What a match between these two teams ,really good derby that just ended,Galatasaray won 2-1 and now looks really good on the league table. We have seen so much yellow cards and incidents in this match. Besiktas had a good chances in the very end but wasnt able to score . Referee missed the yellow card of Barış Alper in the 9th minute, and didn't show the yellow card in 3 fouls committed by Boey, and watched out Galatasaray's back. If you don't cancel these referees, who makes obvious mistakes in every match they manage, they will go out and operate comfortably like this.
While Galatasaray players who didn't get up from the ground were tolerated, the operation referee didn't do anything and they prevented the game from being played. He ignored the entry of the entire bench into the field, the operation referee couldn't say anything about Muslera making a clock signal while 3 minutes of the extra time, which was given 4 minutes, wasn't even played. There were at least 3 minutes of missing game time. He didn't even make an announcement against those who throw foreign substances on the field. Supposedly there are cameras everywhere, but for some reason, none of them are detected and fined. We knew that such things would happen when this operation referee was given before the match, it wasn't a surprise for us. That's why Türkiye can never and will never develop.

It would be easy for me to cry like a child, but today Galatasaray played better football than Beşiktaş. If we need to talk about football instead of making excuses like a child, Galatasaray played football more effectively especially in the second half of the match. Beşiktaş's goalkeeper Mert Günok made a few important saves and became one of the most important players of the match for Beşiktaş today. If one of our midfielders or forwards had been our most effective player, the score of the match might have been different. In the second half of the game, we had no presence other than a position that Wout found in the last minutes... I was really surprised with my team winning against Besiktas in this important derby game. Because I was waiting for a draw honestly. I didn't believe in Galatasaray players to manage to win this tough game. Especially after Senol Gunes' arrival at Besiktas I was even more worried.

However I really appreciated my team in this game. It was a wonderful performance in offense. We could have scored 3 or maybe even 4 goals actually. Icardi was amazing indeed with 2 goals. He was very close to a hat-trick also actually. But he targeted the goal post despite being in a very comfortable position to score. Mertens' classy shot and Mert's reflex against it were both impressive to watch. Besiktas increased their goal attempts in the last 15 minutes. Cenk's attempt from a very long distance was really great. It could have been the goal of the week if it weren't for Muslera's nice save. Weghorst also found an absolute goal chance but wasted it. Congrats to Galatasaray on this deserved 2-1 win.

The biggest problem was midfield, only Gedson had a solid game. Both Josef and Salih played awful, especially Salih did nothing in whole game. Josef's mind is not on the field after he got attacked in Ankaragücü game. I think he won't show his old performances again, he already stated that this is his last season here in Turkish league. When you have these kind of problems in the midfield you should look out for alternatives. Even Necip Uysal could've played better in midfield. I really wish Atiba was ready, we felt his absence whole season.
Rosier got injured and right wing attack quality dropped dramatically. Şenol Güneş made his moves only after Beşiktaş conceded second goal. Dele Alli didn't even play, that show us he's not ready to play at this level. Squad depth gives alarm for Beşiktaş, we can clearly see that. There are players but they are incapable, especially Turkish rotation is pretty weak. It's hard to compete with this squad.
Icardi played his best game since he came to Türkiye. On the other hand Weghorst missed a clear position again.
This one match is not an indicator but from what I've seen I don't see both teams to get the trophy this season. It looks like Fenerbahçe is one step ahead.

I watched tonight's match between Galatasaray and Beşiktaş. It was pretty one sided all along, especially in second half. Beşiktaş centre midfielders seem lost contact with planet earth. Galatasaray winger Rashica showed another extraordinary performance. Icardi scored 2 perfect goals yet I think its too early to say anything good about him. In my opinion Okan Buruk started to shape his favourite/best first 11. Oliveira/Rashica/Mertens trio is hardworking and talented, if they keep playing Galatasaray will mess any teams in league including Fenerbahçe.
Beşiktaş needs time - I don't wanna say anything about their style, they got new coach. But midfielders should definitely be replaced (Josef de Souza and Salih Uçan)

What we can learn from this situation is that Icardi is a great goal machine and he plays amazingly, which means that we should focus a bit more towards finding him for more goals. Before him, we had 37 year old striker who was helping us, but if you look at our total goals you'll see we weren't really doing that well tbf.

If we can fix scoring goals issue, we can handle the rest and we should be aiming higher, but if we can't do that then we are going to meddle with top 5 and thats it, no hope for championship, the title lays within scoring better solution.

Good wingers may mess Galatasaray up and score many goals.

No doubt players like Icardi are having good experience and skills which helping them for having results like these and surely these are going to open new opportunities for many other players to be here in this league which will surely increase quality and performance because recently we have good results from few teams in UEFA Conference league which is also good even still it's not easy and time-consuming, but things could be changed.

I am happy Galatasaray done good job in this important match and now second in league table even they still can go down but things looking positive for them here both teams need better conversations because this can increase more interest for fans and more goals always good for the game as well.

Two early goals through penalties were not enough for home team Trabzonspor to win this match and have three full points as Konyaspor able to have one point as Senegalese Diouf's two goals were enough for them even they were under pressure in last 30 minutes but still their defence done amazing job and have no space for Trabzonspor to win all three points which is surely setback for them and for their hopes now they have to stay seventh place their full fledge attack Gomez, Umut and Djaniny were completely failed to break defence even visitors were playing with ten men in last twenty minutes, and we have five yellow cards but no goal which is surely poor from home side in this important game.

I think that winning the derby game was very crucial for Galatasaray to enter the league championship race seriously again. They really did it by a decent level of performance. But being consistent is key at this point. Galatasaray have entered this path for weeks with a winning streak now.

In fact, they don't have issues with scoring goals anymore as it seems. Icardi's starting to show the expected level of performance can solve all the problems on finishing the dangerous attacks with goals. They need to focus on their defense more from now on. Maybe they beat Besiktas but there were some defensive issues still going on. This would be a big issue for them in the long term. If they work on this and have a positive result then they would stay as one of the biggest title contenders.

Saying things like "If not for Icardi Galatasaray couldn't win" makes no sense to me, its more like "without Mbappe and Messi, PSG would not be a good team" or "Without Salah Liverpool wouldn't have won this game", well yeah that's true, but that doesn't mean that its a bad thing, they do have those players and they win the games.

It looks like there is going to be a bit of a big comeback from Galatasaray in the later stages as well. GS has a famously hard schedule to start the season, and in the second half of the season during the spring period, we would usually play at home instead of away games. That means it could actually have a good impact as well, we could get to a better run at things and maybe fight for a title as well.
