Today 9th May parade happened in Moscow. Not in Kyiv as someone would like to see in his wet dreams. But this year parade was scaled down significantly. I'm wondering, why, what happened? Instead of showing new tanks like Armata, they only had one tank in aparade - T-34 from WW2 times. Some armored vehicles and few RS-24 YARS ICBM's. No air force display. In total, 51 vehicles, probably lowest numbers in many years. It looks that something happened. I can only insert this meme which relfects situation perfectly;

Meanwhile, Ukraine made some counteroffensive operations in Bakhmut and regained 3 km² of city (not official information). And Prigozhin continue to cry.

I would like to see the T-34. It is really a miracle if they managed to put one working WW II tank together and manage to find someone capable of driving it.

If those news are confirmed it is a very relevant fact. Not as much for gaining terrain in Bakhmut, which may or not matter, but because it implies a massive withdrawal of troops to the south. RF chief Orcs are scared this time.

I think Russians should worry less about the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and worry much more about the Victory Day parade yesterday which was a failure as only one tank of Soviet era was in show in the Moscow red square there.The fact that Wagner group is being nominated as a terrorist group from many EU countries starting from France should put a stop to their misery and cruelty and they even threatened to leave Bakhmut.The tanks overriding Russian troops there and gaining 2.6 km square should point to Russia that the war is mostly lost in all fronts and only terror by hitting the Red Cross building in Odessa is what they can do,in fact they only terrorized civilians during all this war as when it comes to military fight Russian army seem the worse and weaker of all.

The term 'terrorist group' simply isn't used by Russia. If it were, they would have labeled the US and Nato terrorists long ago. The US, via the CIA, is the most powerful terrorist organization around.

NATO-country populations are starting to get things figured out and getting restive, but they need more softening up via the Ukraine-war treatment.  If next winter is a hard one, that will expedite the process.

The Poles, and probably the Baltics, will never get it figured out.  So happens that these are also the ones which also need some property line adjustments for a 'better Europe' moving forward.  The trick is going to be to get Polish forces to set foot in Ukraine formally.  Once that trap is set, blitzkrieg right down the the Polish/Ukrainian border.  If the Poles can be induced to fire from the Polish side, then poof!  No more Article 5.  If the rest of the European populations are sufficiently pissed about NATO mistakes and grifts, unhappy with Polish idiocy, and genuinely concerned about how far things might progress in their direction, they would tend to 'understand' that Russia/White-Russia is reacting to an attack from Poland.  Hopefully the people would, en-mass, decide that desolving NATO is vastly preferable to risking the end of the world in support of the rabid Poles.

I believe that the Russians would be just fine having a rather large but land-locked RumpPolKrainistan centered  where they are now (which so happens to be suspiciously situated over the old 'pale of settlement'.)  It would serve as dumping zone for Nazis and other associated creeps.  The important thing would be to have direct transit points to other countries for transport of goods, energy, etc, which bypasses (South and North) the garbage heap so they cannot control and tax trade.  I'll bet that Russia would be very happy to stop right there and get back to building up their country since that seems to be what the are most interested in at this time.

be.open, you are repeating yourself in your posts but I agree: Whatever you sign-off with the RF governments means very little, starting with the Budapest agreements and continuing with any other agreement. That in itself is more of a problem for the RF than for others, since instead of just signing an agreement, they need to provide plenty evidence of compliance. In fact Russia already during the second world war were committing war crimes but back then they were extremely difficult to document unless you were like the Nazis clearly liking what they were doing thinking they were the superior race,now it looks like Putin is trying to instill in Russian citizens the same attitude as did Hitler back in WWII.This won't go very far,the war will go on for as long as West sees this fit to weaken Russia to a certain point that they do not give a damn about them anymore and leave them as I said eating bread with butter on holidays only like in post Soviet era.
