confidence in our defenders, and our goalkeeper is too short to catch anything. I don't think we'll win this one.

And yes, credit to casperBGD who knows my nasty little side habit of following Jupiler league teams. USG and others have been very good value padding for me in Europa and Conference. Power packed teams, they play like they don't care who scores, so are among the highest attacking sides in Europe (when they play vs not too good teams). Honestly I don't even know if Amoura will start but Algeria can't afford to ignore his form. And yes I follow some Dutch games, but only because where I live. It's impossible not to hear the news...

I watched Australia - India opening game; beautiful atmosphere but I must say this - India needs to focus on cricket and baseball. They were totally awful. Lol
