Argentina and Netherlands won pretty well and it was what almost everyone predicted today.
We have got 2 teams that will face each other in the top 8 later and it is certain that this will be very exciting because these two teams clearly have the same ambitions with nearly equal player strength.
It will be interesting to see whether the Netherlands or Argentina will make it to the top 4.

In itself, they were two easy victories for both the Netherlands and Argentina. I expect a little more from tomorrow's matches, then we will see France against Poland and England against Senegal. The winners of these matches then play each other in the quarter finals. Yes, France - England is a beautiful poster, a match that could have been the final. I can say that France is the favorite to beat England, but every game is determined by small details. The disadvantage of England is that they have a mediocre and rather inexperienced trainer. In that respect, the Netherlands does have a top coach in the person of Louis van Gaal.

Australia's goal was deserved, but not the one they scored. That goal was counted as an auto-goal and if they had equalised I think it would have been unfair, unfortunately. Anyway, it was a beautiful match (wish we had more of those) and I am immensely happy that Argentina continue their way in the mundial.

Somehow the process is still a goal and recorded on the scoreboard you can imagine if the goalkeeper didn't make any mistakes then the final score would be 1-1
But there's no one to blame everything has become a condition where there are winners there must be losers in this case Argentina is lucky and Australia is unlucky.

Putting luck aside, Argentina is a better team than the Australian team in this match. Australia regained momentum after scoring the game's first goal, but Argentina was very strong in defense and was prepared to win the match. They also have more experienced players than the Australian team, which gives them a competitive advantage. Despite Australia's efforts, there must be a winner in this match, and Argentina has taken the lead in this one.

BTW Messi has scored 3 goals so far and needs one more to come out on top I'm sure he can do it.

Currently, Messi's goals are still on par with other players such as Kylian Mbbappe, Alvaro Morata, Marcus Rashford, Enner Valencia, Cody Gakpo. I will rule out Enner Valencia in this matter because indeed Ecuador has failed but there are a number of players who are still playing at the moment, especially maybe Gakpo who could make this a Messi destroyer in the top 8 later because they will face each other.
This will be interesting because on the other hand France will also face Poland later, of course Mbappe's chances are still very big.

Netherlands vs Argentina is a very crucial match which allegedly will have a pretty hot atmosphere for these two teams. Previously, I saw Argentina beat Australia with a score of 2-1, where Argentina appeared quite impressive in that match. Lionel Messi, who previously failed to contribute a goal during the Argentina vs Poland match, but he was able to appear neatly when he beat Australia by contributing 1 goal. The Netherlands also displayed a very impressive game when they beat the United States with a score of 3-1.

In this quarter-final I think the Netherlands and Argentina will be a very tough match for the two teams because these two teams are equally strong and performed quite well in the Qatar world cup. maybe we will watch the match with additional time or until the penalty shootout. worth the wait.

Netherlands played an awesome match. USA wasn't able to give the competence and it gave Netherlands the way to qualify for the quarter finals. USA at the end made its goal, though it had highest ball possession than Netherlands.

On the other match, Argentina won the match as majority of the fans predicted. Australia too managed to make its goal at the last minute. The competence keeps increasing with time, and Netherlands vs Argentina in the quarter finals is really interesting.

The neds deserves that 3-1 win over USA despite the whole match USA looks in possession and the chance to create goals were tend to equals ... netherlands are on another level tactically as for the result they converted those fewer chances into goals while USA fails.

Argentina would be a bit nervous now as it takes only few matches to lift that the most wanted world cup trophy.

Yes, the result as people's expected, the favorite teams won easily today. Argentina and Netherlands deserve to continue to the next round, people must expect much from these teams, especially Argentina. I am sure that many people want Argentina to reach the final round, people want to see Messi win the world cup title to complete his career history. We have 2 legends in this world cup tournament, Messi and Ronaldo. Personally, I dream to see Argentina vs Portugal in the final round. This may be the last world cup for Messi and Ronaldo.

I could not watch the match of the Netherlands vs the United states but there it really was a pretty easy win for the dutch there because they dominated the game. I don't really agree though that the victory of Argentina over Australia was also that easy for the south americans. In the last 15 minutes or so the game was pretty tense as Australia needed only 1 goal to make it to the extra time and even though Argentina was defending pretty well and did not really give away a lot of big chances to the Australians there still was a big chance to make the equalizer like 30 seconds before the game ended and it was very close there.

You don't get to know big teams in the group stages. They've got time, no matter how limited but,so lo g as they've got enough to amend mistakes, they could use that and have it all solved.
When we come to the knock outs, it's a whole different story. Any mistake would be very costly and so, instead of making mistakes, they look towards utilising every presented opportunity. That's how you see Argentina telling the Australians today whose boss and what stage they are at now in the tournament. The knock out, you lose and your back home from Qatar. A chance Argentina isn't willing to take, not with Messi looking out for a world cup trophy.

This match was not important for Brazil. Despite losing this match, Brazil became group champions. But the defeat against Cameroon is shameful. Cameroon is one of the weaker teams in this year's World Cup. My prediction was that the match between Cameroon and Brazil would be a draw. But Brazil lost the match. Brazil's players had plenty of chances to score. But Brazil's attacking players were unable to score. It was Brazil's striker's failure to not be able to score despite the easy chances.

You did not understand the match the way i understood the match, Brazil supposed to win the match but i believe that what means Brazil to lose the match is because they feel of losing the match for Cameroon to qualify,and i seen it in another way that Brazil play might say sell the match, the way I'm seeing it, because i believe selling of the matches might be the reason they lose the match because it's unbelievable that that after many people believe that with the kind of Brazil play of football will make them to win the match, but after which they lose the match.

Argentina could have won this game easier if they made an extra effort. They actually played quite decently but it was still enough for only a win by one goal. Australia were even near equalizing the score as they missed a huge chance in the last moments. Maybe a more capable team wouldn't waste that easily.

A team like Netherlands for example. They are Argentina's opponent now as you know. Argentina will need to be ready for a bigger challenge. I must admit that Netherlands are a little away from their performance in the previous tournaments but they are still very dangerous.

Argentina will just be another normal team, another country team without Lionel Messi in a couple of years but for now, I think they should really appreciate the effort and commitments he puts in to ensure that the country stays in the competition. He will be celebrated a lot for putting the first goal which was difficult to score. The next game they have is against a more competitive side and a more tougher opponent than Australia, other players need to step up their performance, depending on one man can be bad.

Australia did not do any job. They did not play - they were in training mode from Argentina
They have now 7 mins to save themselves - Argentine is not going to lose the match

Oh boy, we are comparing here a team that has barely a history in the World Cup and a team that has an experience here. It is like having an unknown team playing vs City or Real Madrid or PSG. Did you expect to see them winning vs the best team in the league? No! but they did good overall comparing to their skills. Same goes for USA, they did pretty good for an unexperienced team although their defeat with 3 goals to 1 vs Netherlands. It is all about what you are waiting from a team, not about victory or a defeat.
Brazil or Argentina or France will be humiliated by their supporters if they lose before finals, I could say even if they fail to win the World Cup. Teams like Morocco and Senegal know pretty well their limits, if they pass the next stage, it will be equivalent to winning the title. You cannot compare every team the same..

Argentina have played against an opponent who is not "famous" and cannot boast the same football experience as may other teams.
Ok over the years they have made great strides, but I don't think Australia was one of the favorite nations to win the tournament... so this result was pretty achievable at the end...

Yes indeed, Argentina actually plays with more pressure and also dominates. However, they missed many opportunities to shoot goals and were even caught in the offside trap 3 times. But on the other hand, the point is that victory is in their hands. Messi has contributed very well. Next, they will face the Netherlands who also have solidity and compactness. Their team maybe not too strong, not as strong as Argentina. However, they are able to maximize every effort at every opportunity. They are also able to play more solidly and sometimes press so that it confuses the opponent. However, I don't know what the outcome will be whether Argentina is able to excel again or not.

Argentina eventually made it through but it wasn't an easy match, they had to give their all and in the end, they even risked a draw.

At the moment I don't see a team superior to the others, they all have problems with a lack of players not called up (France) and injuries (Brazil)
