I don't know how if serious the knock is but id Osimhem doesn't play then it's all the manager's fault, he got a knock, came for treatment and he still push him back to the game, we were already winning and Osimhem should have been changed early to avoid all this from happening

I guess he played. Watched the highlights and saw just one strike from him near the end I think it was from very far beyond penalty box, keeper saved, fumbled but nobody was close enough to take it on, but comfortable in the end.

He also won the penalty and was a workaholic upfront, putting pressure on the defenders when they held possession.

I think his number of goals does not describe his performance throughout the tournament. He has been one of Nigeria's best players so far. I am really looking forward to what club he plays for at the end of the seson.

Hell no, with how the Ivorians always fail to put up a convincing performance whenever they play, I really don't see them winning here unless they push their luck to force a penalty shootout which makes it 50-50 for everyone and I don't think it will get here as this will be concluded inside 90 minutes!!!

In a final. Lots of things goes out the window and it is all down to who wants it more on the night.

I will quite agree, in a final nothing is the same and they often are no second chances and they game could all come down to just one mistake, a wrong call and whatnot then it's all decided, and the Ivory Coast team would have learnt quite a lesson from their group stage loss against the Super Eagles, and the last thing the Super Eagles want is to feel superior going into the game, because that also could mean losing sight of their game plan.

He has been Nigeria's best player even before the competition starts, a few games doesn't change the talent, only the physical form and condition I'm still hoping to see him stay in Napoli one more season, but I have a strong feeling in July he moves across to England, we'll see of course, but winning AFCON will definitely put his price tag up even higher

The lucky bastard won the First Division last season, and I've stopped underestimating him; he's getting quite unpredictable; I expected him to slide last round, but he didn't. Tomorrow's results would bring about numerous changes. After witnessing DR Congo against Ivory Coast, I must admit that the third-place match will be difficult to predict.

The AFCON has shown us how effective the VAR system is in the hands of competent officials. This may sound odd, but the English FA is using the system to rig matches. How can the entire Refs be this bad after VAR was implemented?

I almost bottled it early too, After the first semi went 1-1, I was struggling to change the second to 0-0. Thankfully. My initial picks was 2-0 for both games (I was thinking about extra time).

I became the champion by getting past buwaytress on the final week last season. However this wasn't a surprise for me. I knew that he would lose on the final weeks. As I forgot about making predictions against him this year I lost 4 points and maybe this cost me the championship. 

I'm sorry bro but Nigeria continued on their journey in the cup tonight. I assume that the only person who has believed in Nigeria on the forum has been me since the beginning of AFCON. Even though the defense line isn't comprised of much quality players Nigeria squad absolutely have the quality to win the cup. And I must admit that I'm surprised with that.

Man, stop assuming dreams! You can't be the only one that believes in us more than Nigerians; you're not alone, and you haven't read the other AFCON general thread yet. I expected Nigeria to win the trophy from the start of the tournament.  But keep supporting us; we need all of your luck and support to win the final.

You definitely do not want to underrate your opponents before a final, but you would not want to overate them either. I have watched good teams not play up to their normal standards because they are overthinking the fact that it is a final and they need to be very careful.

This was my pre-match conference analysis.I clearly stated that if our first choice GK starts, we have no chance; he is worse than Onana, but after the first game, when I saw the Nwabali guy ( 3rd choice), I have never doubted them since. The former Nigeria first-choice goalkeeper is without a doubt the worst in Africa; we missed out on World Cup and the last AFCON because of his mistakes.

Something tells me that you already have some insider gossip but are leading us down the most obvious direction so you gain lots of points on the rest of us, or at least those still in a running for a reward slot.

With the last games of the AFCON to come, we certainly should see some change in position's for those close to 10th position, and personally after having a bad run from the semi finals only because Nigeria $@#&@ my perfect score to take the game to penalties, am now just a spectator that's is looking forward for this competition to end and we get back to champions league football or something for some  real action

Btw, was looking into the prize money involved for the competition and was disappointed to find no mention of any incentives for being 3rd, and if this is the case expect the big names not to play tomorrow and probably it will be goals galore #GG

So no extra prize money for 3rd place, I didn't realize this. In this case there absolutely is no gain or no loss from risk. I'm beginning to think 3-2 is now the best answer in this coming game, but I'm sticking with my weird draw result. Not so much because I think both sides will be too careful but because in their risk free attitude you also need good finishers.

I locked my pick anyway and checked the results others put in, only 1 person predicted 3-2

It is weird to not give the 3rd place team any extra bonus if you have a match between the two losing semi finalists to determine who comes third. I have not looked keenly into other knockout tournaments, maybe it could be a norm around the grounds.

I still see the first teams of both sides starting. The money is not the major motivation for the players and they still get their regular match bonuses for their performances.

Only a few of us predicted draws, which makes sense because 3rd placed matches usually are all about goals but we all got tricked by both sides blehs

So the top spots seemed not to move at all, all of you mostly picked wins for either team. I really needed the draw to happen to have a hope of 5th place but 1.5 points doesn't look like it's gonna be enough. Abii instead did very well and won a prize I believe as the gap to 4th is too big. Who's Abii here?
